generic but nice atmosphere, very friendly service and decent food. bar area especially nice as the wall of windows allow street views and natural light. had a rocket salad with salmon which was fresh and flavorful

simply hard to beat. while i understand the need to support the small restaurants - i really really do-

but i have to say - cactus club (and milestones) are just extremely hard to beat. they have the je ne sais quoi that leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed and at home. the decor is a little dark and masculine and ultra modern but you still feel comfortably and at home.

i had iron chef rob feenie's bbq duck clubhouse sandwich with a ginger breeze drink (*blackberry mint spritzer on ice type thing) and i was completely satisfied and highly recommend! cactus is a chain but if you read more on them, they are a canadian owned chain with good values, using sustainable practices and they give back to the community. they are a good bc owned business and i would support any bc owned business that follows a cactus club model.

$15 for their standard burger that was nothing special. the description in the menu about the fries sounded decidant but they were plain ol mccain 3/8's fries. rip-off.

not a fan, but it has gotten better. i have never been much of a fan of the cactus club cafe on douglas, however i have had to go there a few times recently and found a few items that i did not mind. i just wish the wait staff was not so ignorant. they are never friendly, they take forever to bring you water or drinks and always have attitude. my biggest problem with this place..... i went here to sit on the patio and have some drinks, it's a great location of that (when the sun is out) we ordered 2 bellini's and waited for them to come, about 30 minutes later we got our drinks and realized they were not the doubles we wanted.. not a big deal, we decided just to add a shot to each, simple solution. we flagged down our waitress and told her to bring us to vodka shots to add... problem fixed. not only did she bring us 2 shots of vodka like we asked, she brought us the most expensive vodka they had....... our bellini's ended up costing a fraction of what the shot cost! just for that very rude move, we left immediately and she ended up costing herself a good tip... oh yha made the bar money but not herself.... not a smart move.
i do not think i will be going back here again on my own accord.

great for lunch. went with a few friends for lunch. between us we tried the raincoast salad (with grilled chicken, avocado, pecans and feta), a cheeseburger and fries, chicken fajitas, and a side of yam fries. everybody loved their food and our server was really attentive. it took a little while for our lunches but not a big delay. very similar food and style to earl’s and even though chain restaurants aren’t usually my thing, i really like them both.

always good food.. the large sangria was a nice refreshing drink. the spicy chicken had lots of flavor and spices. excellent four mushroom steak. steak was tender and juicy lots of mushrooms and gravy. scallop and prawn spaghettini was done just right, perfect el dente spaghetti. key lime pie was good, just not a fan of the graham cracker crust. portions are large, prices are reasonable and service is always friendly.

excellent food and service.. the staff here are so friendly and efficient. the food is always really good especially the seasonal greens, always fresh and served with nice sweet strawberries. the flatbread with the goat cheese and balsamic vinegar is excellent. tuna tataki is done just perfect.

good food, nice atmosphere, decent prices. fun kind of food, not overly fancy just very satisfying for a decent price.
my favorites are the simple greens, grape tomatoes, roasted almonds, feta, seasonal berries, lemon-thyme vinaigrette. a crisp fresh salad, with sweet red strawberries, drizzled with a light dressing.
my other favorite is the prawn and scallop spaghettini, which is perfectly sauced with simple and fresh ingredients.
i have been to this location on many occassions and have always thoroughly enjoyed my meals, the friendly servers and the relaxing atmosphere.

the setting at cactus club cafe is a 5, the foods and drinks are 4-4.5, but the attitudes of some of the serving staffs are horribly low. some of them are extremely mean and rude, but most of the serving staffs are very nice especially the young lady named j. anna. a few sad people won't lower my attitude toward other hardworking staffs here.

i just got back from dinner and i had to give this place amazing feedback! the servers were extremely nice and helpful. the ambience was absolutely perfect and the food was to die for. it was easily one of the best meals i’ve had. the white chocolate cheesecake was a delicious end to this amazing dinner!!! i’d highly recommend going here.

awesome place the service here is fantastic and the staff is super helpful. the food is absolutely delicious and the millionaire cut was perfectly cooked. the drinks are reasonably priced and the meals are good value for money too.

came here on a wednesday around 3pm so it wasn't crazy busy, but still the service sucked. i asked for my meal without onions, and it arrived with onions... i didn't say anything. i ordered a drink and received a different one and pointed this out to her and she just said she thought i wanted the one she brought me rather than apologizing and just offered to exchange it. food was typical of chains and drinks were typical also. i suggest trying one of victoria's great non-chain restaurants!

(may 2016) went on a date night here-very romantic and somewhat attentive service. my friend was having a birthday and this being one of his favorite restaurants, i asked the waitress if she could do something special with dessert- she put a candle in the chocolate lava cake dessert and wrote happy birthday with caramel sauce, which was awesome! he was happy. the rest of the food was good too. he got the chicken fajitas (self-assembly required) and i got the double braised pineapple hoisin short rib, which was amazing. the chocolate lava cake was suitably rich, decadent and sweet and gone in a matter of minutes. nicely renovated bathrooms.

i was treated so poorly, so disrespectively at this location.

i usually try to stay away from chains, but i found myself here a few nights ago. i had the sangria and butternut squash ravioli without prawns. besides being a little pricey for what you get, the pasta was really good. i will be back.

i've been to cactus a few times many years before but i haven't gone back until recently. i'm not quite sure why i always avoided going there, because this time around, it blew my socks away! the signature sangria was exactly what i needed on a friday night. the calamari was pleasantly flavourful and a very generous serving. i was craving fish tacos and there it was on the menu so i gave it a try. i didn't think two tacos would be so filling. it was served with side chips and with an assortment of sauces. the potato skins were delicious too. i will not forget to dine there next time!  apart from the food, they're most secondly known for their luxurious washrooms.

the cactus club took me by complete surprise. i was ready for a regular dinner but our meal blew me out of the water. every single dish was amazing and the service was top tier as well!!!
