burma burma is the first restaurant in bengaluru serving exclusively burmese cuisine. it's a pure veg restaurant, they have some dishes in which they use mock meat. decor is pleasant and comfy, with beautiful display of variety of teas. you can buyteaalso. in burmese cuisine turmeric and gram flour is also used so taste is quite similar to indian palate.
food presentation is awesome.
we tried
samosa soup : samosa dipped in tomato based soup
khao suye : noodles served with coconut milk gravy and condiments .
burmese fried rice - it tasted like homemade turmeric rice.
vanilla ice-cream served with chocolate bomb and frozen rose.

if you want to try burmese cuisine you can give it a try.
as compared to the prices food doesn't live upto the expectations.

it’s a small and cute place
their hospitality was on point
when we talk about their food
1. we wanted to try their special teas (hot) but we weren’t able to as they said that their machine had some issues
but their coldteawas good too
2. starters and main course was satisfactory
3. dessert’s presentation was amazing and the taste was good.
4. there’s no way to reserve a table
the only way is to reach there and probably wait for 45 - 60 mins for a table
overall it’s a satisfactory experience

alright guys... what was supposed to be a casual outing for me turned out to be one of the best culinary experience of mine. though i went there only to satiate my evening hunger pangs, i was pleasantly surprised by the soothing ambience and courteous staff. let me highlight the key points below:
1. super courteous staff
2. good portion size
3. food is amazingly delicious
4. uber cool ambience + you can get some souvenirs if you want ;)

do note that they serve only vegetarian food. i also tried their bubbleteaand to be completely candid i was mesmerized by the taste. so please do not even think twice and just go and get yourselves a table there.

i am definitely going there again and again to explore the entire menu.

review update:

i visited them again this time and tried their fabled samosa soup. the taste, the flavour of that soup is eternal. definitely the best soup i had tasted in 2021. and in terms of desserts we tried the avocado ice-cream and it was heavenly in taste and the presentation too was spell bound. would highly recommend this place.

must get thetealeaf salad and the skewered duck. this place has quality food and great packaging for delivery. the lack of meat is compensated with the abundance in flavor.

ambience : beautiful space, we sat on high stools at theteabar since the place was full

food ( the ones we had were mostly vegan or non maida based) chilli tangy chickpeas tohu ( excellent), burmese khowsuey ( heavenly) , smoked guava drink ( amazing), tagu piyan and tres leche for dessert ( decent)

service : staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. kudos to them 👍🏼

value for money : worth every cent - it’s the price you pay for a good meal.

overall, this is one of the best meals i have had in bangalore, i would probably skip the desserts though and i am definitely going to be a regular here :)

always an amazing experience out here . love the food . not to forget the amazing service right from the entrance till the bill . vijay the manager at the entrance who manages the most difficult part with his 2 colleagues which is reservations, they did a fab job . and as regards to service ask for jeet - a cool , level headed guy and understand the mind of the customer even without we saying a word . awesomeness

do not miss the samosa soup, nutella bubbletea, raw mango salad

finally got a chance to visit burma burma restaurant &tearoom last sun for lunch. took my family on the occasion of raksha bandhan.
we reached sharp at 1 pm however had a waiting time of 45 min - 1 hr. after little struggle we finally got our table after 45 mins and i must say it was worth a wait.
we were greeted with some great ambiance and we were taken to far east of india.
started our meal with samosa soup, kachin style dried mustard soup & pumpkin and basil soup along with raw mango salad, lotus stem crisps and mushroom steamed buns for starters.
main course we ordered the signature oh no khowsuey, burmese fried rice, coconut rice with peanut chutney, spicy vegetable curry and tofu, water chestnut & lotus stem stir fry.
for desert we ordered avocado honey caviar and pina cola.
we ended our sumptuous lunch with camomile blossoms herbal infusionteaand yuzu bubble tea.
you get an enormous choise on the menu and the food is also not heavy on the tummy. delicious plate of food served by equally courteous staff.
for the spread that we ordered i felt the final cheque amount was in line to the food.
finally it was worth a visit at the authentic burmese food place.
thank you burma burma team
