burma burma is the first restaurant in bengaluru serving exclusively burmese cuisine. it's a pure veg restaurant, they have some dishes in which they use mock meat. decor is pleasant and comfy, with beautiful display of variety of teas. you can buy tea also. in burmese cuisine turmeric and gram flour is also used so taste is quite similar to indian palate.
food presentation is awesome.
we tried
samosasoup: samosa dipped in tomato based soup
khao suye : noodles served with coconut milk gravy and condiments .
burmese fried rice - it tasted like homemade turmeric rice.
vanilla ice-cream served with chocolate bomb and frozen rose.

if you want to try burmese cuisine you can give it a try.
as compared to the prices food doesn't live upto the expectations.

heard a lot about this restaurant and so decided to head here. the interiors are really well done and they have quite an extensive menu. the service is prompt. for the starters we had the very popular samosasoupwhich was okay. we also had the mock meat skewers and bao which fared slightly better than the soup. for the mains we had the burmese fried rice which was nothing special. for desserts we had the apple cinnamon icecream which was really nice and the coconut pannacotta which good as well. though the prices are slightly higher for the quantity.

are you pure vegetarian? want to experience different varieties of vegetarian cuisine? then this is the place you must not miss. it has simple and decent ambience it's the best vegetarian restaurant i've ever visited in my life. burman food is served here. we tried their signature samosasoupand it is very delicious. we also tried buns, dumplings and paratha. all the dishes were top notch and delicious. as they have a wide range of varieties, we could not taste more items at one go. i will definitely visit this place again. this is place moderately expensive. note: weekends wait time will be minimum 45 mins to 1 hr. please plan accordingly. one cannot reserve a table online.

ratings based on overall experience:

food taste: 5

ambience: 4

service: 4

quality: 5

waiting time: 2

this place was on my bucket list for a long time and finally i visited this place with a friend. the
ambiance was very pretty and quite soothing to the eyes. it seemed to be inspired from
burmese culture. the seats were also very comfy. the staff were quite friendly as well.

we started with their famous samosa soup. never would i have thought that i would be having
samosa in asoupbut this tasted really good. it was a perfect way to start the meal. then for
appetizers, we had mock meat skewers. the texture resembled the meat and the taste was nice
for this. for the main course, we had their khao suey. the portion sizes were pretty huge for it
and by the time we finished it, we were pretty full and didn’t have space for anything else. the
prices are on a slightly higher side but the food, ambiance and overall experience kinda makes
up for it.

alright guys... what was supposed to be a casual outing for me turned out to be one of the best culinary experience of mine. though i went there only to satiate my evening hunger pangs, i was pleasantly surprised by the soothing ambience and courteous staff. let me highlight the key points below:
1. super courteous staff
2. good portion size
3. food is amazingly delicious
4. uber cool ambience + you can get some souvenirs if you want ;)

do note that they serve only vegetarian food. i also tried their bubble tea and to be completely candid i was mesmerized by the taste. so please do not even think twice and just go and get yourselves a table there.

i am definitely going there again and again to explore the entire menu.

review update:

i visited them again this time and tried their fabled samosa soup. the taste, the flavour of thatsoupis eternal. definitely the bestsoupi had tasted in 2021. and in terms of desserts we tried the avocado ice-cream and it was heavenly in taste and the presentation too was spell bound. would highly recommend this place.

had been here with my divas last saturday for lunch as it's very famous veg resturant in indranagar.

we had ordered:
starters - samosasoupsplits, wa potato, burmese falafel

beverages - chocolate bubble tea, pomegranate and magnetism spritzer, spiced ginger, kumquat mojito, roibos

main course - raw mango salad, china town noodles, burmese fried rice

dessert - smokey avacado and honey caviar ice cream

service is quick, but has wait period during rush hours. price is comparatively higher when compared to portion. however tasty food and playing ambiance

when i call them to reserve my table, they just hyped up and denied to take my booking instead suggested me to walk in and they could provide us. however when i walked in i was told all tables were full and i will have to wait for 1 hour, but we wanted to try this place based on the hype and we ended up getting a table in next 10 minutes.
they just love to get overhyped for no reason.
with regards to food, soupand main course was decent didn't understand why this is so overhyped.
sticky rice was absolutely pathetic and it wasn't fresh.
we almost went before closing time and no one were interested to serve us.
this is just overhyped and over rated place.

to keep this short, will put forth the must trys and could be avoided!

must trys:
samosasoup(6/5)
khau suey (6/5)
chickpea tohu starter (forgot the exact name but different and nice) (5/5)
honey caviar ice cream (5/5)
cheesecake (6/5)
avoid:
lotus stem starter ( overly spicy and salty to the extent that it becomes pungent) also we got stale ones in the beginning and had to change that batch to get crisp ones
sticky rice with curried mushrooms (it was tasty but the curry was so so less for the quantity of rice) maybe u can ask them to be generous on the filling and then try. i would definitely order if they increased the filling.
can avoid the bubbles tea, personally i have had better ones for lesser price.

special mention to potato starters.. they were definitely yummy.. all the aloo lovers, go for it❤️

special mention to the presentation of almost all the dishes. they looked beautiful and mouth watering.

i don’t know what to say. it’s a very average asian cuisine restaurant. looking at the rating i wanted to try this place badly and to my surprise i dint find anything outstanding as listed in the reviews. it was extremely normal and average tasting food at a very costly price.

what we ordered:
samosa soup: it was just like a good samosa chat you can eat in any good chaat place. i still don’t understand how can a samosa dipped insoupcan cost 330₹ 🙄

mock meat : it tasted good. but nothing extraordinary. it was soya kebab of 6 pieces. again god knows how it can cost 550₹ i mean come on it’s not even meat to justify this price.😅

wheat udon street style noodles: it was like i was eating just tamarind. it was that sour. and being all vegetarian it was again costing around 500₹.

all in all an extremely overrated (probably could be the paid reviews) overpriced average tasting food. you can find much better and worthy restaurants for the price you pay here.
not going to visit again.

we visited on a tuesday evening and managed to get a table may be because we reached before 8pm. so, that was a good start.
for appetisers, we ordered the signature samosasoupand raw mango salad which were both great. the curried mushroom bao was okay.
for the main course, we went for the recommended oh no khow suey and it was not a disappointment at all. it really lived upto the expectations.
the waiter was very polite and explained the dishes very well.
overall, the food and the experience was a relish.
