very cute place ,goodservice and friendly staff :)

a wide selection of items and of course burgers

i tried the emperor it’s one of the specials ( not on the menu) : wagyu beef patty , caramelized bacon , fried tomatoes , ranch sauce and arugula , with a side of sweet potato fries .
one of the best burgers i ve ever tried , highly recommended.

it’s a combination of great ambience, delayed service, amazing burgers and average fries. yes correct! they definitely need to improve the quality of the fries. they were a bit soggy and thick. the next part about the burgers were that you can replace the beef patty with a veggie patty in all their burgers, which is amazing. the burgers were tasty too but a bit over priced. overall agoodexperience!
ambience - 4/5
food - 3.5/5
value for money - 3/5
service - 3/5

i find this place should be rated higher as findinggoodjuicy burgers in montreal isn't that easy!! i've been a couple of times with friends before going out. the burgers are top notch. the meat is not too thick and not dry, i recommend the bison burgers!! juicy, well seasoned and includesgoodand fresh vegetables. don't forget to grab a beer and you're set.

overall my experience at burger bar was very disappointing. i had called to make reservations for a saturday night. without knowing there was going to be a hockey night that same night. so with that in mind, i knew it was going to be busy and loud. yet not poorly managed!
it started off bad by them not being able to find our reservation. i mentioned when i called and who i spoke with. which those details made little to no difference to the careless hostess. so we had to sit at a table which the music was blasting in our ears and the door kept opening and closing letting the cold air in. eventually we were moved to a slightly better table.
when ordering our meals at 8:30pm, one of our burgers weren't available. ok, so we chose something else. when both of our meals arrived, they were well prepared, goodand hot. so no complaints there.
when we decided to order dessert, out of the 7 things they have in their menu, again three choices weren't available. one being a strawberry cheesecake and the other a ben&jerry's ice cream sundae. so we ordered the fried mars bars. which were good, but not great. they were clearly made in a rush. again, disappointing! especially on something so simple to make such as a fried mars bar.
my overall suggestion, do not go on a very busy night. such as a night when there's a hockey game or any type of show at the bell centre. this restaurant clearly cannot seem to handle large crowds very well.
not to mention that their floors both upstairs and downstairs were dangerously slippery!! kindly dry or mop your floors and get a carpet for snowy/icy weather days.

burger heaven!. i thought i had died and gone to burger heaven after finding burger bar crescent. everything was so good. the bread was deliciously buttery & toasted. i could tell the meat was of a verygoodquality. the different burgers all sounded interesting but i decided to eat the shroom burger which was fantastic. the fries was crispy and perfectly cooked. our waiter suggested i get an order of truffle mayo which was incredible. what can i say other than i will be back.

meat loaf bar a bit of a disappointment.... (sorry, we meant burger bar). first let us say that a burger is a burger, and meat loaf is meat loaf. if you are the kind of person who likes meat loaf instead of a burger, please disregard our review. if, like us, you are a burger puritan, and find it offensive when restaurants promote meat loaf as burgers, then please read on.

this was our first visit to this establishment, and upon entering, the ambience was nice, as was the service. the server was incredibly quick and polite, and we had a couple cold pints and our food in next to no time. here's where the trouble starts.....

we ordered the two burgers the restaurant is "known" for. firstly, "the hangover" (peoples choice award. i don't know which people, but there it is in black and white on the menu, so it is certainly beyond scrutiny). it is described as "triple a beef patty", american cheese, bacon, mini poutine, fried egg, caramelized onion and truffle oil. the burger arrived quickly, and i could immediately detect the truffle oil (agoodsign, right?), and i started by digging into the mini poutine with the truffle oil, and it was delicious. the trouble came when i approached, no, penetrated the patty. the burger is in fact, more meat loaf than burger, and i was immediately turned off. again, when i read the menu, it clearly said "triple a beef patty", but neglected to mention that it had been transformed into a meat loaf via assorted seasonings, and then shaped into a burger and served between my buns. instead of a pure and beefy patty, there were sharp overtones of my grandmothers meatloaf afoot, and this essentially ruined the experience for me.

in hope that maybe just the "hangover" was made with this patty, i investigated my wife's burger "the dude", described as "triple a beef", veal and pork patty, monterey jack and mozzarella cheese, "special" house ketchup, crispy fried onions and an artisan brioche bun with sesame seeds. regrettably, this patty had also been transformed into meat loaf. and though i expect that the "special" house ketchup is indeed made "in house" it totally lacked the "special" qualities and tasted pretty much like like ketchup.

the side order of poutine and onion rings we ordered were ok, and just that, leaving the overall effect rather forgettable for us. despite the excellent service, and what we are sure are some house made ingredients and recipes, it really isn't a "hamburger" in the truest sense of the word. with so many outstanding "real" burger joints out there, it is unlikely we will return.

you seem to not understand. it's clear that you say the same thing over and over in your replies. you do not use fresh cut fries. thats a lie. your portions are very small. you are selling potatoes and cheese an sauce. it's shows that your business plan to thrive on crescent street is terrible. you will shut down soon. for god sakes mcdonalds has a better poutine than you. anyways doesn't matter what i say. all i know is that i'm never stepping in that place again to get ripped off.goodluck. you'll need it.

best burger in town?? you're kidding right? first time & last time. so overpriced for nothing. $14.00 for a poutine of that size & quality?? i'll stick with poutineville or paolo & suzanne. it's potatoes with curd cheese & sauce. not gold for god sake. sorry burger bar. you suck bad. never again.

saw this on groupon and readgoodreviews so decided to give it a try. special was 1lb of chicken wings and burger of your choice. chicken wings were nothing special as well as the hangover and jack daniels burgers. the food should be hot but was more like room temperature. disappointed after all the reviews. 5 guys, burger de ville, and qdc burgers is much better

to wrap things up, we had agoodtime tonight as far as the vibe and service went. food-wise, we had better luck with the burgers than the rest, so we would advise our readers to stick to the former (this is a burger joint after all).
