my boyfriend and i decided to go out for a last minute date night and he suggested we try this place because tsn690 raved about the jackdaniel's bbq burger... last minute saturday night reservations was not an issue for this resto... we were greeted and serviced by a friendly staff... *side note: poker was on tv and we asked to have the channel changed to hawks vs ducks game and was granted our request within minutes...(kudos for that) i ordered the 'chix dig it chicken sandwich' which comes with avocado and bacon was delisssshhhhh, my lover had the jack daniel's bbq burger with sweet potatoefriesand that was also freaken delisshhhhhh, we shared the macncheese which was yummy and so cheesy... a definite place to try if you haven't been ... thanks burger bar crescent for a successful evening....

i tried the emperor it’s one of the specials ( not on the menu) : wagyu beef patty , caramelized bacon , fried tomatoes , ranch sauce and arugula , with a side of sweet potatofries.
one of the best burgers i ve ever tried , highly recommended.

burger bar is awesome! the meat is of excellent quality, they have a nice selection of beers on tap and everything is just so incredibly delicious. i've tried my burgers (that are giant by the way) with a side salad and also a poutine once and both were incredible. theirfriesare really tasty and it makes all the difference. the ambiance is also very nice. its fairly small on the first floor, but you can see into the kitchen and watch all the talented cooks do their thing. very fun!

burger heaven!. i thought i had died and gone to burger heaven after finding burger bar crescent. everything was so good. the bread was deliciously buttery & toasted. i could tell the meat was of a very good quality. the different burgers all sounded interesting but i decided to eat the shroom burger which was fantastic. thefrieswas crispy and perfectly cooked. our waiter suggested i get an order of truffle mayo which was incredible. what can i say other than i will be back.

the only real complaint about the food was the sweet potato fries. they were good but there was not much of them. other than the sweet potatofriesthough and for a higher end burger joint, this place gets it right. the price is not something we would complain about but it’s something to point out. while it’s not crazy expensive, going to any restaurant on this street will obviously be a little more expensive than something down the road due to its location. i ordered a spiked milkshake and a soda with my meal and the bill was roughly 30$ without tip. this wasn’t that bad for a night out with friends but wouldn’t be something i do on a consistent basis, or maybe just cut out a milk shake or a drink and the price can start to be realistic. it’s always a nice place to have a catch up with friends and we highly recommend checking it out!

amazing. i went for the first time after hearing good things, and i wasnt disapointed what so ever. it was excelent honestly best burger place in all of montreal . i had the supersonic just perfect in everyway(burgers are fresh and huge barely fits in your mouth) my girlfriend is vegeterian she had the black bean vege burger she found it delicious and fresh. and also thefriesare adictive and seasoned very well. i have nothing negative to say service was excelent food was excelent . i will definitly be going back soon.

p.s for dessert try the deep fried mars bar with ice cream worth every penny dilicious to the point were i still grave it and big enough to share with two people.

it's all about the burgers. after 2 visits, the burgers are definitely worth a shot. i tasted the foie gras burger and the jack daniels pulled pork and they are both very good.. a friend of mine tasted their awarded "best burger of mtl" which included a poutine in the burger and it wax pretty big and tasty. my girlfriend also tasted the tuna burger and it was surprisingly very good for a fish burger.
you do not want to go there if you're on a diet, this is not gastronomy, but good old tasty and comforty food. though you can choose betweenfriesand salad i'd recommend the fries; i found the salad vinaigrette to be too sweet.
a downside is the long service, the second time i went there it took 20 min to get the drinks we ordered and another 30 min to get our meals. it may have been due to the fact that we were sitting upstairs and therefore tend to be forgotten, because the first time i went there it was not that long. in the end, i will go back because their burgers make up for the delay and it's fairly priced.

this is the worst resto i've ever been. i do not recommend to anyone. worst service. i asked 4x for a glass of water. it never came and the waitress was in front of her cash talking with the other waitress. i really regret to buy a coupon on groupon. the meat was overcooked. the frenchfrieswere not fresh at all. it was cold. the kitchen is so damn slow. i waited 45 mins to get 2 hamburgers. it's so ridiculous.

red sangria wasn't that good. ordered three burgers cooked medium and all came out well done. otherwise the burgers were decent and fit the usual montreal burger theory that taller and messier is better. boss is your standard burger with a fried egg. burger royale comes with double cheese. and firestorm is the spicy burger with lots of banana peppers, jalapeño relish, jalapeno havarti, spicy mayo, and a homemade 911 hot sauce that is a combo of several hot sauces. it was hot but not so hot you can't enjoy it.frieswere fresh cut. salad had a nice orange vinaigrette dressing. service was good, friendly, and helpful. overall, better burgers than several others i've tried in montreal, but still not great in my book.

the burgers are above the bar. i've been here several times now, each time with a craving for a rather exotic variant of burgers. the establishment has casual vibe, somewhere between a sports bar and a remotely fancy restaurant. the friendliness of the staff really puts you at ease, and it only adds to the overall atmosphere of a "hip, young, downtowny" welcomeness. did i forget to mention the brick walls?

i've had several burgers here now, and i find myself watering just a little from my mouth each time. their burgers are all cooked beautifully; the meat, never dry and always juicy, the buns, toasted just enough to give it a light, crisp exterior, and the sauces (which you may find oozing between your finger tips as you take a bit) blend together nicely with the toppings. the jack daniel's bbq burger, a nice bold, slightly sweet flavor, definitely capturing the essence of what barbeque would be with a little bit of alcohol. the wild shroom burger, a beautiful combination of grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, and even roasted garlic mayonnaise, which for someone like me who loves those three things together, was one i definitely enjoyed picking at the toppings that fell over onto the plate. the baba burger, with babaghanoush, definitely surprised me; its overall authenticity as a "burger" was not overwhelmed by the slight acidity and boldness of its babaghanoush flavor, definitely something to try if you're in the mood for something "slightly" vegetarian. they even have a pulp-fiction inspired, bacon "royale with cheese." a rather simple burger, but definitely one that packs a punch. my personal favorite, the hangover burger. i don't know what it is about fried eggs, but i just love having one in the middle of the burger. the runny yolk oozing along the beef patty as well as on to the bun just gives the entire burger a little more cohesiveness, figuratively and literally. of course they have their famed poutine burger, which i have seen to be towering delight of what appears to be a 4-inch thick layer of poutine smack in the center of the burger. something i have yet to try, but definitely something i will try soon.

they serve each of their burgers with afriesor salad option, and though i do love fries, their lightly marinated green salad is an appetizing option. the prices are not cheap, but nothing outrageous either, a solid $25 for a meal (with tax and tip included) would fill your stomach and keep you happy. burger bar definitely has a place right around the top of montreal's long list of burger joints, and definitely one you'll want to go more than once

the pulled pork was quite good with a nice sweetness in the sauce. thefrieswere very nice and the cheese had the right level of squeakiness. however, the gravy was pretty flat to me and my friends. it left us with a poutine that was good but not great.

the menu, oh my god. so difficult to choose! the entrées page had the usual greasyfriesand cheese sticks, but also included multiple varieties of wings and very interesting meal-sized poutines and mac&cheese. the burger section, in all its glory, displayed 16 solid choices, all with fries, slaw or salad on the side with options to upgrade. for quite a while, we simply peered at the ingredients in every burger, imagining the union of exotic and classic flavours in a juicy burger, and mentally screaming, "hnnnnggggg what do i get!" at least, i was.

thefriesare delicious: crispy, hand cut and well salted. the burger was dry, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for several hours. the excellentfriesdon't make up for the hockey puck on a bun served with them.

a great lunch spot in montreal's downtown core. i had the royale with cheese (as the pulp fiction fan that i am) and it was awesome. thefrieswere tasty, the service was great and the atmosphere was very chill. i will be back... with friends!

i've been to burger a few times and felt compelled to share. their burgers are melt in your mouth delicious. my favorite is the mushroom burger. the sweet potatofriesand marshmallow milkshake make the meal unbelievable. i leave and wish the experience didn't end. the staff makes you feel welcome and is very accomodating. i love it and hope you try it out next time you're downtown, your tastebuds will thank you:)
