did not live up to its hype. second time at bulla this week. first time, first rate; today not so good. party of four foodies, waiter could never get the order right in english or spanish. food was salty, salty, salty. gazspacho was lukewarm and not chilled. patatas bravo not fully cooked; datelle beicon was so salty only one was eaten. ensalada cochinillo was great. cortadito was cold. magnificent decor and so wish the restaurant would live up to its reputation every day. huevos bulla (aka huevos por fin) were great in spite of what the herald critic said. cheese and sausages also worth it.

carlos centurion, its owner, decided he wanted to revamp the place; taking the ambiance and cuisine to a different level. bulla gastrobar was born, and with it came a tasty selection of tapas, charcuteries, sangrias and a vibe you won't believe. i visited bulla on a friday night and immediately noticed the happening, electric energy around us. front stage and center was the bar, bustling with people enjoying the incredible happy hour specials and saying goodbye to the office for at least a couple of days. you don't have to wait until friday though and can pretty much kiss off the work woes everyday of the week because bulla offers happy hour deals from monday-sunday. the first thing i noticed was that gone were the more traditional days of the previous establishment and in was a casual, fun feel reminiscent of the spanish tavernas in

food is good and the menu is what we expect for a spanish food place in miami ( good but not really spanish ). drinks are well elaborated. service is very regular and decoration is simple but nice .

this restaurant located in the heart of coral gables is an ideal place to get together with friends and drink more than permitted by law. the decoration is casual, modern and welcoming. they specialize in spanish food with tinges of international cuisine. as its name suggests, gastrobar provides a comfortable space to share "tapas" while you enjoy sport events, celebrate a special occasion or toast with your co-workers during its happy hour.

what we liked the most: branzino churrasco

this is a place that encourages sharing, but some of the dishes are too small to share, thus the lower 3.5 rating. at our table, one of the favorites was coca de rabo, a flatbread topped with oxtail and caramelized onions, but the grilled octopus was a close second. the menu has attractive dishes to please just about anyone. for the price of most dishes, but not all, the portions should be larger.

been here before couple of months ago.
the food is getting horrible, less food more costly.
popr quality, its gettinng too commercialized and a place for visitors (tourist) where they come only once.
place gets toooo loudly... unanle to have a good dinner.
food looks and taste cheap...
good server, (alejandro) other than that it will be a long time for them to see me back and i work and live in the gables.

i really didn't know what to expect of bulla other than it looked like a great restaurant setting and served traditional spanish food. really, nothing more needs to be known when you have at least those two things and those two things alone drew me in.   to commence the meal was carpaccio de salmon. it was scrumptious, amazing, and everything in between but just too damn salty.     although not ideal for this hot weather, i still ordered the caldereta de mariscos. it was really good and definitely worth the sweat. there was plenty of potatoes, large pieces of fish and although not mentioned in the menu description, a good amount of shrimp.   my dining companion went a completely different route and ordered the pan con minuta with patata bravas. it was quite good and the homemade ketchup added a nice touch.   the flan de coco was the perfect sweet ending to a lovely lunch.     bulla gastrobar 2500 ponce de leon blvd, coral gables, fl 33134 (305) 441-0107 www.bullamiami.com

bulla gastrobar, formally por fin, is where you can eat and drink your way to spain. at bulla, you can find tapas from some of the top restaurants in spain. if your in the mood for pretty good spanish tapas, then check out bulla for yourself. bulla is located in coral gables. we recently checked it out and here are some of the things we ate.

not for mom & dad. my parents came from out of town to visit us for the holidays, and at my dads insistence we decided to celebrate my mom's birthday at bulla. first of all, when we arrived they told us to wait for the table to be set up, after 15 minutes we were seated. well, all except my parents as they only had high chairs, very uncomfortable. after talking to the waiter, we waited with my mom standing by the table. no feedback as they all seem to be busy??

the waiter told us she could not do anything as these are the only chairs available. hate to say it but this is no place to bring your parents, very uncomfortable seats.!

after ordering a couple of plates, pricey by the way, we decided to go someplace else more suitable for family outings.

i am indeed very embarrassed with the entire situation and seeing my mom struggling with her seat. not again!

great food crappy service! will never be back! we had a party of 7 so the 18% gratuity was already included but the waiter didn't deserve half of that. he was rude and slooooow! don't waste your time!

fresh seafood. the crispy cajun soft-shell crabs were placed on top of gumbo and rice. crab tasted fresh and the gumbo made me feel as though i was eating a a recipe that had been passed down for generations - yum!

while you are here you need to try the huevos bulla. it is a combination of almost see through thin potato chips, topped with eggs, serrano ham and potato foam sprinkled with f truffle oil. it’s a mixture of laid back comfort food with an elevated twist. i suggest mixing it all together and take a bite that encompasses all the ingredients. it has a variety of textures and flavors that blend seamlessly. no matter if it’s breakfast time or late at night you should definitely order this.
