delicious!. with such great weather yesterday we opted to dine outside and quickly foun out they are dog friendly out there! for an appetizer we had the mac ncheeseand it included shrimp and andouille sausage. the sausage was great but the shrimp seemed to be of the frozen, pre cooked kind. neither of us cared for the shrimp much. other than that, it was a great velvetycheesesauce. hubs had the vikings lamb burger with cole slaw and i had the bru burger with fries, served with their homemade ketchup and black pepper mayo, per my request. our burgers were cooked to a perfect medium and were extremely flavorful!! loved, loved the meat! after about 4 bites the hubs took of his burger, i heard him crunch on something very hard, so hard you could chip a tooth, the feta-olive relish on there and the chopped up kalamata seeds in it! big no no! so after a couple more hard crunches the hubs stopped eating it. not sure if that was a oops on their part or if that is how it's always served, but it wasn't enjoyable for him. my burger was great, couldn't ask for a better burger other than thecheeseon it. the taleggiocheesewas too overpowering for me. next time i'd just switch up the cheese. the bacon on my burger was fantastic! fries were great too! so we would love to return with our pooches, and try some different items!

ok-it’s a chain not a mom and pop joint.we did not know that until we had already started eating;mea culpa.what intriqued us about this place was the combination of beef used in their patties;sirloin,chuck and brisket.all the meat comes from a local farm,and ground and packaged locally;which is pretty cool.in either event it makes for one delicious burger.they have all the usual combos;mushroom,swiss;bbq,bacon etc.they also have a pacific rim ;a burger topped with shrimp,pineapple,guacamole and some sort of cheese. since we wanted to taste the burger pat and i picked the classic,a plain old cheeseburger;with a cold set and condiments.among theircheeseofferings they have white cheddar ;rare for most burger joints but great for a mid-rare burger.which brings me to my only “complaint”.my medium rare was more medium than rare,a very minor problem,as the hunk o meat was still delicious.they make their own ketchup as well,thinner than most and sweeter as well.it’s definitely more a dipper

great atmosphere, great food. i made the mistake of ordering their specialty burgers the first few times i came here- don't get me wrong they were delicious, but i could hardly finish my meal it was so much! i now get the "burger snack" and customize it the way i like- and it's perfection. (definitely more cost effective as well.) their appetizers are outstanding also, i highly recommend the pretzels, and the beercheeseis amazing. you can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients!

this place makes a great burger.  thecheeseplate also very worth getting.  i also enjoy the atmosphere.  i've been here when it was super busy and they seemed to handle it very well.

burger was good but pricey since you buy sides and nothing comes with your burger. my husband for the mushroom burger didn't know it was tofu he was a little disappointed it was missing beef. chillicheesefries were amazing

i did not love the bru burger! it may have been the time we went, but the bun on my burger was not fresh. my wife has to eat gluten-free, and they offer a burger that is. however, they messed up her order and put mayo on it. they took it back and just scraped the mayo off, and they just returned the same meat too. by then, the meat andcheesewere cooled off. it was not the best experience.

a fancy diner with a beautiful location . i would suggest you go here if your looking for an over priced dinner. i wouldn't say their burgers were not up to the mark but there was something missing . we started off with drinks, a couple of us ordered martinis and some beer. the martini i selected was quite strong compared to what others which i'm not complaining about. the beer however was dark beer and very distasteful according to me. moving on top our main course since there were about 10 of us we all tried to select a different burger. i went for the molten bbq melt as i wanted some pork. the pork was shredded and delicious however the burger oozed oil which just made eating it a hassle. also i think some flavour could have been added as a sauce or dip. as a side i selected onion rings which were massive but so yummy. the portion for the nachos was very pleasing. it came with guacamole and cream dip. there were quite a few chicken bits and i seemed to enjoy that dish the most but we never managed to finish it even among 10 people it seemed impossible. the threecheeseburger was just out of this world. it just made me feel so obese. since it was a friends birthday we were amazed by the hospitality of bru burger as they gave us two portions of the smores cake. the cake was heavenly however since we were stuffed beyond words we could not relish it. the prices are standard for the quantity although i wouldn't come here again as i didn't find the burgers all that good.

best burgers in town. my cousins told me about the place and i was amazed! best burger i have ever had. great service. good portions. couldn't complain. definite staple for indy.

garlic threecheeseburger. melts in your mouth! love the sauce. can't go wrong with this burger. garlic is a perfect blend not over powering.

good burgers. we visited there last night with my wife and 22 and 14 year old boys. we had about a 20 minute wait for a table which was no big deal. once seated, our server was there promptly and we received good service all night. we ordered the hot pretzels as an appetizer and they were delicious. my wife had the provencal burger which she thought was very juicy but also a bit messy. she gave it a big thumbs up though. i had the bourbon burger which was also very good. i had onion rings with my burger and they were ok but not special (a little too much breading for my tastes). my 14 year old son had the 3cheesegarlic burger and found it way to "garlicky" and only ate half of it. my other son just had a simple burger with lettuce and tomato. all but me had fries which were pretty good and we all really enjoyed the homemade ketchup. my wife had a couple beers and one of the kids had a coke. two of us just had water. our bill was $71. the burgers were really good but overall, the place is a little overpriced. we'll go back because we really did enjoy the meal but it won't be often because of the price.

food is amazing. i love the fact they hand make their veggie burgers and will fix them up anyway you like. the roasted peppers and goatcheesewas absolutely delicious. the service was pretty good too except when it came to pay and i had a change coming to me ($14) and the waiter brought me back zero. ha. i did ask him though and he eventually fixed it. it seemed weird. but yeah the food was great.

i like to try my competition so i visited bru burger to see what kind of food someone who wins best burger on the indy a-list serves. we started with a cup of chili and their soft pretzel appetizers. chili was watery and sweet. tasted like cinnamon. the pretzels were good but the "beer"cheesewas plain thincheesesauce. next, my wife got their burbon burger and orings and i got their classic baconcheeseburger both cooked mid well. mine came out a good mid well but my wife's was way over cooked. the bourbon on the burger was way over powering and the orings were mostly beer batter with very little onion and no seasoning. my burger wasn't bad but not something i would pay $11 for with side. tried their bbq and it was some type of french dressing mixed with a couple other ingredients. their house ketchup was ok but way too thin and sweet. the burgers were no better than chains but not awful. would i go back? probably not because for what you get....they are way over priced.

very good beer selection and good atmosphere. lamb burger was really delicious, quality meat and very fresh. also has the tuna burger. it cams on whole grain bun that was tasty and was fresh and of high quality. could have used a little wasabi. stay away from the mac ncheesewith shrimp and andouille. it was runny and did come together as a dish at all. the shrimp tasted farmed and frozen. ketchup tasted homemade....fries didn't'. service was good....we ate at the bar. we are going back!!

'steer' clear of this meat palace. had the garlic threecheeseburger. not good. no greens, no tomato, no onions, your average white bun. burger meat was poor.

came with a house created ketchup that was cloyingly sweet and runny-ran right off the burger when poured.

top it all the soft drinks were flat.

this for an inflated price.

this place rocks!. my boyfriend and i have been here a couple of times now and we love it every time. perfect place to dine when you want great food in a relaxed atmosphere. we split the garlic threecheeseburger and the pacific rim burger, both of which were recommended by our server and both did not disappoint! we loved them! the pineapple is a surprisingly unexpected delight on the pacific burger - we will definitely order it again. the bartenders are awesome as well, they make a mean dirty martini and the pear martini on their menu is amazing.

went downtown to see "devil makes3" last night, before the show we decided to beat feet and see what we could find to eat! ( not at all familiar wit downtown) we stumbled upon "bru" this place is amazing! best burger i have ever had and, the chilicheesefries are the bomb! see ya again soon bru! did i mention the waitress was the greatest?
