fancy sauce. despite being extremely busy (though we went the weekend of the mini, not sure what i was expecting.) were defiantly heading back sometime soon. the set up is slightly strange and its awkward even trying to get abeerfrom the bar while your waiting for your seat, not to mention the waiting area made it appear as though you were sitting at the people on the other side of the glass' table.
however the food was really good, though the menu has been changed and is not exactly like the one online. they pair a lot of ingredients that aren't typically seen together.they had a decent selection of craft brews on draft and in bottles.

the best part was the thing my boyfriend and i liked to call "fancy sauce" its labeled as chipotle bbq but it doesn't taste quite like that. its an odd blend of what i can only assume is their homemade ketchup and smokey bbq sauce. very interesting and very good. also the "fancy ranch" is to die for....no joke i didn't even eat ranch before i tried theirs.

visited bru again recently and we were impressed to hear they had decided to change up the menu already. we loved the previous menu so thankfully none of our favorites were missing. we tried their wings this time since someone from their staff raved about them to us-- very good but for us they weren't as delicious as their burgers. we also decided to try something new and got the shrimp ceviche. we got a healthy portion served with tortilla chips. it was very fresh and enjoyable but not spicy at all despite the mention of sriracha in the description. i think it could have been better seasoned with cilantro, pepper, more lemon. staff is well educated about thebeermenu which is a big plus. choco milkshake was awesome ;)

amazing! my boyfriend and i stopped here on our way from new york to arizona and we're pleasantly surprised by the price and quality of the food. we each got a $7beerflight, a salad, and we split the bourbon burger and the mexican burger. absolutely delicious. we both agreed that the bourbon was the best burger we've ever had. i wish there were more locations. i will be going back here if i'm ever in indianapolis again.

great atmosphere, great food. i made the mistake of ordering their specialty burgers the first few times i came here- don't get me wrong they were delicious, but i could hardly finish my meal it was so much! i now get the "burger snack" and customize it the way i like- and it's perfection. (definitely more cost effective as well.) their appetizers are outstanding also, i highly recommend the pretzels, and thebeercheese is amazing. you can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients!

a fancy diner with a beautiful location . i would suggest you go here if your looking for an over priced dinner. i wouldn't say their burgers were not up to the mark but there was something missing . we started off with drinks, a couple of us ordered martinis and some beer. the martini i selected was quite strong compared to what others which i'm not complaining about. thebeerhowever was darkbeerand very distasteful according to me. moving on top our main course since there were about 10 of us we all tried to select a different burger. i went for the molten bbq melt as i wanted some pork. the pork was shredded and delicious however the burger oozed oil which just made eating it a hassle. also i think some flavour could have been added as a sauce or dip. as a side i selected onion rings which were massive but so yummy. the portion for the nachos was very pleasing. it came with guacamole and cream dip. there were quite a few chicken bits and i seemed to enjoy that dish the most but we never managed to finish it even among 10 people it seemed impossible. the three cheese burger was just out of this world. it just made me feel so obese. since it was a friends birthday we were amazed by the hospitality of bru burger as they gave us two portions of the smores cake. the cake was heavenly however since we were stuffed beyond words we could not relish it. the prices are standard for the quantity although i wouldn't come here again as i didn't find the burgers all that good.

busy, but good service and food. 😃 the only downer was the fries. it tasted a bit burnt. but the burger was fantastic!! they don't have much of abeerselection (i.e. no guinness or other stout beers).

bru burger is by far the best burger i have ever had - a close 2nd would be the wilbur burger at kennedy school in portland, or. i used the build your option and went with lamb, horseradish havarti, pickles, bacon and chili mayo. every bite was like being wrapped in a velvet blanket at your death. the taste and soft texture of the havarti and mayo lingered on my tongue as i savored every bite. i had the smore for dessert which was a continuation of the ecstasy. service was attentive and professional. atmosphere was pleasant and thebeerand wine selection is good. i give bru 5 outta 5 bc there is literally nowhere for this restaurant to improve in my honest opinion.

i like to try my competition so i visited bru burger to see what kind of food someone who wins best burger on the indy a-list serves. we started with a cup of chili and their soft pretzel appetizers. chili was watery and sweet. tasted like cinnamon. the pretzels were good but the "beer" cheese was plain thin cheese sauce. next, my wife got their burbon burger and orings and i got their classic bacon cheese burger both cooked mid well. mine came out a good mid well but my wife's was way over cooked. the bourbon on the burger was way over powering and the orings were mostlybeerbatter with very little onion and no seasoning. my burger wasn't bad but not something i would pay $11 for with side. tried their bbq and it was some type of french dressing mixed with a couple other ingredients. their house ketchup was ok but way too thin and sweet. the burgers were no better than chains but not awful. would i go back? probably not because for what you get....they are way over priced.

very goodbeerselection and good atmosphere. lamb burger was really delicious, quality meat and very fresh. also has the tuna burger. it cams on whole grain bun that was tasty and was fresh and of high quality. could have used a little wasabi. stay away from the mac n cheese with shrimp and andouille. it was runny and did come together as a dish at all. the shrimp tasted farmed and frozen. ketchup tasted homemade....fries didn't'. service was good....we ate at the bar. we are going back!!

yummy. in town with dci. found this place on reviews from urbanspoon. we sat outside during the indy centurion. the sandwiches were great. the vegi burger did not taste at all like your typical frozen soy patty. it was made from beans and mushrooms, very good. the end was the best burger my son (21 years old) has ever ordered. thebeerselection was extensive and the atmosphere was wonderful. most of the staff was friendly. the only item that i would not order again was the onion rings. not really my favorite.

the best burger i've had in town
so far. a little steep for what you get 20 bux for a burgerbeerand fries. asked for no mayo, that got missed somewherw along the line didn't say anything just scraped it off. bartender was real cool though, friendly and attentive. definitely worth checking out. as a whole the food in this town is generally disappointing. however they do a good burger. temperature was right flavor was good, they have good combos and ingredients. i say worth checking out and i'll go back

great food, great beer. i had heard a lot about this place recently, so i decided to check it out with a friend of mine. even with the high expectations, i was not disappointed. i got the pacific rim burger, which was delicious, along with matilda by goose island, a great brewing company based in chicago. the selection of draftbeerwas fantastic, and the waitress was knowledgeable about the different drafts they had. i will definitely be eating again here soon.

awesomebeerand burgers, which are flavorful, thick and juicy (despite arriving more medium well than medium rare as we ordered – my only complaint) and reasonably priced for the quality. the ranch dressing — and homemade ketchup — gave my taste buds such a thrill that it only could have been delivered to earth by unicorn gods. it really complimented my perfectly crisp beer-battered onion rings. although completely unneeded, the bread pudding was deliciously gooey with a texture more similar to cobbler which i actually prefer.
