super slow service on a random tuesday, lunchtime, in the off season. server could not have been nicer and she did keep drinks full... but everthing took forever. everything. food was ok. fish was better than shrimp, but we're not wild about panko. cocktail sauce and fries were exceptional but nothing else was memorable. pleasantatmospherebut cannot recommend.

brother shuckers, what a great place to dine at. theatmosphereas well as the staff are excellent. great food great prices. the best crab cake you will find anywhere. if you are on vacation be sure to stop here!!
3rd trip 9-4-17 still amazing no wait

a hidden gem!! great food, great atmosphere, great service. the live entertainment lent to the relaxedatmospherewithout being intrusive. the owner stopped to chat with each table and made guests feel very welcome and cared for. food was delicious, especially the crab cakes - truly scrumptious!! a fun and tasty meal at a reasonable price, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

my wife and i went to brother shuckers this evening and if i had to sum it up in one word it would be disappointed. between the rave reviews here on the spoon and apparently a local blog about the restaurant we thought it was a sure fire winner. unfortunately we were wrong. first the good. the restaurant is located in a new little retail area and has a very nice and casualatmospherewith dining inside and outside available. we started off with the o'brother shrimp which were good. nice crunch and a good flavor with a perfect amount of heat. then came the disappointment. we had completely finished our appetizer and our first round of drinks before our server returned to take our entree order. my wife and i both noticed the service was all but falling apart all over the restaurant. tables sitting w/o drinks or not even being greeted, some actively looking for their server while others trying to just get their check. its as if the service had no organization. our food honestly didn't take very long to come out but what we recieved wasn't very good. my wife ordered crab cakes which were luke warm and the mac & cheese had a film as if it had been sitting in the service window too long. the shrimp and grits i ordered had potential but missed the mark. the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery and while the sausage gravy had a decent taste they drowned the entire dish in it which made it unedible.
i hate to bash restaurants being a former server/cook myself but our experience was awful. they might work these problems out but eat at your own risk.

i've lived here for a couple of years now and always passby brother shockers because it's so close to my house. so, i finally gave it a try. the softshell crab was incredible and theatmospherewas very friendly. they also have a great beer selection. it's also very reasonably priced. i will definitely be back.

love it!!!!. so someone had the right idea!!! keep it simple, keep it fresh....and keep it clean!!! now, as a foody...i know. way to go! 5 stars all the way...the menu, prices, freshness andatmospherewill keep me coming back!!! i enjoyed all the dishes and cant wait to go back for more!! now i have a reason to go out! thank you!!
