bristol seafood grill

this place is great. bristol is on our must-dine list every time we visit kansas city. the interior is beautiful and the staff is excellent. my so looks forward to the lobster bisque and is never been disappointed. the food is consistently delicious.

awesome sunday brunch. this is my favorite place for sunday brunch. you gotta try the lobster mac and cheese, best in the city. i like this one better than the one in leawood. also, it's walking distance from convention hotels, there's a great movie theater across the street, and it's not too far from great shopping in country club plaza. if you're headed to the plaza, take a cab.

birthday dinner. took advantage of a birthday promtion for dinner. i had the halibut and my wife scallops. everything was perfect. the only downside was the carrot cake, which is our favorite. it tasted stale and seemed like it just came out of the cooler. otherwise, will be back again!

this was the worst meal not only the seafood was horrible the cesear salad was worse than a bag salad. we were seated by where the servers pick up their orders so there was non stop traffic by our table it was so cold in there be sure to wear a heavy coat. even walking into the restaurant had an odor of old fish. that should have been the first clue this was going to be bad. i'd never go there again.

excellent food and atmosphere. love bristol seafood - both locations. the one in ofallon is close and up to par; a favorite place to take people for birthdays, lunch dates, lovely dinner. the menu is interesting and i have never had a bad dish. however, if you had a problem they would take care of it immediately. excellent service; top quality food.

the bristol in the power and light district has a happy hour that is budget-friendly and has outstanding food. with a broad selection of $4, $5 and $6 appetizers, you can have a drink and eat well for under $20, which at the bristol is no small feat. we s

an excellent evening of sumptuous seafood, with excellent service from will. the seafood mix grill platter was superb and best part was crab cakes. great ambience and lively joint hustling with people on perfect friday evening.

we absolutely loved this place. my son had the spicy tuna sushi rolls for an appetizer and said they were fabulous. my mixed greens salad was good. my filet combo dinner with a crab cake and risotto was incredible! my son loved his chicken and pasta entree and the chocolate lava cake. great service. would definitely come here again!

sumptuous seafood awaits

our recent trip to kansas city had us being wined and dined by our hosts. the first night was down in the power & light district at bristol seafood grill. let’s just say executive chef travis napier, pulls it all together with a sumptuous seafood selection. our table dined on blue point oysters, seared sea scallops, roasted duck flatbread & shellfish bouillabaisse. the place was humming, the staff ever so friendly and the food simply mouth-watering. in the mood for seafood, make a b-line for this hot, cool dining venue.

the good:
the lobster bisque was amazing. their specialty drink was presented beautifully. the ambience was very pretty. service was attentive with everyone except our main server. when they had made a mistake with our reservation they very quickly corrected it and got us a table.

the bad:
primary server was very slow and a bit rude. she brought the wrong specialty drink and when i pointed it out politely she argued with me. she brought lemon. i ordered cranberry. she was sure the cranberry was infused in the back. when i pointed out my drink had limes not lemon she again argued with me but agreed to check. i read the description right off the menu. sure enough to no surprise i had the wrong drink. this took over thirty minutes to get corrected.
my steak while cooked a perfect medium was served warm along with everything else. the steak and the scallops lacked any flavor at all. it was a good cut of beef but i do like a well seasoned meal and this was just bland. i tasted one of my dining companions pretzel coated trout and again cool and bland. given the price point of this place the food should be top notch. it was really unremarkable as a whole.
if the pricing were about half what it is i would say go, but there are much better fine dining establishments in kc to go to.
additionally while the ambience was very pretty with dim lighting and a beautiful fireplace it was very noisy. we were tucked away in a corner and still had to talk loudly to hear each other.
id return for a drink in the bar but not likely to be back for dinner.

i enjoy bristol every time. the ambiance is amazing, service is great, but i just didn't care for the fish and chips on my last visit. very bland fish, and fries had zero flavor and weren't very salty. and the dish was extremely overpriced.

we spent the weekend in kansas city and bristols was a great place to eat. a lot of restaurants appear to be fine dining but hooray for places like this that truly are! our waiter was excellent and gave us some wonderful recommendations. i had the grilled seafood platter which was everything he promised! we're going back!

i came here for the valentines dinner.. i was hopeful of an excellent dinner but my entree was not tasteful. unfortunately my lobster tail was extremely dry and unsatisfying, while my filet was completely tasteless... it's extremely doubtful that i will frequent this establishment.. but i will say that my boyfriends lobster mac n cheese was delicious along with the crab cake!!
