holy shellfish this is good!. this was my first time ever going to bristol and i must say, it was pretty darn good. i went for my birthday with six other relatives, as soon as we walked in the hostess was very sincere and we were seated right away. the setting was nice all around, there was a nice fireplace, lights were slightly dim to give the restaurant a fancier outlook, bar looked elegant, and all the workers looked at their best. the service here was wonderful, our servers always attended our every need, we would not even have to ask for pepper because they were already right next to us with it. also the servers acted in the most respected manner which is always a plus in my book.
since this is a seafood grill, the menu consisted of mostly seafood and two choices of premium steaks. we started off with the steamed little neck clams for an appetizer, which had garlic, butter and white wine sauce. the clams were eaten up quite fast because they were so tasty. for my entree i ordered the shellfish bouillabaisse which consisted of clams, mussels, lobster, shrimp, scallops, calamari, tomato, fennel, saffron, along with a grilled bread. all the seafood in the dish tasted incredible and the added saffron made it even better. as for desserts everyone ordered the vanilla bean creme brulee. as soon as i took the first bite of the creme brulee it felt as if i floated into heaven. it was a smooth and silky custard, along with the caramelized sugar on top for that little bit of crunch. at the end of the meal the manager came by to wish me a happy birthday and asked if we were doing okay, of course we said yes.
bristol is an upscale seafood restaurant, the food can be pricey so i would suggest eating here for special events, that includes: birthdays, an anniversary, or any other special occasion. i found bristol to be an awesome experience and i would highly suggest that a person should definitely come here if your wanting the best seafood in town.
