small yet cozy restaurant located at church street. you need to be early to get a table here, brunch time would be ideal. the staff seemed a bit unwelcoming and didn't have patience to take order.

thecheesegarlic bread was fresh, cheesy and tasty. however it is thin, it would have been more filling if it was a bit more thick. i can probably finish two of them and still feel hungry.

the pizzas are an experience in themselves. the og pizza with pepperoni topping was very delicious. the bacon was crispy and not overly salty.

shrooms pizza was good however i feel the prosciutto comes in a bit too strong. so i'd recommend the veg version of this.

as i was in namma ooru for a short trip, i had decided to meet my friends - who are major foodies and food bloggers - for lunch on a sunny and jam packed saturday afternoon.  after giving them a list of my favorite cuisines, they suggested a few places for me to choose from.  we finally decided to visit brik oven on church street.  it is a very small place compared to their other outlets in the city.  the seating area yields about 6 tables and the kitchen - especially the wood fire oven - could be seen clearly from where we were seated.  there is no physical menu, but a qr code which we can scan on our mobile to see a list of the items.  my friends told me that the menu is not as vast as the one in their other outlets.

there is also a chalkboard on the wall where they write the list of the 'specials' for the day.  after browsing through the menu, we finally decided to order: -

beverages:

1.  brik oven lemonade - this beverage is their in house special.  the lemonade was sweet and perfect for the hot bengaluru weather.

2.  lemon iced tea - no matter where i go, my favorite beverage is iced tea. given a choice between soft drinks and iced tea, i would rather order the latter. the nice thing about this iced tea was that it was extremely sweet and did not need to add any extra sugar.  it was served in a tall glass, so the quantity was perfect for my tastebuds.

3.  the hangover shake - the name says it all!  once you drink this, you will feel like you are intoxicated because the shake is so filling.  the list of ingredients will make you feel dizzy.  it contained granola, banana, strawberries, ice cream and whipped cream.  this shake would be better off as a dessert than as a beverage.  my friend said it was a tall glass of sweetness overloaded.

appetizer:

1.  garlic bread withcheesecheeseis an ingredient we all love, so what better appetizer to order than two plates of the ooey gooey goodness.  actually, it looked more like breadsticks than bread.  one portion is sufficient for two people.  the breadsticks were neatly arranged on a wooden tray.  the right proportion of olive oil, garlic, butter andcheesemade this dish an extremely delicious one.  it was so soft that the pieces just melted in our mouth.

main course:

1.  anna goes vegan - as my friend and i are vegetarians, we ordered this particular pizza.  just by reading the description, my mouth started to water.  the toppings included:  san marzano sauce, red onions, red bell peppers, jalapeno, vegan mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, garlic and vegan feta.  i have never tried a vegan pizza before but must say it was flavorsome.  the base was not too thin nor thick, the toppings were crispy and fresh and the vegan feta was dripping here and there since it was so bubbly.  i would definitely recommend this pizza.

2.  smoked chicken - n - mushroom pizza - out of the three of us, only one was a non vegetarian, so he ordered one pizza just for himself.  the remaining pieces were packed so he could enjoy it after going home.  this pizza comprised of smoked chicken, roasted mushrooms, caramelised onion, red chilli garlic and basil with a tomato sauce base topped with mozzarella.  the smokey flavor was circulating all around us.   just like in the vegan pizza, the toppings in this one were also garden fresh and crunchy.

my friends have eaten in brik oven's outlets before, so they were aware of the quality and quantity of the food.  the ambiance was pleasant and the service was quick in spite of all tables being occupied.

speaking about tables, i wish they were a little bigger because if you order a lot of items, it is difficult to arrange them, the plates and glasses.

the only negative point of the afternoon was that of the manager's behavior.  as my friends are food bloggers, they were keen on taking photos of all the dishes.  however when the manager saw this, he told my friend, in a very rude tone, to sit down.  never ever have i seen this type of attitude by a manager when their customers are actually trying to promote their business.   we felt extremely insulted but somehow managed to enjoy our meal as the food looked so yummy and we were equally hungry.

if you are heading on church street and feel like gorging on wood fire pizzas, then do drop into brik oven for a wholesome and appetizing meal with your friends and loved ones.

heard a lot about food at brik oven and hence visited their church street outlet for a weekend lunch with friends.

though the outlet is small and compact, the ambience is good and food was awesome.

we ordered:
✓ smoked chicken & mushroom pizza
✓ anna goes vegan pizza
cheesegarlic bread
✓ hangover monster
✓ brik oven lemonade
✓ iced tea

both the pizzas came with generous toppings. the surprising part was that the pizza base was too soft that we had to hold with both hands to have the toppings and pizza slice together.

loved the brik oven lemonade such that felt like reordering it. hangover monster was great but slightly heavy on stomach due to mix of fruits. iced tea was also nice.

overall had a good experience, could have been great had the manager behaved properly. i, being a food blogger, was taking pictures of the food (without disturbing others) to promote it on my food page even though i was paying for the food (they could have got free promotion) but he rudely asked me to sit down and stop.

would suggest everyone to skip this outlet as ours is not the only case. similar complaint about the manager had happened with others too. check other dining reviews of this outlet.

if you like the peculiar taste of goatcheeseyou must try this big piece. the other good thing for this is that unlike other meltingcheesethe goatcheesehas a texture of creamcheeseso you won't get disappointed that much when it gets cold. i totally feel satisfied with the amount of mushrooms and prosciutto they pit on the pizza. fresh flavor of arugula makes the pizza flawless. do try.

great service. we went for half and half although they will charge you for the one with higher price 😝 best pizza in town. go go go. a must visit. also, to add the pizza that they serve is mixture of both maida and atta which is i guess brownie points for all the fitness freaks and patients maybe. saare type kecheesemil jaayenge waise 😝 whether it's mozzarella or goatcheeseor bluecheeseor cottage cheese. my fav kind at this place has been blue cheese. also, must go for diavola pizza. but the lemonade was too sour. so had to ask for sugar. also, you won't get jaggery in place of sugar.

one of my all time favourite restaurants, their salads are mind blowing!! the vinaigrette salad with chicken- even someone who doesn’t like salad would instantly change their mind (sometimes you need to ask for a drizzle of extra dressing). high quality ingredients at amazing prices and great portions as well. this is the best pizza you’ll ever have. the mushroom with truffle oil & the fourcheesepizza are great options for vegetarians, and the non vegetarians - the chorizo with arugula, the pepperoni, the “mad cow”, and a few others.
even their dark chocolate & raspberry dessert is mind blowing (yes, i go here a lot 😂). damn, i’m hungry now

been here last night for dinner and ordered big bank shake ,cheesegarlic bread and margaerita pizza. just perfect it was. taste , quality and service was top notch. but pricey for the portion size and 10% service charge was a tad shocking. but overall worth the hype. seating is poor and inadequate though.

i don't get the hype about this place? we orderedcheesegarlic bread and a margherita pizza. the garlic bread was so bland. me and my friend were trying to find ways to make it taste better by adding chilli flakes, seasoning, ketchup, but nothing worked.
pizza was okay, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone. it was paper thin, sort of bland too.
i had been wanting to visit brik oven because of all the good reviews and hype but i was utterly disappointed.

i ordered from swiggy but came here to leave a review, this place is not the amazing pizzeria it used to be.. first of all thecheeseis not what it once was but i came to terms with that as i still like the neopolitan style pizza. today i specificay mentioned to add extra tomato/pizza sauce on the pizza and it came with even less than usual, it's almost like they went out of their way to make it the opposite of what i asked for.. this place keeps dissapointing and i always want to give it another chance thinking it may go back to the old days but never again. you guys have forgotten what made you great and have started cutting costs oncheeseand sauce to save yourselves more money.

craving for some delicious pizza one sunday afternoon led us to brik oven. due to covid 19 restrictions, dine in option was not available, so we opted for take out.

we ordered "the anna" along with the garlic bread with cheese. 10 or 15 minutes later we had a fresh, hot pizza in front of us. the pizza was easily one of the best i have ever had, super flavourful dough with a slight chewy texture. good amount ofcheeseand toppings as well, which leaves little room for any complaints.

will definitely be back to try the other pizza on offer. a 100% definite must try pizza wherever you are in bangalore!
