loved the brick alley pub. based on a friend's recommendation my girlfriend and i tried the brick alley pub during a trip to newport. everything was fantastic! it was restaurant week while we were there so that meant they were offering a 3 course lunch for $16. we both took advantage of that great deal. we both started with a cup of their clam chowder which kicked major ass. my girlfriend followed that with their lobster mac n' cheese, also great and the portion was huge and stuffed with large pieces of buttery lobster. i had the blue cheese bacon burger, also large and also delicious. my only complaint about the burger was that the blue cheese was far too mild, it almost tasted like cheddar. if i order a blue cheese burger i want some stank to that blue cheese! for dessert i went with the mango sorbet which i loved, and my girlfriend topped her meal off with a cappuccino.
the service was attentive, friendly, and never rushed despite a packed house and a door way full of patrons. one heads up, we went for lunch around 2:00 and at that time there was still a 30 min to 1 hour wait. it seems like thisplaceis packed all day long and for good reason.
