went inside thinking that this would be one of those overhyped places but it didn’t disappoint even a bit.
a proper brunch place this as the sandwiches were quite filling. thetasteand flavours were different from anywhere else. summertime tartine was quite a surprise.
the desserts were also great.
also, there’s ample parking space available just opposite to the cafe.
the only downside is that a few items on the menu were unavailable and there’s a queue to place your order.
the menu here needs to be updated though.
must try : bombay sandwich, mushroom quiche, apple tart

amazing awsum authentic organic are words to describe this place....really good food with greattasteserved and prepared in their own style.
love the vibes here....slightly overpriced but worth to give a shot.

perfect place for a breakfast. take a ride to auroville and you will find this amazing eatery. from ambience to hospitality and food, everything was excellent.

i got a chance totastetheir chocolate tart loaded with cocoa and walnut. it was too yummy and perfect. i then ordered a bananarama which was basically a sour dough bread loaded with banana slices and served with a bowl of honey.

their croissants are to die for. they are in high demand and i would highly recommend you to step in early totastethem. we had a plain croissant and it was yummilicious.

if you take a ride through auroville, never miss this place. will be visiting them again for sure.

this place is a must visit if you are in pondicherry for a yummy breakfast. i got to know about this place from a youtube travel video and the first thing i wanted to visit was bread & chocolate.the ambience is amazing,we ordered a tropical smoothie bowl and thetasteis still lingering.it was something i never had before and would love to have it everyday. i wish to visit pondicherry only to eat the smoothie bowl.the staff here is very friendly loved interacting with them.the menu has a wonderful options to suit your tastes.bread & chocolate rocks!!!

on your way to auroville, stop by this pretty little cafe which serves some delicious bakes, sandwiches and coffee!
i ordered -
cold coffee - made with coconut milk, it tastes a bit different initially, but you'll start liking thetasteafter 2-3 sips.
chilled and strong, this is the perfect drink to beat the pondy heat! also they serve it with a steel straw which makes it all the more interesting.

the green thumb focaccia sandwich - freshly baked focaccia and my favorite greens toasted together with a caramelized onion, peppers and pickle salad on the side. absolutely delicious... this is a meal in itself!

giant chocolate chip cookie - this was the show stopper. this giant, gooey, melt in mouth chocolate chip cookie with a sprinkle of sea salt took my heart away! a must try ❤️

it's closed on monday but their store with limited take away options is open.
please make sure to call every cafe before to go as every place has different weekly off.
so we went again on wednesday and i must say this is the only place that lives upto the hype.

we ordered
quiche, chill out chocolate, summertime tartine.
their shakes and smoothies are vegan and made with coconut milk so have a distinctivetastebut the shake was great and not overly sweet which is quite normal with chocolate shakes.
the quiche flaky and beautiful.
tartine with well done eggs and everything else. i feel their serving plates for dishes like tartine are small and there's no space to move even one item so it becomes bit of a struggle.
don't have plastic(which is good) or paper straw and they give steel ones which i am not too sure about knowing it's the pandemic time.
the service was slow and it took them good 40-50 mins to get our order but we were informed while ordering and we agreed so now complaints at all.
it's got a good open seating and the tables are placed at good distance.

would i recommend this cafe, yes definitely.

we went on monday not knowing it's closed. but there is their store which has few good options. took many goodies and parcel from them and had outside the store. loved thetasteand the items were all very fresh

this is the best place for vegan food in pondicherry. there are many dishes that may nottastethe way you expect, but they're super healthy and you should grow into it. the place gets too crowded and honestly a tad bit over hyped. the food was good, we tried a hummus dish and chocochip cookie. we also ordered a breakfast platter which was great! the pastries are definitely amazing! they make the drinks with coconut milk so beware.

a cool, hip place to hangout and have a decent snack or meal with friends. the seating area is comprised of a shared lawn between the cafe and the adjacent boutiques as well as a few tables indoors.
the service is good and there are plenty of baked options to chose from. the summertime tartine and the green smoothie isn't something i would normally try, but they did impress me withtasteand texture.
recommended for a chilled break from a busy schedule.

visited auroville’s bread & chocolate. the route, the location, the ambiance is awesome. the foods offered are truly crafted with such finesse. the menu is unique and it is perfectly matched with the quality produced in thetasteand the presentation. a very positive first visit and will come back for more soon.

i’ve bookmarked this cafe for nearly a year.
finally got to come here for a lovely breakfast with my family.
a must try breakfast place for those who enjoy comfort food and healthy options. (vegan options are available as well).
what i ordered :
1) chocolate chip gluten free pancakes (a must try)
2) bear’s breakfast toast
3) pancakes (a must try)
4) affogatto
5) french press coffee (a must try)
6) hot chocolate (a must try)
7) chocolate cake (a must try)

breakfast dishes :
1) bear’s breakfast toast - comprises of 2 slices of sourdough bread with sweet ricotta cheese and honey. the combination of the ricotta cheese and honey was excellent. the sweetness of the honey and the hint of sweet ‘n sourtastein the ricotta cheese worked really well together. the ricotta cheese was really nice and soft.
2) chocolate gluten free pancakes - comprises a single fat pancake with chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, slices of banana and pomegranate. this is one of the best pancakes i’ve ever had. it was not overly bitter or sweet. the fruits and the chocolate sauce with the pancake had the perfect balance of flavours and sweetness.
3) gluten free pancakes - comprises of two pancakes with cashew cream, maple syrup, slices of banana and pomegranate. the pancakes were nice and soft. loved every bite of it.

the drinks :
1) affogato - this comprises of black coffee and a scoop of vegan chocolate ice cream. the coffee flavour was nice and strong. it was perfect with the ice cream. however the vegan chocolate ice cream was a little bitter for me so i had to add extra sugar to it. nevertheless, i enjoyed having it.
2) french pressed coffee - this was something recommended by everyone to try. it’s a variety of black coffee. for those who enjoy super strong coffee and like thetasteof black coffee will definitely enjoy this. it was strong and the best part was it did not have much bitterness to it.
3) hot chocolate - this was really good as well. it wasn’t overpowering. it had some chocolate shavings on the top, making it really appealing when it reached our breakfast table.

dessert - the chocolate cake here is amazing. the cake was super soft and moist. it had a nice chocolate frosting on top and a praline filling making this cake an absolute delight. this cake is a never miss.

also do checkout the bakery for their amazing pastries and sandwiches. looking at the wonderful options, bought some bakery food items to binge on.

the ambience was really nice. it has a nice and calm feeling to it. since it was raining today, it was nice to sit outside and eat. hot coffee, comfort food and good weather can never go wrong.

the service here is really good and hassle free. the staff were courteous. they got the food on time with no delays.

quite a nice place with good flavoursome food. it gets a little crowded too soon so reserving seats for a large group is a task. preparation takes quite a while and they do go out of stock quite often- something that should be looked into. if you have atastebud for european cuisine, this is the place though. i also liked the fact that the facility is primarily run by females. more power to them.

if you are in pondicherry, you shouldn't lose this opportunity to grabbing some fine breakfast or lunch menu. it has the most exclusive menu i have had. the smoothie bowl was amazing, i wish i can get the same in bengaluru. try their cookies as well. loved the place. i tried turmeric and ginger spiritizer, so i will not recommend you try that as the it has very strongtasteof ginger which was unexpected. :( apart from this everything was amazing. glad i didn't miss this

i was suggested this place by a friend and every bit of it was worth the hype .ambience was great but you may have to wait to get a seat as travellers and locals flock totastethe delicious french cuisine.food is great,they offer wide variety of options for lunch and breakfast.especially focaccia bread and strawberry croissant was amazing.price is very reasonable.

recently we visited puducherry and before heading out we did some research and found out this place which is located in auroville.
we were thrilled to checkout the place and it did not disappoint us. it has an outside as well as inside seating with plants kept all around the place. 
things we ordered -

1. french press and lattè - this was like usual good coffee that we ordered.

2. orange cake -this was an amazing cake with a just the right amount of orange flavour in it. it was topped with slices of orange zest which gave it an extra kick. although it looked heavy but it was pretty soft and light. something we would recommend to order.

3. chocolate cookie - this was like a choco lava cake but with a cookie crust. it was completely filled with chocolate in each bite. not too sweet and perfect to go with coffee.

4. summertime tartine - this was a combination of their homemade sourdough bread, poached eggs, sun-dried tomatoes, beetroot salad and white butter. the presentation of the dish was beautiful and thetastewas amazing, something different from a regular sandwich. sufficient portion for one person. recommended to order upon visit.

5. mushroom sandwich - this sandwich was served with a side of tomatoes and onion salad. it also had a garlic yogurt sauce to go with it. it was completely filled with mushroom filling and again sufficient portion for a single person.

overall it was a delight to us. the only minus point with this place is it shuts down very early, like by 5 pm. there might be some reason for it but we would want to visit such a place even beyond 5 pm.
