simplicity at its best. omg today was just so so awesome. idlivadaand coffee that's all you need to reach heaven and back 😂.

this outlet proves why legends are legends. just 5-6 items on menu and que of 10-15 people at billing and another 50-60 standing outside releshing the taste of awsomeeeeeeee food.

loved it to the core.vadawas crisp like sashi tharoor english and idli was soft like alia bhatt moves and coffee as authentic as old delhi's streets.

worth visiting, will recommend to everyone.

a small eatery tucked in the by lanes of basvangudi... no seating / ambiance but u wudn mind any of that...

by far the best idli /vadai hav had... served with their authentic chutney...

u may at first feel disappointed that they do not serve sambar & have no dosas etc...

but once u hav had the first bite... u do not complain further...

khara bhath / kesari bhath equally gud...

their signature filter coffee is a must must try...

service cudn get quicker... they wud give any fast food giant a run for their money... no jokes

overall a grt grt experience :)

• smile because it's hot •

i guess the only place i know, which has minimum items on its menu but gathers an eager crowd and praises like none other. being a lazy bum, i would happily wake up at 5am and ride down 16kms to just eat that piping hot idlivadaand chutney.

the feeling when you finally walk to the standing table, with that plate holding the gorgeously soft idli and that perfectly brown vada; both submerged in that perfect blend of liquidy chutney. ahh! i have come here almost 100+ times but always make the mistake of putting a steaming hot bite of all of these into my mouth and gasping for air!

always- how can you resist that temptations.

if that last paragraph made you drool a bit, it's time you visit this place. 😌

and it's making covid experience easier too as they are opeeeeeeeeen early in the morning for takeouts

wohoooo! grab that mask and a cloth cover with the empty boxes waiting to be filled up with those beautiful creations 🤩. enjoy!

finally, made it to brahmins coffee bar for breakfast after hearing about all the hype associated around it for years.

the place is a beehive of activity but they seem to have sorted out their operations quite well. the queues though a little lengthy, moves quickly and the order is fulfilled in a jiffy. the place is sufficiently staffed to meet the needs of the large crowd. since the demand is high, the speed with which they prepare the food and get it ready is commendable which also ensures that the customer gets served hot and fresh food.

this place has just 5 items of which we had the idly (average),vada(good but a little too crispy for my liking), khara bath (very good) and the filter coffee (good strong coffee). missed out on the kesari bath. they serve idly-vada with chutney and no sambar typical of the vintage idly-vada eateries in bengaluru. the chutney is just about ok.

since there is no place to sit, one needs to either stand and eat or take their plates to the car and eat at thier comfort.

giving this place 4/5 because i was expecting a bit more based on the hype that has been created around it.

this place has the old bengaluru nostalgia associated with it and is definitely worth visiting!

request the restaurant not to pack chutney along with idli andvadaopenly without any packing as it will become wet andvadawill loose it's crispness ..chutney can be packed separately and given. anyway you are sending one packet of extra chutney in

ambience 🛋🖼
well, it’s tough to identify ad the board that says brahmin coffee is kinde faded and half wiped out. but if you are a bangalorean, you will know it from the far end of the street itself. if not, there is google maps anyways :p

as this is one of the quick and go breakfast places, there are no chairs of sorts. just steel tables outside bordering the restaurant.

what’s up for grabs 🍽🥢
- idli &vadacombo, the idli is super soft andvadais super crunchy. both these floating in a plate of yummy chutney. if you require extra chutney, you can always get it at the entrance of the restaurant.

- kesari bath, it’s piping hot and it’s slightly on the sweeter side but it could be easily finished by one person.

- coffee, a must have after this super breakfast.

service 🤵🏻
all are self serviced. and there are staffs that continuously removes the plates from the tables so there is space to stand and eat.

one of the iconic restaurants in bangalore which is serving the tasty and authentic breakfast since a few decades.

i had visited this place twice. the recent one was with my friend. i had a very good experience both the times.

it's a very small restaurant with very limited tables to have food. most of the people consume food while having plates in their hands.

we ordered idly, vada, khara bath, kesari bath and filter coffee. khara bath is one of my favourites here.vadawas very crispy and tasty. idly and kesari bath were good. one of the main usp of the hotel is their chutney. unlike most of other restaurants which serve both sambar and chutney, this restaurant serves only chutney. since i don't consume coffee i can't comment about it, but my friend said that it was authentic.

since it is self-serve, there is nothing to describe about the service. prices are economical considering the quality of food they serve.

i would recommend this place to each and every south indian who visit bangalore and i would recommend them to definitely try khara bath andvadaat least.

hygiene - 4.5/5
taste - 4.5/5
ambience - 3/5
price - 4/5

overall experience - 4/5

they have 4 menu items, idlivadakharabhath tea and coffee and another item i forgot. they dint serve dosa. if you are around that area u can hv a quick breakfast. there are a lot of monkeys in that area specially on top of this place, so be careful of your belongings. the quality of food is good. however the price is higher.
