box burger

absolutely love box burger great spot for some casual dinning. i shamefully haven't actually tried any of the burgers myself but i've heard they are great off people that i have been there with. i've had both the pulled beef and chicken nachos. both were lovely and they aren't sparse on the toppings with is great. i've also tried the chicken taco which was delicious even though i got a few stares from the chefs for adding guacamole to it! the dirty fries and box fries are really tasty and are something a bit different to just the regular chips you would normally get to accompany your meal.

there is old style cocktails on the menu as well as some creative new additions all of which i have tasted have been amazing. as far as i know most weekends if not all they have a dj in the bar area. it's always buzzing and is a great place to go for food and a cocktail before heading out for the night down the seafront.

sister restaurant to the very popular platform pizza which is right next door. you can get a cocktail at the bar in box burger while you are waiting on table to be ready in platform and bring it in with you when it is ready which is handy.

popped in here over the weekend because i had heard great things! the detail that went into the restaurant itself is amazing. from the little stickers on every roll of toilet paper, to the mini burger jellies when you get the bill.. everything was so clearly thought out and it really pays off.

i got the cheese burger and shared fries and coleslaw. i'm sad to say, the burger didn't overwhelm me, the meat was a bit hard to cut through - not quite melt in your mouth standard. but the brioche bun and the speciality sauce were delicious. the fries were good also, and the coleslaw was divine - so fresh!

i would definitely come back to box burger if i was in bray more often, but i think the next time i'm back i'll have to give platform pizza a try instead!

just off the dart, we spotted this place directly opposite the beach.

we decided to try it and boy was it a pleasent experience.

they had a variety of foods, and being vegetarian, they had many burger options which was to my surprise.

the atmosphere inside was great, playing tunes fitting for the experience.

had the veg burger, while my friends tried the mac n cheese burger and the smokey burger. all good choices.

the bar was stocked and had the locally made beers showing good support for their county.

the waiter was kind and kept in touch with our needs at adequate times during our lunch.

all in all. a good good experience and highly recommended.

the best burgers in ireland. with the mexican one they even serve a small margarita. the sweet potato fries are very delicious. finally congratulations for the huge offer of laggers and gins. 🍻

the burgers are always lovely and the staff are friendly and the ambience is mysterious and trendy however it is rather pricey and you could defiantly split the chips and maybe walk the beach to finish to get dessert but all in all i will visit this establishment again

never lets me down - come here regularly for the burgers probably the best in dublin! nachos and fries are also phenomenal bar list compliments menu perfectly! top marks!!

excellent. food is spot on, great selection of beers, great location. staff were excellent, all were very friendly and attentive. both interior and exterior seating areas are really well done, nice laid back vibe about the place. used to live in melbourne and this place made me feel like i'd been transported back there again. without doubt my favourite restaurant i've been to since i moved back to ireland.

this place is a poor cousin of the platform pizza next door. the place looks good, and the staff are nice, but the food is average.

simply put... this place is excellent! one of the best burgers around, great service, the staff are really good & friendly, nothing is ever a bother and it's such good value for money. we love going here, have brought lots of visiting friends and they all rave about it.

been to box burger a few times now and i have to say i've no complaints really nice burgers and great service. they have god variety on the menu too i went with my friend one of the days and she tried the ribs and really enjoyed them definitely would go recommend this place to a friend !

the mexican burger is good although it comes with a cocktail as a deal. and it wasn't great. but i've heard the drinks from the cocktail list are suppose to be amazing. they do yummy sweet potato fries. good atmosphere friendly staff. wasn't a fan on the nachos they usual that cheap cheese that tastes like plastic

burgers. who doesn’t love a burger. i know i love them. they go with lunch, they go with dinner and they most certainly go with 3a.m. after one or two (too many) pints. on a more sober note however, i had the pleasure of visiting. it’s a large space with a mix of seating options which include some comfortable booths that have their own speakers over the table. you can connect your phone directly to it and play whatever music you like, and charge your phone the same time. practical and genius. to kick of proceedings our table had a variety of nachos (€9.50). vegetarian, beef and chicken piled high with tomato, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, chillies and cheese sauce. a meal in themselves and if you are going with the added beef or chicken i’d say share them for a starter.

along with the nachos we shared some sweet potato fries (€4.50) which were divine i have to say and a decent portion size too. there was also a portion of box fries (€4.50) which were served with onion, chicken gravy and cheese. now you may roll your eyes at that description but dear god they were filthy good. alas i didn’t get a picture of them. they also serve wicked wolf so of course some pints were had.

now onto the burgers. they are very reasonably priced at between €8.50 & €9.50 and for €3 extra you can add fries or salad or coleslaw or onion rings. basically box burger have a burger to suit every taste. cheese, chilli, mexican, steak and egg, spinach and fish to name but a few.

they do say a picture tells a thousand words and you will be able to see from my snaps how the burgers were served. each burger is a 6oz pattie in a steamed brioche bun with standard toppings of lettuce, onion, pickle, mayo and mustard. you can of course omit any of these and have it to your own taste. they were full of meaty flavour had a wonderful caramelised charring and damn they were good.

we opted to cut some of them in half and try a bit of everything. while they were all good, my two favourites were the steak and egg and the bacon and cheese. as with the nachos the burgers are quite filling and i only managed to stuff about two of them into me. i did however take one to go in a little burger box in case i got hungry on the train. box burger is certainly worth a visit. it has a great vibe, serves beers and cocktails and was absolutely jam packed mid week (always a good sign). if burgers are not really your thing, they have you covered with their sister restaurant platform pizza which is right next door.

this is my number one burger place ever!!! the food, setting, cocktails, service and atmosphere is all amazing! i went on a saturday night so it was really a busy place with a great atmosphere for a saturday night! i enjoyed the mexican burger which comes with a mini margarita!! the quality and flavour of food is lovely and there is a great selection on the menu as well as the cocktails menu! i can't recommend this place more and if you are in bray it's a must!!!

i was here as part of a zomato meet up and oh. my. god. we started off with a cocktail at the bar, i went for a bray bré (loved the name, we all repeat the dart voice...) it was perfect, not too sweet (which i find with most cocktails). then on to a few starters, every variation of nachos possible (kudos on the guacamole!) followed by some of the most incredible burgers i've tasted, i went for the classic cheese and eyed everyone's else burgers too but unfortunately, was much too full to try. definitely not too full for dessert though... freshly made donuts with ice cream and chocolate sauce. heaven. definitely work a trip to bray. a walk on the beach followed by a burger. perfection.
