thegrouperpiece was large and yummy, and the fries were hand cut, salty, and very tasty as well.

amazing conch fritters, friedgrouperand fries with an ice cold beer. very much not fancy. it's a cash only shack and i will go again and again.

fun place to eat and great food. the place has a lot of character. the decor is fun to look at and you can leave your mark on the place by putting your name on the walls. there are also chickens everywhere which is really cool (not sure if sanitary, yolo). our table all had the friedgroupersandwich which was really great. the key lime mayo and the spicy sauce really complemented each other and made the sandwich awesome. we also had an order of rice and beans which were good too. overall, the food was really really good and went perfectly with a cold beer. i would come back and it's really worth it especially with the fun atmosphere. it is also a bit away from the cruise ship, so you don't get that much traffic in the restaurant which is nice.

was recommended to us for fun decor with tree growing out of the bed of a truck and thegroupersandwich...we found the teenaged/young adult staff nice and ordered the $13.95groupersandwich (no sides included). it was served hot on a fresh roll with tiny bit of mayo, some lettuce and tomato in plastic basket. it was very bland. absolutely nothing special about it. no special sauce, seasonings, nor even any salt or pepper that we could taste. kitschy beach bum decor with open to air seating was good vibe for the budget flip flop young crowd that was seated at the other 3 tables but, way over priced imho. with so many choices of great food...we are still confused as to why it is popular. walked across to pepes and had good house made key lime pie $10 with tip.

not so much. the famous friedgrouperwasn't anything special. the homemade conch fritters were really good. the breading was favorable w/ little conch in middle. order and sit down. open outdoors lunch spot. neat atmosphere- hole in the wall kind of place.

best place in key west. we were extremely impressed by this restaurant....so impressed that we went twice in 2 days! the food tastes as good as it smells. definitely stop by here if you are walking by or riding a bike. the friedgrouper& shrimp were both perfect.

good chow. sunday lunch time.
dg and i both got thegroupersandwich. slaw came with it. we got ours "all the way" and they were good. a little small on portions, but very good still. the limeade was very good.

don't let the outside scare you. went in with some friends looking for a quickgroupersandwich and boy was it good. a little expensive for a sandwich.

go there just to say you did...... okay, i will probably get slammed for this review, however, here it goes, i will like it because it is a neat place with cheeky decor, however, food is over rated and over priced, "famousgroupersandwich" is just average at best, but the fries were the highlight of the meal, hand cut and fried to perfection, conch fritters were the best we had in kw...go there just to say you have been there and ate that...

ok so the first 5 times i went by i only had a beer - the place looks like a shack and frankly, i didn't get it- huge mistake-it is thebest!!! i crave the blackenedgroupersandwhich - and the key lime mustard sauce is omg delicious - it did ruin me forever though as i can't eat this sandwhich anywhere else . don't let the "shack" fool you - this is the sort of place you want to eat - it's the real deal - not the over pretensious stuck up - hey someone has to pay for this big ugly no atmosphere joint- with it's 190% mark up on food - there are a few down on the boardwalk- so if you don't get the shack thing- it's ok - more for me -
