the fish ruben is outrageous and the key lime pie is awesome. casual dock side open air dining with great view of the marina.

we went there over other restaurants in the area (hidden treasure, inlet harbor) because it had a better approval percentage, but we weren't very impressed.

the calamari was very chewy and the breading wasn't crispy like it should have been. the side 'salad' that came with the meal had browned lettuce leaves in it and it looked like it had been put together a few days before and had been sitting in the fridge since then.

the fried seafood platter was a large portion, which was nice for the price, and everything was fried perfectly except for the fried oysters.

i suppose i would go back to boondocks in the future, but it wouldn't be my first choice for dinner.

if you are looking for a delicious meal in a family atmosphere this is your place. situated right on the water this open air restaurant has great fish (try the garlic seared or blackened!!) & crab legs and top notch key lime pie. staff is friendly and helpful. this is where the locals eat but they won't tell you about. thank goodness for urbanspoon or we never would have found it. we will be back next year.

not impressed. given the standard of fine dining on the water that other ponce inlet restaurants maintain, and all the positive reviews, i had higher expectations for this place. the wait was over an hour, which was reasonable given the season. however, the wait staff were stretched to the max, unfriendly, and borderline inhospitable. the food was sub-par and very run-of-the-mill for a seafood restaurant. wait staff seemed more interested in serving bar customers than those in the dining area. an additional safety note, if you have small children, the rope railing around the edge of the water is not secure enough to catch little ones from falling.

awesome experience! nice view, ice cold beer, and good seafood! lived the crab cake bits and calamari! blackened mahi mahi sandwich was huge and delicious!!

loved it! we only had appetizers- calamari, coconut shrimp, krab poppers, and zappi di clam- but it was all good!! loved that our puppies could dine with us!

this place has awesome fish sandwiches and the service is great. great spot on the docks. highly recoommend.

food and service was great! lots of food for your buck, i would definitely come back again. the staff was also knowledgeable about gluten free eating and they have a "bible" with all their recipes and the ingredients, so helpful!!!

this place is great. in my opinion the best sea food in daytona. they have some of the best snow crab legs i've had. i definetly recommend boondocks.

tip: along with the seafood i always get the wings they are really good traditional buffalo wings - best in the area!
