expensive, over-priced and disappointing. went here for dinner on a sunday night. the place was packed with an hour wait. we grabbed a drink at the bar (also full, but we stood at the edge and had our drinks outside on the benches). they only have bud light on draft, everything else is bottles as far as beer is concerned. the actual bar drinks only have one type of rum and all beverages are served in plastic and styrofoam cups.
after waiting an hour, we got a table and got the garlic fried mahi and fried shrimp. everything came in plastic (bowls, plates, etc). my mahi was so fishy it overpowered the garlic on top, overcooked and i just couldn't finish. my fiancee's fried shrimp were exactly the same shrimp you'd get in the freezer section at publix. literally...
for $16.99 at a seafood restaurant (even though it isn't fine dining), i'd expect to get more than a few factory-frozen shrimp that were dunked in a deep fryer for a few minutes. i don't understand how this place so busy packed... the food was terrible, the prices were way too high and the ambiance wasn't really that good. it's on the intercostal, but you're sitting at a bunch of docks without a view and everything is falling apart.
we mentioned the quality of the food to the manager who admitted they don't actually bread or prepare their own shrimp and was kind enough to take it off the bill since she ate only one.
we will never be returning.
