food top notch - service hot and cold. the good servers at this bar are excellent, attentive and friendly and remember you even if it's long between visits.

thebackof the room servers, some are great, others look like they are the most depressed, sullen people in the world. i ordered a vegetarian sub and the waitress put down a pathetic roll with some lettuce, onions and tomatoes on it. how could you possibly pick up that plate in the kitchen and still serve it? would you want to eat this lame, small sandwich?

but this was an exception, not the rule. the service is mostly great as is the food.

they ran out of clams, our waiter was rushing, short, rude, and unattentive. i ordered the clam chowder, it was not white like clam chowder usually is. i ignored that fact. i tasted it, it was a little salty. as i had a couple of bites i could taste pork (i do not eat meat, just fish). i asked if there was pork in it, he said yes, bacon. i said clam chowder does not usually have any other type of meat in it. he says "look it up online, i'll gay tamed you'll find pork in any clam chowder" am i an idiot?!??

never goingbackthere again.

i usually love this place, but our last visit was disappointing. the glass was face down and stuck to the plastic table cloth. i asked for a fresh glass and was greeted with a dirty look. we waited way too long for water, too. my crab cakes were perfect with my crab cake salad, but there was a lot of brown/rusty lettuce in the salad. i mentioned it off the cuff and the waiter got snotty with me. he told my friend to "have a great night" and snubbed me. i guess this guy never heard of urban spoon. i may gobackbecause the food is usually very good. i just hope the staff has an attitude change.

i went to boomerang on saturday august 3. i'm from ottawa and love good food. anyhow, i had the french onion soup which is prepared the traditional way with american provalone then i actually ordeeed the special, shrimp and scallops en brioche served over a cajun cream sauce. i am 35 (okay 48) and i am an amateur cook, and i have rarely tasted something so good. the sauce carried a punch and complimented the sea food so beautifully. look the meal was hot and it was perfectly cooked and the presentation was so great, it actually looked like a soft shell crab.

this being said, i will gobackto boomerangs as often as i come to buffalo ... thanks to the owner tom for the hospitality and thanks to nikki, our server (funny as heck).

also, thanks to joanne, the bar keeper, drinks were affordable and strong.

fantastic. still fabulous. brought my family of four, including two vegetarians that were accommodated wonderfully. we ate like greedy kings with appetizers, drinks, entrees and the legendary desserts. all four of us for $115 with everything including two take-home boxes. fresh and delicious. great staff. you'll comebackagain and again.

went on monday night, didn't have service issue and waitress was great. had several friends who ordered various items off menu. buffalo shrimp was out of this world, a must have. all items had generous portions and were very reasonably priced. key lime pie was outstanding, as was chocolate and coconut lemon cake (forgot name). didn't care for apple pie though (needs some work). clams casino were a little salty but i'm no expert. stuffed bananna peppers were good (stuffed with ricotta cheese). gorgonzola pasta was rich but good. pork chops out of this world! ordered martinis from bar ... were mediocre but alright. atmosphere was definately west side, cozy like. vast menu of foods. you will definately need a doggy bag. would definately gobackagain. i would recommend to anyone whose looking for good food at a good price.

one of the best restaurants on the westside of buffalo!. this restaurant has chefs that definately (want you comingbackfor more).!...my favorites are cajun chicken wings, cajun shrimp, cajun fries..prime rib, black & blue steak, raspberry pork chops & the menu goes on. friendly service that makes us regulars feel like family! high class food at a low class price....people who have moved off the westside come back...just to enjoy the food and laidbackatmosphere!. .plenty of parking & handicapped accessible.....you won't leave this place hungry. friendly bartenders & a few new drinks that you've never had anywhere else....a place to enjoy!

stumbled upon this restaurant. very impressed with prices and. extensive. menu. food was great. however it took some time to be seated even though there were plenty of tables open. staff were great. would gobackonly when i have plenty of time.

leisurely? laidback?. i was one of a party of four at boomerang's on 06/02/11. the food was great, tasty, with substantial portions, outstanding appetizers, and the price was right. however, to say that the service was sloooowww would be an understatement, and the kitchen got three of the four dinner orders wrong: shrimp instead of chicken on one dish, no chicken or cheese on a second, gravy (not requested) on a third, and one dish returned to be corrected didn't comebackfor 15 minutes. will we return? perhaps on a day when more staff are on duty.

an off night? i hope so.. after waiting to be seated, our server was triple seated with three 2 tops, and all this is in addition to the other tables he already had. being in the business i immediately knew it wasn't going to be a good situation - and it wasn't. our server apologized a total of 3 times (taking so long to take our drink order, get our food order, and for the food taking so long) all before we even got our food. i appreciated him telling us the truth about the kitchen being backed up, but if it was you'd think he would have enough down time to keep his tables drinks full. there was no 2-bite check back, in fact he didn't comebackto check on us until we were just about done. my wife's fish was great, my chicken finger sandwich was one of the worst i've had (hard to screw them up too). there was another server who only had 1 table, but there was never much of a team effort. i believe our server was set up to fail - entirely a poorly managed situation. that restaurant is a great thing for the neighborhood, i wish them well. after that experience i left with a bad taste in my mouth. too many other restaurants on my list to visit before goingbackagain, the service made that an easy decision.
