good if you order carefully. we have found that their meats are often dry or gristly, so we stick with the vegetarian items. most are awfully mild for indian food, and way more expensive than rice and beans justifies.
the seating is marginal - either uncomfortable and tight-sided wooden chairs or straight-backed booths it's impossible to relax into. there's a large-screen tv with ballywood movies playing all the time it's hard to tune out, but the indian decor is pleasant.
service is poor and slow and you get the idea that the owner has told the waitstaff not to dally, as they're gone before you can even ask a question, although they stand around out of reach, so it's not like they're overworked. we've seen staff pretend not to see kids' spills and give us no assistance or even napkins to help. actually, we've decided this is not a kid-friendly place at all, since you can forget getting a return trip from your server, and with kids, you always need something else, even if it's just more napkins or an extra plate. also, don't get the idea you could always order a second basket of bread if one isn't enough. they won't even come back to see if you need it, and if you somehow manage to flag someone down, it won't come until all your other food is gone, even though you can watch the chef making it and it takes next to no time.
we have discovered, however, that we can have a very enjoyable date night dinner at an affordable price if we only get 2 bowls of the lentil soup (the best soup ever), one basket of roti bread and one of plain naan (hate the garlic naan - burned garlic, ick), and 2 masala iced teas. everything else has been an expensive mistake.
