unbelievable!!. my husband and i are avid bbqers and try it wherever we go. we've always eaten at pappy's numerous times each time we visit stl from ky to see the cards play, but bogart's has taken over that spot for me. best ribs and potato salad, hands down. don't quite understand the chips, really wish i hadn't wasted one of my sides on that :( beans were pretty good, but i still make 'em better ;) sauces are so-so but who needs it?? still like pappy's fried corn on the cob and brisket best.

bbq lover's paradise!. i recently moved back to st. louis and was looking for a good bbq/smokehouse. after seeing all of the very positive reviews for bogart's, i decided to give it a try. i drove from st. charles to the soulard area to pick up some ribs, and some pulled pork. i tried their potato salad, beans, and pickles. i ordered a to go order because i was short on time. when i arrived back in st. charles i found that my order was incorrect. i was very disappointed and contacted bogart's immediately. niki from their staff contacted me back and apologized for the incorrect order. they are usually very busy and as with any business, this stuff can happen once in a while. niki told me to come back in when i had time and they would make it up to me. they have more than made it up to me. i cannot praise their customer service enough! they were extremely gracious and took care of me. now on to the food. i have had their ribs, their pulled pork, their brisket, and their smoked turkey. all of the meats were excellent! their ribs had a nice smoke ring and were very tender. their turkey is the best i have ever tasted. i enjoyed their brisket (nice and tender) and their pulled pork. the standouts to me are their ribs and smoked turkey breast. side dishes that i would highly recommend are their potato salad, and beans. their potato salad tastes like a mix of grandma's and deviled eggs. extremely yummy and brings back that nostalgic feeling of summer and great bbq. the beans are phenomenal!!!! if allowed, i would eat them 4 times each and every day. they would compliment any meal but together with the tremendous bbq, they will send your taste-buds into orbit. they have a smokey, and meaty sweetness that is pure bean perfection. do not miss out. i would say that this is definitely the best bbq restaurant in st. louis and i will be a customer for life!

will had been told that the food here was really good.  they were closing in 30 minutes, so we decided to order the food to go.  i called in an order of the prime rib for myself & the brisket for my husband.  we weren’t really pleased with their choices of sides and opted for chips & potato salad reluctantly.  shortly, someone me back and let me know they didn’t have any prime rib left.  i settled for the brisket.  our food was ready when we got there.  we got it home and popped it open.  i ended up with pork grinds which i wasn’t going to eat if you paid me.  i like the potato salad well enough, but didn’t feel like it was a great compliment to the sandwich. will’s chips were pretty tasted as far as chips go. the brisket was okay, a bit soggy, but the bread was delicious.  overall, i don’t know that i’d go back to bogarts.  it was okay barbeque in a city full of amazing barbeque, which is unfortunate.  photo set photo set soulard’s restauran

great food great service. went there on saturday, 06/22/2013. thought we'd get there "early" and get a seat. got there around noon, and the line was out the door. a server came outside, and said that if anybody wanted to, they could go half a block down the street to a local pub. she said we could call in the order, and they would deliver it to us. we chose to that. called in our order, 10 minutes later had the best bbq ribs, brisket, and prime rib that i have ever tasted. cant forget the baked beans, they were amazing, and im not a baked bean eater. great place, will definitely be going back, even though its 3 hours away from home in so indiana.

best bbq ribs. i've eaten at several renowned bbq joints & this place has the best ribs anywhere! the seasoning is spot-on. the smoke is not too overpowering. the sauce, although good on its own, makes it a perfect combo.

the prime rib is a sand which, not the full cut of meat.

skip is the king!!. what can you say about the best bbq in st. louis that has not been said? i can tell you this. the owner is one of the nicest guys that ever worked in the business. he loves to talk bbq and food, and always insists you taste something he has special in the back. his ribs, brisket, pork and turkey are the best in this city. the apple wood never overpowers the flavor of the meat, and the sauces (for those who need them) are all very good. his prices are fair and the portions are plenty. continued success to one heck of a nice guy, and one hell of a bbq joint. good luck skipper!!

good bbq - limited dining space. we give the ribs, beans, and potato salad a big thumbs up. was first time to try to eat in, it was cold and seating is very limited. so, we had to take it home. it was good but a little dissappointed by the place. had take out for party on the 4th and everything was enjoyed by all.

the place to go for great bbq in st. louis. if i had to pick one bbq place in st. louis to recommend it would be bogart's. everything they serve is outstanding, but it's their ribs that set them apart. the ribs are so good that i can't order anything else anymore, because if i do, i leave wishing that i had gotten the ribs instead. the service is great, and you usually don't have to wait in line much longer than 5 or 10 minutes.

great bbq!. the staff here is some of the friendliest folks i've ever met. walked the line and gave out free wings, heard one guy give the next table over some free ribs because, he "didn't see any ribs on this table, and you got to try these ribs before you go!"

had the pulled pork sandwich - great bun, great smoky flavor, and even better with their vinegar sauce. got the coleslaw as a side, nothing too outstanding but good and good on the sandwich. other side was their potato salad-really good!

we have eaten a lot of bbq and this was one of the best! don't be turned off by the long line because it moves quickly. we had ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and all the sides but the chips. my 2-year old loved the cole slaw and the beans were especially good but a little spicy for the kiddos. all the sauces were great, i happened to like a combo of the voodoo and the pineapple express. eat there, you won't be disappointed!

so good! and this is coming from an alabamian!. we were looking for lunch and found this place on urbanspoon... the chef warned us on the way in that it would blow our minds, and ummm, he was right. the service was outstanding, starting with the bama fan who took our order. he recommended one of the big combos, so we could try a little of everything.... he said we had to have the ribs. i never eat ribs, but these were insanely good. perfectly seasoned and tender. my fave meat was the sliced prime rib. my group unanimously voted the baked beans as the fave side... my b/f's mom was ready to barter anything for the recipe. but everything was great... the pickles, deviled egg potato salad, coleslaw, all the different bbq sauces (the pineappe was my fave). my only complaint is that there was no beer... the only thing that would have made an amazing meal completely perfect!
