disappointing. in a nutshell - theservice/ attitude of the staff is poor.
the quality of the food/coffee is average.
the location is great.
this could be a really great little cafe/restaurant with just a few improvements. it's such a small little place that no-one really expects to be blown away by the quality of the food, but on the occasions i've been there i've felt like i'm imposing. the staff never smile and don't seem to have the ability to make customers welcome. it seems to be a common phenomena in most cafes situated on the water's edge of adelaide's seaside suburbs. almost like "we've got the location and that's all that matters."

tandoori pizza we just had was awesome. give it a go. new indoor & outdoor furniture too. theservicewas fine aswell. update. 2015. still a great place for a drink on the weekend. foods still ok too 👍🏻

great place for a feed or coffee. we had a coffee & sat outside, overlooking the water, watched the dolphins play.serviceis ok and getting better. give it a shot and relax. note if you don't want a main meal, ask for a roll or sango, it's not on the menu but they will make on. top place

so overall, the food gets a tick.servicewas ok – the problem with our reservation soured things a little and i did get the impression that there weren’t enough staff (or, the staff that were on were not experienced enough). however, the real killer was the noise inside.

when we walked in staff did not welcome us and were rude. we felt like a nuisance to them. i ordered the salt and pepper squid salad that was advertised to contain mango. the description did not say that the squid would be battered. i chose this meal because of the mango ingredient. the meal that arrived was not a salad, it was a large plate of very oily heavily battered squid with a some salad leaves that were not fresh on the side which would have been the size of a small fist. the salad contained no mango. i couldn't eat the meal, it was foul. theservicewas very slow and none of the staff were friendly or appeared to have any concern about whether we were enjoying our experience. they did not ask. i complained to the covid marshal on the day (sat 7th nov) and the solution that was offered was more of this disgusting meal to take home. extremely overpriced. i'm so disappointed.

the menu shown here is very out of date, also the prices. the food is good andservicefriendly. lovely location and views, but cafe itself is so noisy, impossible to have conversation. hard copy menu prices need to have prices updated, coffee is more expensive than stated but still good,

excellent food. beautiful view. friendly staff. they dont rush you and giveservicewith a smile. great 4 a long lunch with friends. a fave of ours.

food is delicious but every time we've been thereserviceis very lacking, too many bookings are taken and both the kitchen and wait staff can't handle the volume. we ordered coffee after finishing our meal which we waited ages for, we waited over 15 mins and the coffees never came so we walked out. very disappointed each time, the only good thing is the view and the food.

the prices are too high, inside/ outside dining area are too cramped, the food is very average and theservicecould improve. the location is nice however...

always a good place for breakfast, great location.servicecan be up and down, although since it's changed to ordering at the counter it's improved since you don't have to try to wave someone down in the busy times to take your order. best place to eat in hallett cove

breakfast was amazing.. i had the ham benedict. delicious! i also had a mixed fresh juice which was nice but $9 is a bit expensive for a little bottle!
theservicewas lovely. apart from the older lady who works in juice bar who was carrying sandwiches up the stairs was pretty rude. the only really bad thing is that little half door/gate thing!!! outside, we were sitting right next to it and it is so loud, everyone who opens it and goes out just slams it, and since it was a busy cafe there was people coming in and out every minute! so every minute trying to eat our breaky or trying to chat was disturbed by this massive bang! and it made me jump every time. they need to ban this entrance/exit. it's only like 2 meters extra to the main entrance people!

the view is amazing and we were excited as we wandered into this quaint little cafe for lunch. unfortunately theserviceand food did not match the quality of the location. my partner and i both had prawns with a mango salsa and asian salad. the prawns were battered and fried, the 'salsa' was just mango pieces and the salad had a dressing which wasn't very pleasant. got a takeaway coffee which was delicious but too hot to drink until we got home (30 mins). won't make the trip for a meal again, although it's probably a good stop for coffee and cake after a stroll on the boardwalk.

absolute gem! this is the best place to go for greatserviceand amazing food. no matter how busy they are they are willing to help with a smile. my husband and i both ordered pizzas. a chili prawn one and a margarita!! yummy!! for entree we had chicken wings and beef and lamb meatballs in tomato sauce. can't wait to come back.

lovely local spot. best local cafe we always enjoy coming down for a meal! pizzas are really yummy!serviceis fantastic, one of the girls has a great sense of humor and makes our visits enjoyable. grab a brownie on the way out!

great hidden gem in hallett cove. it's our local cafe and it always has great breakfasts!
my daughter and i visited this morning and we always get greatserviceand food. they made us both feel very welcome and fetch a high chair for the littlie and a toy :)
we didn't have to wait long to place an order or for our food. never had a bad plate of food from here, i especially love the turkish bread! yummo
great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. we had a small wait whilst paying but it's always busy so i never mind. oh and it's busy for a reason! because it's so good!

always great food, and made to feel very welcome. i went here today and it was just me and my 21 month old, as you can imagine doing anything with little people is hard but we try :) the staff made me feel very welcome and fetch a high chair and a toy for the little one. we didn't have to wait very long to order or receive our meals. it always seems to be busy and have a good buzz of people and not too noisy either. little one loved her pancakes and i had the boast shed classic which was very good. especially love the turkish bread!
overall great experience and good value for money too. i always feel more than satisfied with the portion sizes. no one leaves hungry :) keep up the great work guys :)

great location...... this place is amazing, great location overlooking the water, food is good but theservice(and have visited this cafe 3-4 times now) is always below average. the owner and staff are always grumpy and no smiles for their customers, the meals are thrown down and the wait is usually long even for coffees. get theserviceright and this place would be the best on the coast.
