let down by the food. this perfectlocationis entirely let down by the poor quality of food.

an interesting sounding menu, but poorly executed. we were not even half way through the entree when our mains arrived (also happened to at least four other tables around us). the seafood was all over cooked and drowned in way too much sauce. i can only hope that the head chef was away that day.

staff were great and the blood orange margarita was fanstastic.

found the boathouse on urbanspoon, while on a business trip. loved thelocationand enjoyed a nice walk on the beach after dinner. food was just ok. service wasn't great. i left something (a low cost, small trinket) i had purchased earlier that day, and they gave me a hard time about mailing it to me. wasn't impressed.

disappointment. boathouse at hendry's beach has a greatlocationand a nice enough restaurant but the food my partner and i had was both over priced and tasteless. both main dishes were fish (i think) and for appies i had the calamari which was ok but way too salty and he had crab which had obviously been frozen and was extremely watery. the bartenders were apparently very good and capable of keeping up with a crush at the bar and serving staff were ok. all in all not an experience i would like to repeat when there are so many other restaurants to eat out in in santa barbara.
