keeper. the kitchen was flexible as i asked for a meal size portion of their grilled veggies(so good) no problem. my girlfriend liked her crabcake sandwich. dad got smothered sandwich and loved it. fries are very good. big portions of everything, we were all too stuffed to try any deserts even to share! excellent. *good cheesebugers too cooked to order even med rare.

great dinner. service was good.... great cocktails and steak ... :d

this place is excellent! everyone at our table loved their food. i had the fresh catch of the day-tilapia with a white wine garlic cream sauce and a side of cheddar stone ground grits. the sauce was light and flavorful, the tilapia cooked perfectly, and the grits were fluffy and so tasty! next time i'm in savannah, i'll definitely be coming back here.

fish and chips, how can you go wrong. very tender flaky corn bread in in fresh oil. the crab cake sandwich had plenty of crab. sauce was the same as the dipping sauce for the fish and chips fresh garden toppings.

during our stay in savanah, we decided to eat at the boar's head grill and tavern. what a great place! located right on the river in an old warehouse. the stone walls and views of the river were a great atmosphere. my wife and i had to get the shrimp and grits. we also got a side of grilled vegetables that were well prepared. the kids went with stuffed shrimp and pasta. we started with a crab cake. everything was great. the crab cake was not as good as some i have eaten in maryland, but it was good in its own right. plenty of crab. the sauce for the shrimp in my plate was outstanding. the grits were good, but not as good as those i had at skillet. service was very good. prices reflected that we were in a touristy location. i would definitely come back - would love to try this place at lunchtime.

we love this place and visit it every time we get to savannah.  my wife is "the queen of shrimp & grits" and she swears these are her favorite anywhere.  i love em' as well.  it's got a great bar.  it's got a great lunch menu.  it's got great waiters and waitresses.  it's in a really cool space.  there is nothing about this place i dislike.  if you want a great meal in savannah without as long of a wait then try boar's head.

my husband and i enjoyed a lazy lunch at the boar's head grill, along with a window view of the savannah river. the crab cakes and she-crab soup were delicious!

with so many choices in the area, we somehow stumbled into this quaint little tavern. the food was better than expected and the staff was friendly!

we wanted to love this place, some of the food was really good esp the fresh fish but some was not and i really think it could be great. the fish was great the sides weren't good fried green tomatoes and then wilted greens in the side. the part that really caught us was pricing esp drinks. we started with a mixed drink no prices on menu and when the drinks came they were watery and not full so the waiter apologized and asked if he could replace it. i said no and my husband said a beer instead but all the ones he asked for on tap were out so he said ok replace the martini.

we got the bill and it was $90 for one appetizer,, my meal, and a fish entre and the rest was charged as a bar bill of $56 we were charged $14 a drink and the bad drinks were not replaced we were charged for 3 drinks totaling $56. when we asked he said no i wasn't replacing it for free

the view was nice but i certainly could have had a much nicer meal for $100 somewhere else

fantastic experience! just stopped in for a quick lunch but we were overwhelmed by the excellent service and amazing food. highly recommended.

very good dinner. my wife and i enjoyed dinner at boars head grill and tavern tonight. i got a filet and she got the stuffed shrimp. we both were quite pleased with our meals and would suggest it to anyone looking for a nice place to have dinner. service was also top notch.

i really liked this place. right on the river, great service. the old building inside was like a step back in time. i had the stuffed shrimp. fantastic! pricey, but it's a tourist trap. if you want cheap go to mcdonalds.

our last meal in savanbah after a week here. the best meal we've had. our waitress, amber, gave us excellent advice and helped with us with some incredible menu selections. the shrimp & scallops primavera was awesome as was the chicken salad sandwich with mustard coleslaw which was a taste sensation. try the dark and stormy cocktail!
this restaurant is a must when in savannah!
