not worth it. i've been here several times because it's a trendy and popular place for my friends to meet but i always leave feeling frustrated. service is consistently horrible and they act like it's a hassle to have you in their restaurant. almost every time i've been there the sushi has been served on common plates and then it'll take another 20 minutes to get individual plates (after you had to ask because they weren't brought out). you end up just staring at your food for the majority of the time. good luck flagging a server down to refill your water or get another drink, i usually sit through the meal parched. i'm not sure if they're just severely understaffed or what's more likely from my experience, the servers are gossiping around the hostess stand.

the happy hour specials are reasonable but regular prices are pretty high for mediocre sushi, and they won't split the check so you have to figure it out for yourself. if you don't know much about sushi you might think this is ok stuff but if you eat sushi regularly i wouldn't suggest it. my advice is: go to hiro. prices are a little higher but the sushi is much better and the service is fantastic. you'll get a quality experience for the price you pay.

won't go back. we went around 1 pm on a monday, was seated immediately, and watched the waitress go past to the other table twice. never so much as acknowledged we were there. after ten minutes of being totally and completely ignored, we got up and left. we will not return!

sunday funday at its finest!!!. half price sushi all day sunday! what more needs to be said?? i crave this stuff all week long! highly recommend the crunchy la or the tan rolls. the mango crab rangoon is good too!! and of course, edamame! i could go on and on. their food is off the chain! much better than kona, although i can't speak for hiro as i've never eaten there. just writing this review makes me want to go eat at blue. yum!

let me start off saying im not one to care enough to write reviews whether good or bad but this was so irritating. my first impression with blue is shot with the staff except whoever is making the food is excellent. me and my party got seated fairly quickly because we called and reserved for ourselves day prior. cool, brownie point there. then after meeting our waiter and being seat im sure what seemed to be a manager moved us from our semi booth table to a regular table which being polite i agreed because he said he'd take care of us and push a smaller table to ours (we were waiting on two other ppl but they really could have grabbed one of the extra chairs by entrance door). but shortly after the table got seated next to us so i had to flag him down to say hey you said this and that. n i really hate being the one to be an ass and be that customer. so they fixed that then he was polite and said he'd take some things off our check. not only did they not take off anything off they also split out checks wrong even after telling out wattress what we ordered to make sure it was split correctly. communication is key and they failed that so hard with the staff and most importantly the customer. we tipped but i wish i honestly gave it too the cook who made our food which was delicious. i really wanted to like the ppl but you bumped my table, had to flag you down and you split checks wrong. it was busy i give them that but i have a cust. serv job as well and it gets busy and i always make sure communication is there and try to be as 100% with the customer in front of me. its okay to slow it down to get it right guys! i will give them one more shot cause the food but next time i wont be tipping no one but the cook if its as good as this meal was.

not a sushi lover, but love blue. i don't eat the sushi, but have had the teriyaki chicken dinner, which is wonderful and comes with a delicious vinegary rice salad, and have also had the chicken satay with lemongrass and spicy peanut sauce. have not been disappointed. the atmosphere is fun with surfing videos, and the upstairs sake bombers lounge has a cool vibe too.

amazing. happy hour was perfect. great "american" twists on old time favorites. there are plenty of food choices and drinks for every taste. the sake martinis were delicious. personally, i had the philadelphia roll, blue balls, hawaiian roll, popper, and the mango-crab rangoon.

a group of 7 of us ate there on a rainy night the day after christmas. a bit crowded, but only about a 10-15 minute wait for our table. waiter knowledgeable, very friendly, & fast. good food, tasty, reasonable prices for sushi.
the only major drawback is lthat it’s extremely loud (average ~78 db), with loud music & crowd noise, & hard surfaces, making it impossible to carry on a conversation without yelling.

rolled into blue for lunch after the farmer’s market on a saturday. we had a tuna tower, shishito peppers, and a thriller roll and a island breeze mocktail. all were good and would order again. a bit pricey for lunch but a great environment. can be crowded at times. be prepared to wait a little. will be back.

the drinks were fantastic. the sushi rolls were good but most of them all had a sweet component. would definitely return! the ambiance is alone worth it.

the sushi was really good and the drinks were awesome. i recommend the 'thriller' roll and and 'big red' fishbowl. located in a nice area, patio seating was perfect.

this place has the best sushi in town, and some of the best i have ever eaten. stopped in on a business trip. it's the second time i've tried it. no disappointments!

i recommend going for happy hour to limit cost. the service was okay but the food took a while to come out. the quality and the drinks were worth the wait. i came back for dinner and didn't care for the added price and the loud downstairs seating area.

i was asking two of my best friends to accompany me to some japanese restaurant. good thing they like asian foods, so they told me about this place. if i am not mistaken this place could do a buffet or they have a certain hour, where they served some special menu.

the taste of the sushi is amazing, the fish (salmon, tuna, etc) was great. the dessert, matcha ice cream is my favorite and i kind pf influenced my friends and they both liking it too.

blue happy hour is the best! they have fresh cucumber water and mango crab rangoon! the best part is... the rangoon and some of their best rolls are half off during happy hour. the seating can be annoying at times, but it always seems to be worth it!

my fav! can't beat the all day happy hour prices on a ton of the sushi on sunday's. i'm always excited to try something new there! service has been hit or miss as we usually go up to the sake bomber lounge but it's worth it for the sunday deal.
