dry bison burger and bad customer service. for a bison burger at $17 a pop i expect more. the burger was so dry and the server did not even ask how the food was. not coming back!!!!!

very disappointed. the place is small, there is always always wait time. very bad customer service which is a shame and doesn't make up for the good food they serve, customer service is part or customer experience. we do spend time to eat but also to spend quality time. i was seated in the worst table ever, it shouldn't be a table as it kind of faces two washrooms plus and the stand/ machine that servers so lots and lots of people passing by. as soon as i realized it is facing the washroom i asked to change table, they literally refused, caring more about making room for upcoming customers than then making the one the already have seated happy. would not recommend at all.

desappointed at the service. i was seated by corner close to two washrooms, people passing by constantly, when i asked to change the table, the waitress refused to accommodate, that table shouldn't be one, right in front if washrooms. they cared more about making space for upcoming costumers than making the one they already have happy! very des appointing. will not be back again!

decent brkfst. had brkfast with friends here. waited for 45 min for table of 4. food was serve at decent speed. overall my dish was okay. my friends bennie was soggy as the egg yolk mixed with bacon. overall not bad

worth a visit. i recently treated myself to a weekday breakfast out and blue star was the location i chose. this choice was one i did not regret.

i was greeted with by a smiling face and quickly shown to my seat with a coffee in front of me before i knew it. i decided to go all-in on the all-in omelette .... delicious. if you order this you better be hungry. the eggs were nice and fluffy and there were goodies everywhere including nice crisp veggies and delicious pieces of pork.

by the time this meal was all done ... or more accurately when i just couldn't eat anymore i was ready for a food coma and had a smile from ear to ear.

the prices are a little high ($16 for the omelette) but i didn't find them to be unreasonable and when the food delivers this kind of quality i'm not expecting a $5.99 breakfast either. if you are looking for somewhere new to try for breakfast ... blue star is worth your consideration.

i would recommend to anyone to try this place out. be sure you leave time for the line up though.
been here a couple of times, and well it starts all looking and tasting the same.
gets boring after a while.

good food. good food, cute room , good service , long wait but once in side the folks made it warm and welcoming. a nice way to start the day..the menu is very pricy for a breakfast spot but the quality is quite good

... of course, i left the best for last: the bsd hashbrown potatoes. they were perfect diner-style hash. each cube of potato was crispy on the outside while potatoe-y tender on the inside. i would be happy eating this alone.

a gold start for blue star!. me and by boyfriend went here on sunday morning as we were looking to try new breakfast spots in calgary. i got the eggs bennie with smoked salmon and he got the chipotle pulled pork hash. both dishes were delicious! the service and atmosphere were great as well. the only thing i didn't like was that from where i was sitting i could see everyone who was waiting for a table... and they were just staring at me as i ate... :d

we really enjoyed everything here! although the price is high for a breakfast, the food really does fill you up so it counts as a brunch or even a lunch! the service is amazing as they’re busy yet super friendly. i’m really glad we got to come by blue star diner and try them out!

awesome veggie burger!. went in for dinner on a wednesday night after work. wasn't crazy busy, but nearly every seat (including the bar) was full while we were there, though nobody seemed to have to wait too long. menu had a decent variety - everywhere from vegan to what sounded like a fabulous meatloaf. i had the bsd veggie burger. like most good, non-soy burgers, it was a bit squashed by the end and all over the place, but it had good flavour. aged cheddar and avocado are always a safe bet! my partner had the chorizo burger, which was also fantastic. only (pretty insignificant) low note was that the caesar wasn't noticeable spicy, but that's a pretty easy fix and very much forgivable. thumbs up all around!

waited about an hour to get in but well worth the wait. food was fantastic! the place is small and busy for good reason. service was quick and friendly. this place is a must for everyone!

excellent!!!! service, food atmosphere, drink, dessert, fries!!! the simple excellence applied to the most minor details make this place extraordinary. cinnamon in the batter on the yam fries. i adore this place, best burger ive had in a loooong time!

worth the wait. it was quite the wait to get a table as this place is not very big. staff are very friendly, and service was quick. we ordered the breakfast sammy and banana cream pie filled french toast. the breakfast sammy was fantastic, you could really taste the fresh basil. the hashbrowns were beautifully seasoned and not even a little greasy. the french toast was a delight. it was so light and fluffy, and so tasty i didn't even wish for syrup. the prices are very fair for food of such high quality.
