worst dining experience i've had. the extremely poorserviceand neglect and utter rudeness of the wait staff is more than i could write in this review. it was by far the worst dining experience i have received anywhere (and i've been around awhile). i agree with all the previous negative reviews. my experience was so bad i almost called to talk to the manager, but i have a feeling he/she doesn't really care. will never go back!!!

have visited several times for early morning coffee or to pick up some french bread to take home.serviceis hit or miss but their coffee is strong and fresh. parking can be a trick at times.

great food. horribleserviceevery time. the hostess who normally works there is nice but consistently slams the restaurant. they need to hire two bussers so she doesn't have to clean and seat. the volume justifies the expense. it would help the turn of the tables and the servers.

for the life of me i can not understand why they even have a restaurant here. the bread is always very good. however as a resident of the neighborhood theservicehere is abysmal and is the worst in crescent hill and probably the frankfort ave corridor. after five visits in five years the staff just gets worse. my advice, head to the liquor barn and get their bread and spare yourself the hefty dose of snarky hipster server who will just throw shade and jack up your order.

favorite brunch spot. it's amazing how snooty the louisville food scene must have become. seems like everyone wants to hate a place now, and when someone does they want to pile on. blue dog makes the best breads in the city and the food is terrific. this is our favourite spot to stop for brunch on weekends and when i haven't been in a while i miss going in. and, it's not just the food, theservicehere is terrific. everyone smiles and makes sure you have what you need. exactly how goodserviceshould be. theserviceis quick, the food is quick, but remember you went out for breakfast or brunch, not mcdonald's. if you need someone to ask you if things are ok 100 times during your visit you should put down your phones and learn how to carry a conversation with the person you came with.

service is still crap. all the previous reviews about the lousyserviceare true. went in this morning for a quick breakfast - name was third on the list, with four vacant tables visible. really? wait was advertised as 10-15 minutes?? really????!!!!! they seated the two parties of ahead of us - net gain of one vacant table. waited 15 minutes and left. the food may be good, but it's not worth the indifferent-bordering on arrogant attitude of the wait staff. been here a couple of times before and had similar experience. attributed it to the place being extremely busy. it wasn't this morning, so one is left to conclude that they either can't find decent employees or just don't give a damn. never going back.

good. i've dined here three times and i think i have an accurate impression now. the food is delicious-both breakfast and lunch. the presentation is beautiful, but it is a tad overpriced. it's a nice treat every now and then, though.servicecan be somewhat "off" sometimes but for the most part everyone is friendly enough. it definitely wouldn't stop me from returning.

blue dog bakery--. i went in there over the weekend and was treated rather poorly. i understand you're busy. but one should receive some acknowledgement- "sir, i'll be with you shorty" or something like that and when i tried to order and had a question they seemed annoyed and took a long time to take my order. my order was wrong and when i called and asked to speak to the manager to tell them about it i was put on hold for a long time. so long in fact, i hung up and called back and they answered! i was again put on hold then they didn't come back. worst customerserviceever. full of people who have a bad attitude. if you don't like your job, quit. don't take it out on other people. i do not recommend this place at all.

great place. i've frequented blue dog for quite a while. i've always had friendlyserviceand great food. the servers have been happy to answer questions and work really hard to bring good service. the local house-cured meats are incredible. and to the person who says they had badservicethere on a sunday...blue dog is actually closed on sundays. don't write a nasty review from one bad experience. try it again.

if you dont like crusty artisan bread, stick to wonder bread. yes there most certainly is a fair amount of pretension exhibited by staff that does need to be addressed by management. as a consumer who is ultimately paying the wages of the staff, i feel that a certain amount of common courtesy is owed while patroning an establishment. that being said, the bread is delicious, and for those that have reviewed it as being too crusty on the outside, i suggest you go to your local kroger, pic-pac, pigly-wigly etc. etc. and by a loaf of wonder/bunny bread. there is a reason why bluedog has become nationaly recognized for its artisan bread, which is a little bit different from what we americans have been used to. to say that the bread that is made at this fine artisan bakery is archaic or "old" is an ignorant statement, its a just a different style than that of what the past 5 or 6 generations of americans are used to. my only recommendation to the owners of blue dog is to get a grip on the customerserviceside of the business, get rid of those employees that display innapropriate attitudes towards those that help pay their bills, other than that, kudos to the chef.
