i was at bbc for lunch on woman's day with my girl squad, and i totally loved the vibes of this place. the place totally does justice to the name and welcomes you with a brilliant blue décor, high rise seating and cozy ambience with some trendy music playing in the background that adds element to the place and sets the mood up.

we started as usual with some mocktails/cocktails as the gastropub is noted for the assortment of some outstanding handcrafted drinks included in their menu.

lime soda: a mojito and a lime soda is a basic drink which i always order in any place as that’s the basic drink and most of the restaurant overlook the simplest blend. so i did the same here, but it was bang on.
mango martini- my first preference has always been the lime flavor as it’s the basic and the best, however on the staff recommendation we ordered mango martini and it was worth it. the perfect blend of gin and vermouth with a slight mango twist was absolutely amazing.
choco loco is a refreshing mocktail for the summers blended with mango, coconut and pineapple. everyone might not like the flavours together as it totally depends on your tastebuds.
the starters served to us were chicken lollipop which was scrumptious, crispy from the outside and totally juicy and tender from the inside.
burmese parcels is one of the must order for a vegetarian, these were mini pockets filled with cheese and minced veggies served with a dip. totally addictive.
chicken tikka: the tikka was cooked to perfection and very succulent and favoursome.
mutton ghee roast: well, i heard a lot of buzz about themuttonghee roast served here, however the one i was served was little undercooked. themuttoncould have been more tender but the flavours were really good.
dal khchdi: one of the best dal khichdi i had post khichdi experiment. simple and delectable khichdi served with pickle and papad!
basa grilled fish with seasoned rice: i really loved this dish and i would recommend all the fish lovers to try this one out. the minced fish was grilled to perfection, mouth melting and full of flavours served with some jeera rice and saute vegetables. i felt it was slightly high on salt however still the taste and the savour forced me to order it twice.
kung pao chicken with rice and prawns sagankari was also very delicious and tasted perfect with the jeera rice served along.

brownie with icecream: this remains on the top of my dessert list, a perfectly warm scrumptious brownie topped with vanilla scoop and garnished with int was quite delectable and tempting.

overall it's a beautiful pace to hangout with your friends or even someone special, the drinks, food as well as the ambience will definitely make your day or your evening!!

recommendations: cocktails, chicken lollipop, burmese parcels, basa grilled fish with rice, dal khichdi and brownie with ice cream

the name blue block club pretty much gives you an idea as to what to expect from this place on road no.92 of jubilee hills. right above starbucks, it's a club with a brilliant, vibrant blue theme that takes you by surprise even during the daytime. the ceiling has been smartly done with suspended black ropes. the high chairs with blue cushions complement the vibe of the place. the lush green view of the kbr park is a bonus. overall, blue block club doesn't go all funky crazy with its ambiance. it is a class act in pub architecture. i loved the place.

so when we say words like club, pub, and bars; what do you expect? music, liquids, dance? and maybe food. that's how food is cold-shouldered at pubs. and i don't blame them. when people enter pubs, they rarely have good food in mind. therefore the clubs invest a major chunk of their investment and focus on spirits and artist management. there are a handful of such places that can boast of great food. blue block is one of them.

this place serves great food.

so this is a food review. i was there for a sunday lunch. the vibe of the place was as lazy as a sunday afternoon could get. but their amazing food turned our lunch into a "pawwrry" of sorts!

we started with vol au vent, little puff pastries filled with veggies and topped with cheese. they tasted as good as they looked. i have had vol au vent before, but this one was way better. next up was burmese parcel, rolls stuffed with veggies and cheese. again, it was crispy and less oily which i kinda liked, but the last best burmese parcels i tasted had a cheesy filling, which i missed here. achari paneer tikka was just perfect. soft and fresh paneer and proper tikka flavors. no complaints here.

chicken lollipop was full of flavors but not something you would come back for.
seekh kebab was again perfect. nicely mincedmuttonand subtly spiced. i didn't like the unnecessary seasoning though.
blue block club's ghee roast has become the talk of the town, at least the foodieland. they have it both in chicken and mutton. it is beautifully served on lacha parathas. it is indeed one of the best ghee roast you can find in the city.
then came keema pav. a dish served at many pubs in the city. this one at blue block club is a 5/5 level. high-quality keema with the right flavors. i just thought it could've been a little oilier.
i saved the best for the last. the rara gosht. it was phenomenal! rara gosht is a popular north indian recipe made withmuttonand mincedmuttonboth. it has a sweet and tangy taste. many restaurants failed to bring this sweet and tangy combination properly. that's what bbc nailed here. i ate a full butter naan with it. don't miss rarha gosht at bbc.
then there was chicken pulav which was high on quality but unfortunately higher on spice. while most of my foodie buddies loved it i found it to be too spicy.

finally, i was so happy they had cheesecake in desserts. i had average expectations from them but the blueberry cheesecake blew my mind. it was just perfect in every department. the density of creamcheese, saltiness, sweetness, and softness. everything was on point.

if i go back to blue block club, it would be for the rara gosht with butter naan and blueberry cheesecake.

overall i loved the place. a club that has such a strong focus on food can not go wrong in its core competencies.

located in jubilee hills, close to kbr park, blue block club is a great option to choose if you are looking at the best clubs around the area in terms of food and ambience!
if you are heading out for a meal in a club, this is a great option! the lounge can accomodate a crowd of 50 people easily! as the name suggests, the place throws a cool blue tint which makes the entire ambience cool & cozy!
bbc has been heard of a lot due to their cocktail/mocktail menu as well as the food and i would say its all worth the buzz.
i was lucky to try some of their amazing mocktails named bbc buster (pineapple), lemon punch (watermelon), ticcle (orange), coco loco and quencher.
starters (veg) that i tried:
vol-ou-vent (felt like a puff pastry base with a cheese filling), baked cheese nachos, burmese parcel & achari paneer tikka
non veg starters:
chicken lollipop, sheekh kebab.
keema pav
main course:
mutton ghee roast, chicken ghee roast, muttonpulao, muttonrara gosht, chicken pulao, veg alfredo penne pasta, dal khichdi with papad!
awesome variety to choose from, right?
after having a scrumptious meal, we waited for the blueberry cheesecake. it was amazing! hence we thought of giving the raspberry cheesecake a try too! quite similar i would say but both were extremely delicious!

as the name suggests you think that a club which would be decored with blue color all over the place. yes it is the same, a small cosy place with elegant ambience along with rich blue in color, and the food being too good. i would say this place is an underrated club in the jubilee hills/ banjara hills area. blue block club is nestled in jubilee hills above starbucks & beside sofrehh. as soon as you enter you see the whole place is lit up with blue color and high rise seating. for some instances it also feels like you are organizing a party for your friends as blue color theme with some good food. the place can easily accommodate about 50 -60 pax. the ambience is basically blue & black combination which looks soothing.

appetizers :-
we had started with “achari paneer tikka”, paneer was thoroughly marinated in the home made spices and cooled well in clay oven, and the texture of the paneer was soft and talking about the taste it was phenomenal, where ever you go the topping for the appetizers, wouldn’t be that great. but for this particular dish it was too good, when you have the paneer tikka with the mint chutney, you will be able to discover the paneer taste more than having it normal. next item was “burmese parcel” again no one can wrong with this dish. this was very good along with the sweet sauce which was served as topping for this dish. next was the “baked cheese nachos” nachos were good along with good amount of cheese. we also had mayonnaise, salsa & guacamole as topping for the dish, when you have with these toppings, it gives an added taste to the nachos.
talking about non-veg section we had “mutton ghee roast” the bestmuttondish i had in my recent time. themuttonwas very tender and flavourful wheremuttonhad absorbed all the flavours & spices of the dish. this was served along with laccha paratha. must try dish from bbc. next was “kheema pav” another brilliant dish from the menu. kheema was flavourful and topped with butter which gave an added flavours to the dish.

maincourse :-
from the main course we had “spicy chicken pizza” which was very good with the toppings, palate wise as well. you would be getting all the ingredients in one bite. next was the “mutton pulav” i can say star dish from the day. the rice was very well cooked along with the meat chunks and flavours which made the dish top-notch. the next one was “dal kichidi” star dish from the veg section, a kichidi done in correct manner.
we also had few mocktails, watermelon punch, bbc buster (pineapple based mocktail) & cocktail named cold whale were good.

well this is my opinion on blue block club where i was not having any expectations from this little place, but now it became a place that you must visit a list of mine. my fav picks would bemuttonghee roast, achari paneer tikka, burmese parcel, muttonpulav & dal kichidi.

ambience :- 5/5
taste :- 4.5/5
service :- 5/5
overall experience :- 5/5

a new club opens up in the heart of the city ! located in jubilee hills right above starbucks this place has got alluring ambience with blue and black interior combination justifying their name ! with all high chairs and a music setup in the centre this place can accommodate upto 60 people ! the street view from the glass facade makes the experience more delightful ! hospitality here is top-notch and the staff were very helpful ! moving on to the food ! let's begin with the drinks first
bbc buster : with the goodness of pineapple ! it was tangy as it had mint dash of lime added to it along with black salt this mocktail was really refreshing!
watermelon punch : mocktail made of watermelon with a hint of lime ginger and basil i personally felt that basil was a bit dominant.
achari paneer tikka : i totally loved the flavours that paneer had it was moist super soft and high on flavours ! so far the best achari paneer tikka i had in town !
burmese parcel : so heavenly ! these were so addictive bite size mini pockets filled with cheesy veggies, served with a dip along side !
baked nachos : well nothing so fascinating just another regular appetizer given a healthy touch by baking the nachos and adding kidney beans and lots of fresh veggies served with salsa, mayo and guacamole dip !
chicken lollipop : i really liked the texture and flavours in each lollipop ! the meat was so tender and when had with the dip they tasted just amazing !
mutton ghee roast : one another star dish from this place. perfectly cookedmuttonchunks placed on lacha paratha will surely make your day ! this dish is for the spice lovers !
kheema pav : absolutely delectable ! i'm sure you'll ask for extra pav as the kheema was so delicious make sure you squeeze a dash of lime and add some chopped onions to devour it the best way !
spicy chicken pizza : a thin crust pizza with spicy chicken, jalapenos, bell peppers and onions ! i personally felt that bell peppers were slightly extra well that can be cutdown apart from that everything was fine ! spice lovers do try this pizza for sure !!!
dal khichdi : i never knew a club would be serving this good homely food ! dal khichdi was lipsmacking ! it was served with pickle and papad i must say when had with pickle it tasted heavenly !
mutton pulao : this dish kinda lacked flavours for me i wasn't able to figure out what was off about it but surely something was missing in it ! although the rice was cooked to perfection the marination was well and the quantity was good !
brownie & icecream : super soft and gooey brownie topped with vanilla icecream dusted with caster sugar and plated with walnuts ! ending our meals to this dessert was a great delight !!!!!

must haves: achari paneer tikka, burmese parcel, muttonghee roast, dal khichadi, muttonpulav and brownie.

rarely do we expect great food at clubs and mainly land up eating somewhere and going to a club. another reason is that club food is super expensive. what you you got both, delicious food and reasonable rate with good quality and quantity of food? this is one such place.

here's what all we had:
achari paneer tikka: absolutely delicious. highly recommended. the paneer was melt in the mouth and the achari masala was spot on. loved the fact that it wasn't overpowered by the achari flavours.

baked cheese nacho's: regular nachos, nothing exceptional. over good flavours and quantity.

burmese parcel: absolutely delicious and cheesy. the dipping sauce complimented the dish very well. packed with flavours. crunchy on the outside and warm filling in the inside.

dal khichdi: who doesn't love the humble dal khichadi? this is a great option for those who like eating healthy food. super homely flavours and the perfect consistency.
special mention to the achaar served alongside which was the star of the dish. so good!

spicy chicken pizza: generous with their toppings and cheese. the crust was perfect, not too thin, not too thick.

chicken lollipop: crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked chicken drumsticks on the inside. the sauce served alongside is delicious too.

mutton ghee roast: well cooked tender juicy chunks ofmuttoncooked in ghee and masalas served with paratha.

mutton pulao: the charm of this dish was the marination onmuttonchunks in it. the pulav was flavoured to perfection, rice cooked well and the meat, tender and juicy

keema pao: this was the star of the show. loved the fact that it was rich in flavours and not just the spice levels. the quantity of keema was good when compared to the pricing.

chocolate brownie: the brownie was rich and super chocolatey. the pricing is decent compared to the serving portion. they were generous with the walnut garnishing which was only adding more flavour to the dish.

they have a wide yof mocktails and cocktails. the pricing is decent and the flavours are great.
we had watermelon punch, bbc buster ( pineapple one) and the whiskey based cocktail.

overall it's a small place that can accommodate 70-80 people. the food and beverages are outstanding and the pricing is low.

ambience: 4.25/5

blue blcok club. a new entrant in the lanes of jubilee hills is now all set to welcome the lovely people of hyderabad. located on jubilee hills road no. 92. this place is all set to make you groove. overlooking the city from this place has been such an amazing thing to witness. the ambience of this place is soo astounding with all the tables on the corners with high chairs and the bar is nicely organized in the middle. this was fantastic. i actually loved the all blue ambience accompanied with black. the floor, seating and even the mirror studded walls. everything in blue as its name. while if we compare it to other places. the only thing which i felt was lacking was the chandeliers. those were replaced with some normal spotlights. the staff was very corteous and on their toes to serve us.!
the menu was curated in such a way with both indian and continental dishes. the food what we have ordereded was quick and they maintained topnotch hospitality.!
lets talk about food now.!
starting it off with some refreshing mocktails.
.
1. watermelon punch - i personally felt this was an average watermelon mocktail with a hint of basil. was refreshing.
2. bbc buster. (pineapple.)  - this was the showstopper for me.! personally loved it. soo refreshing made of pineapple, lime, sugar etc. garnished up with a pineapple and coriander.
.
.
moving on to food.!
.
.
1. achari paneer tikka - a perfect starter for all of em out there.! well, yes.! this was absolutely a lip smacking dish. didn't expect it to be this good. paneer tikka. it was proper coated with that masala and grilled to perfection. served with youghurt dipped onions and a mint chutney.
2. baked cheese nachos - a mexican appetizer which was topped up with loads of cheese, baked beans and in house sauces. served with three dips.
3. burmese parcel - i must say this was a show stopper among the veg appetizers.! well when i say this i really mean it. rolls stuffed up with chopped creamy veggies and cheese. creamy and soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. a pure bliss for my taste buds.!
4. dal khichdi - a dish which made me feel like i was at home. this came along with a mango pickle and a papad. you cant resist once you have it with the pickle.
5. spicy chicken pizza - thin crust pizza, topped up with loads of chicken chunks, bell peppers, jalapenos and cheese. the spice level was high on this.! i felt this kinda needed slight improvement by reducing the amount of bell peppers and jalapenos. cheese level should be increased though.!
6. chicken lollipop - 8 chicken lollipops coated with in house spices an deep fried. served with a dip.
7.muttonghee roast - a treat for all the meat lovers out there.! yes you heard it right.! perfect tender, juicy and wholesome meat cooked in pure ghee. can experience all the lip smacking flavours in a bite. this was served on a bed of paratha's. became my fav.!
8.muttonpulao - this had mild flavours of all the in house masala, with those bone inmuttonpieces. served along a raita.!
9. kheema pav - this is an amazing dish to try here. kheema with flavour full spices made to perfection served with diced onions, lemon and a pav. perfectly balanced flavours.
10. brownie with icecream - a classic yet an amazing dessert to end the day on a sweet note. freshly baked brownie, with walnuts, topped up with a scoop of vanilla icecream and garnished with mint. everyones fav.!
if you are in or around jubilee hills them i have to recommend you to put this on your bucket list. i hope this was helpful. thank you. 💯

jubilee hills have been one of those places in hyderabad which is blessed with numerous upscale lounges & clubs. and the number seems to be increasing day by day ! we are not complaining though.

one such new entrant to the long list of clubs is blue block club ! situated at road no 92 in jubilee hills, this one is power pack! why power pack ? because one of those few clubs who take their food seriously. when ever a clubs opens up their main aim is to concentrate on ambience, music and artists & later comes the food part. but that's not the scene with blue block club. they are serious about their food and they know what they serving.

my recent visit to this place was a very memorable one. though it's a tiny place which can accommodate around 70 to 100 ppl, it's still a happening one with bollywood music blasting & crowd enjoying to the core. it has a modern design of interiors with a dark and dusky theme to it. their island bar is the main attraction with access to drinks from all the sides. tables and sofas has been placed very smartly to accommodate as many ppl as they can.

being a club and having multiple bar tenders, you can't really go wrong with the drinks. bbc have lived to that expectations. food on the other hand was something that really impressed me. we tried array of dishes which included aachari paneer tikka (to my surprise this was one amazing dish. having the good quality of paneer makes a lot of difference) , murgh chakori kebab (a different twist to kebab with right amount of flavors),muttonghee roast (this was the star dish for me.muttonalways brings out of best of flavours & this one justified it totally), prawn shezwan, bbc lamb pizza and chicken steak.
i ended my dinner with brownie and ice cream. a decent dessert to finish off my experience here. a lovely place to hang out with your gang over bollywood music and good food.

while the recent times might have changed the definition of going out, the fervour with which the city of hyderabad appreciates its nightlife wouldn't ever be influenced. a thing that has been fairly evident with this new establishment called the blue block club here in jubilee hills which is already going houseful every service ever since the place opened its doors for the public. wooing their patrons not only by their chic noir ambience, the place has an incredible music setup for the party aficionados making it a perfect spot to groove and let loose. and blessed with a great kitchen and barmen, this pub is really whipping up some drool worthy grub which just hits the nail right on its head!

the menu for this place has been curated keeping in mind the local tastes and demands, incorporating elements of fan-favourite cuisines and giving them the kitchen's own unique twist. starting out the journey with a few vegetarian samplers, i tried their vol-au-vent and burmese parcels both of which knocked the ball right out of the park. a french delight loaded with a cheesy vegetable filling, the flaky puff pastries with the vol-au-vent are definitely a must try. from among the non vegetarian dishes, it was perfect blend of spices in theirmuttonghee roast which blew my mind. served on a bed of some flaky paranthas, the succulent meat soaked in oodles of ghee was just the thing one would enjoy with a couple of rounds of beer.

with a fairly elaborate menu, even the mains section had a cornucopia of options to choose from where i went for their classic chicken burger, bella dona pizza and theirmuttonpulao for that indian touch. while the burger was a fairly average one lacking a whole lot of flavour within the patty, the portion size itself was humongous which made it quite worth the price. their pizza however raised the bar up high having just the right crispiness with the thin crust and a generous topping of veggies having a drizzle of some chili oil - always a plus for spice lovers like me. even theirmuttonpulao did justice to the taste buds, packing rustic punch of flavours coming from the whole spices with every bite.

although the place didn't have a whole lot to offer on desserts, the ones on the menu surely stand there for a reason and both their brownie with ice cream and the new york cheesecake proved the same. an indulgent treat to finish the meal on a high, it was their new york cheesecake which became my favourite - thanks to the delicious cream cheese and a lovely fruit compote on top which comes with a choice between blueberry or raspberry. in addition to the great food and ambience, the ever-attentive and warm staff surely embellished the overall dining experience. keeping in mind the new normal, the restaurant did due diligence towards the safety of the diners with the regular sanitization as well as recommended precautions in the kitchen area. all in all, if you fancy party places serving delectable grub and drinks, blue block club should definitely be on your bucket list!

socializing is today an inescapable phenomenon and everybody wants to drink better. cafes, bars and pubs are a great place to hang out. in the metros, most working professionals spend their time at home, in the office or commuting between the two! having a place in the neighbourhood actually helps one leave behind all the stress and unwinds in a comfortable setting.
with new innovations, creation and reinvention, these categories help to boost the restaurant industry’s growth in both volume and value. with live sports match, music performance, standup comedy or gaming nights- it’s gone beyond just drinking and transformed into more of a lifestyle leisure activity where one can party, have a good time with old friends or make new ones.
hyderabad & its pub culture has seen a decent rise in the recent years wherein the pubs offer the best of the food & beverages as it plays a vital role not only for the pleasure but also to showcase a fully-fledged bar presence to ramp up the outlook and ambience of a restaurant. blue block club is one such place which hits all the chords on the right note. a newbie to the jubilee hills pub sector, blue block is a club which has an ambience as per its name. be it the floors or seating arrangement or the even mirror studded walls, everything is stocked up in blue colour which makes this place certainly an offbeat one as compared to other pubs; no chandeliers as well rather basic spotlights has been put up.
coming to the food, we were welcome with a puff named as vol-au-vent, a bit-sized puff stuffed with a concoction of veggies & cheese, making it a great dish to kick start your palate. from the appetizers, baked nachos, achari paneer tikka made their prominent presence amidst meat lovers, when i say this i mean it; the paneer tikka had the apt amount of masala coated & grilled till perfection, even nachos had the right amount kidney beans & tomatoes diced in a spice mix paired with mayo dips is surely a great pick to munch on.
from the meat section, muttonkeema pav was a star dish, the keema having the right amount of spice powders cooked till perfection served with pav buns & onion rings went really well for us. evenmutton& chicken ghee roast aren't to be missed at all, just the right amount of fresh spices, dry roasted and ground to paste & then cooked in ghee till perfection, a recommended pick from the menu.
even veg platter is a great pick for the vegetarians out there with decent quantity & quality being maintained, appetizers consisting of broccoli, paneer, shashlik, mushroom & hara bhara kebabs. onto the mains, classic chicken burger could have had the patty a bit less salty, however, buns given were fresh. onto the bella dona pizza, an amalgamation of onions, broccoli, tomatoes, jalapenos as topping with fresh cheese is a great pick for folks hanging out in a group. both of kashmiri pulao &muttonpulao can certainly be tried out for the ones venturing into the mains, as these dishes were some quality stuff presented, light to the palate yet flavourful. squaring off with desserts, brownie with ice-cream is a classic pick, however, cheesecake variants like blueberry or raspberry can also be opted for as they are some standard ones presented here.

blue block club
hyderabad has seen rapid growth over the year, specially the f&b sector. this made hyderabad's nightlife evolve with new fancy restaurants, clubs, lounges and slowly getting a tag as city with amazing night life.
with so many clubs opening every week there is one kid which is making the right noise and grabbing the attention and that is blue block club.
ambience is dark themed and you won't be finding chandeliers or led lights unlike other clubs.
from scrumptious snacks to signature drinks, this place offers the best of everything and will make your night a memorable one.
but if you are looking for spacious or huge property then this place will definitely disappoint you.
while the place is little small as compared to the other clubs with seating capacity around 100 people, the great music, amazing food and drink, and the classy crowd makes bbc as one of the most sought-after chilling spot in hyderabad.
have seen in many places that they tend to compromise with food when the place is famous for drinks or vice versa. but here the food served comes after a lot of experimentation to suit our taste buds.
feom starters to dessert everything was on spot.

food we tried :

cheese papad : nothing fancy about this dish. cheese grated on papad. can consider this as a warm up to amazing feast.

vol- ou- vent : the crisp vol- ou- vent is a small hollow case of puff pasty. this had perfect cheese filling. one of the best starter we could have possible had. from the taste to presentation everything was good.

aachari paneer tikka : mouth watering starter made with paneer marinated in achari(pickle spices) paneer was coated with spicy masala which made this dish as hard to resist.

prawn shezwan : this was delight to taste buds the crispness was perfect.

mutton ghee roast : perfectly tender, juicy and flavourfullmuttoncooked in ghee bringing out all the flavours. served on paratha, this instantly became everyone's favourite.
well done chef. this was cooked to perfection.

bbc lamb pizza :
great combination of flavour. lamb pizza is not only loaded with the goodness of meat but also has yummy vegetables to complement the flavours.
very thin crust pizza had generous amout of mince meat, green chillies, olives jalapeños making this as amazing pizza. be it a veg or non-veg pizza, one can never say no to it.

kung pao chicken pot : sauteed rice with amazing gravy made of cashew paste, garlic chillies, soy sauce. this will be good option for oriental cuisine lovers.

brownie and ice cream : things can never go wrong with this classic dish.
