heard lots of great reviews about thechickenwings and certainly wasn't disappointed! they are quality. meaty generous portions and the sauce is amazing. the blue cheese dip could be better.
really nice friendly staff and great atmosphere. i went sunday day it was quite busy but wasn't waiting too long.
definitely go back.

love the place! looked like a quaint little place from the outside, but it's actually pretty big. lovely ambiance. it was a little chilly outside but the heaters are pretty strong and keep you warm.
the service was very good. the girl who took our order was very friendly and patient.
the food was really good. it was really well made and to our surprise the portion size was pretty big.

we had singaporechickensalad, potato bravas, a cous cous salad and a risotto dish.
the potato bravas is a must have, while i found the singaporechickena bit too sweet for my palate. it was still well made though.

overall a good experience!

overrated restaurant! lovely space but the food the main thing a disappointment ! i ordered a ckicken burger , thechickenwas over cooked and so dry that was so hard to eat. as a starter the famous wings , tasty but over spicy. as a desert as a attempt to save the meal a blueberry cheesecake but again not tasty at all . i would suggest the space to enjoy a drink at the terrace with sea view or try the seafood , that's it !

one of my 'go-to' restaurants forchickenwings. much nicer than the over-rated elephant and castle. i always order the large portion of wings as my main, with a side of their rustic fries. sauce is very tasty! i usually skip dessert here and opt for one of the tasty ice cream options from storm in a teacup outside on the pier.

myself and friends went here last night celebrating a few birthdays, it wasn't anyone's first time being here. our table wasn't ready for the time it was booked for so we were left waiting but staff were very friendly. i ordered a pear mojito in the mean time - lovely. i always find blues food to be quite average and if i don't order wings i feel like i'm left sitting there staring at the menu panicking what to order instead. i went with thechickencaesar salad, it was nice. i also tried the wings and garlic bread, both delicious - it made me regret not ordering the wings. others got the burger, wings, salmon, singapore salad and a goats cheese dish. there were no complaints about the food. after the meal, we went upstairs to the lounge where it was an okay atmosphere but not too packed. the bar staff were incredibly slow at serving and this was highly disappointing as they weren't under staffed or under too much pressure. overall, enjoyable experience but i'm not in a rush to get back.

the cocktails we ordered were all delicious and very aesthetically pleasing. thechickenwings were gorgeous (as always). unfortunately my burger was slightly overdone.

have been to the blue bar loads of times, it's so worth the visit to skerries if you are achickenwing fanatic..!
would also recommend thechickenand ribs 🍴 i'm not crazy for seafood but heard it's amazing from here! they have a great new menu and you can now book a table ahead (it used to be just walk in) ☺️

have heard so much about their wings so had to give them a try! me and my friend got a small portion of thechickenwings each with fries and garlic bread on the side. the wings were covered in sauce! they were delicious but i prefer them a little crunchier then drowning in sauce! we also got a chocolate brownie and cheesecake for dessert - the brownie was so good but wasn't heated properly so the middle was still a bit cold..! also had a solero cocktail - really really nice! definitely worth a visit for some wings and a few drinks😋

quite simply this was spot on! fab restaurant! really friendly staff and food was great! i booked a table for two 2 hours before we got there, no hassle getting the table, but i would recommend booking! the atmosphere was great on a sunday evening! i ordered the prawns pil pil and they were so tasty and fresh! had a small portion ofchickenwings for main and they were yummy too! definitely try the house gin and elderflower tonic 👌👌 all round great spot!

this place is well known for itschickenwings but the past two times i've left disappointed by them. after a break away from it i decided to give it a go again and i'm so happy i did because the wings were back to a 10/10! we shared a small portion between three people for starters (so that's around 3 wings each plenty for just a nibble) and for my main i had the cajunchickenburger with no bun. thechickenwas very tender and the others got beef burgers which were really well flavoured. the servers are always so friendly and the place is always buzzing with atmosphere. very enjoyable meal.

i heard such amazing reviews of thechickenwings in blue bar i had to pay a visit. 45mins drive from the city out to skerries had my appetite primed. the room was filled with lovely booths but as there were only 2 of us we were seated at a high table at the bar which was a bit off-putting as the bar staff were working on top of us. after much deliberation we decided to split a portion of wings and a pulled pork sandwich but were disappointed to discover there was no pulled pork available. we ordered 2 large portions of wings on advice from the waitress but soon discovered that one large portion would have been loads for 2 hungry people, disappointing as the portions were €14 each without sides. the sides menu strangely has 3 different types of chips which aren't varied enough to be justified. we ordered 2 different types which turned out to be very small for €4/5 each and the chunky fries must have been the end of a batch as they were shrivelled and contained minimal potato. the wings themselves were deliciously messy and covered in a house sauce, not the standard franks which i liked, but they turned out to be resolutely mediocre and after 5/6 wings they became a bit of a chore, not the magical feed i was expecting. we shared a brownie for dessert which was nice but a bit dry by the time someone remembered to bring us cutlery to eat it with. i can see the appeal of blue bar as a local spot and some of the food around us looked delicious but i wouldn't go out of your way, the service was poor and the reputation of the wings as among the best in dublin is completely unwarranted.

cannot fault this place. beautiful seafront location and seriously tasty food! i've had a lot ofchickenwings but these are by far the best i've tasted and a good sized portion too. the menu has a wide variety of dishes from salads to seafood.

blue is a bit legendary among the locals of skerries for theirchickenwings but the entire menu is fairly solid. they have good beer on tap and their curry is excellent. lovely location for a family meal especially in the summer with the outside seating a great place to hang out.
