blos cafe

had my 60th on friday. great venue, good waiter..... and then the main meal arrived. the steak was cooked to death, so dry almost impossible to swallow, chicken dry and overcooked, pot bread was meant to be garlic still looking for the garlic..... and everything was ice cold! clearly prepped in the afternoon, everything left to dry out and minimal attempt to heat before serving. what a disappointment for my 24 guests and an embarrassment for me. wont be using them again.

i have been here a few times now and every time im so happy that i were. the food is always damn good and the staff is also really accommodating and friendly. this is the place that i send everyone too to have an amazing evening. just superb!

if i could would get married here again. i just could not have asked for a better place to join my love in hand of marriage than this place. the food was stunning and everyone really enjoyed it.

as far as restaurant and customer service goes i have never had such a bad service as the one i recieved yesterday at blos cafe.
we booked a specific 5 seater table, and upon our arrival the table that had been reserved had been given to someone else. they searched the deck for a table, found a 4 seater and just added a chair. i complained and said no, this isn't a 5 seater at all, we are also a family all over 6foot, it's called leg room and just general space! the manager and waiter assured us that the couple sitting next to us was leaving soon and then we could join the tables. a second manager then came and apologized and assured us the same thing. when the couple left we got up to join the tables and bam the first manager was showing a new couple to the table, and this couple got extremely rude, swearing, shouting and making a scene when we told them we had been assured by both managers of this table. the first manager stood there, mouth gaping and saying nothing. i mean how hard can it be!!!!!! oh yes and then the food. we had literally just received our starters, i was on my first mouthful, when the waiter says that the kitchen is plating up our mains to bring. we said no, we have literally just gotten our starters, and a starter is generally there to have before a main, followed by a little break before the main. the waiter said well sorry your food will get cold then. all 3 of our burgers were also lacking in sauce...it truly was an instance of spot the sauce if you can.
after such a shameful, annoying, irritating and drawn out table mess up, that happened twice in one seating because of the incompetence of the managers and waiters, no recompense was made. absolutely shameful.. i don't know how your restaurant runs, but i should be ashamed to bring anyone here again.

ordered a whole brownie cookie dough cheesecake for a family function.

at the function when cutting and serving the cake was burnt to the degree that it had a distinctive comparison to burnt toast.

what a shame and embarrassment at the function not able to serve dessert to the guests.

returned the cake to blos where staff did apologise but could not do a refund using the speedpoint and i had to provide my banking details.

more than a week passed without receiving a refund.

i had to call blos to follow up (should not have been necessary) only to be told my banking details have been lost.
i was also then informed that payment are only made on wednesdays so i would have to wait another week...

was very disappointed in an otherwise good establishment.

but a restaurant is only as good as its last meal.

went for lunch with my family over festive season. 7 of us. had drinks at the table only to be told 30 minutes later that our table had been reserved (no reserved sign), no waiter had come and mentioned this to us or our waiter. so had to move. really bad service. disappointed as used to be one of our favourite restaurants. won't return in a hurry. although food is great. pity.

absolutely love blos cafe . it’s beautiful layout between the trees and nature makes for a peaceful and relaxing vibe . the food is very tasty and they often have great specials running . definitely a must try .

a wonderful overall experience. the restaurant is positioned among trees adding a relaxing ambience.

the food options are broad and there is a wonderful selection for vegetarians and vegans. the food was tasty!

overall a great experience, i will be back.

i am so disappointed. decided to get just a take-away from blos tonight. service was good no issue there, but 1) the price on the zomato site for their beer board is r86. when i got there it was r110 - surely if you have a price change you should update your menu on the sites you are listed on.
2) i asked for the option of veggie chips, and no potato wedges - what i received were potato crisps - suppose those are veggies but why advertise veggie chips when you are just going to give potato crisps? 3). on the menu is grilled bratwurst - what i got was most definitely not bratwurst and not grilled but deep fried meat of some sort. 4) the beer bread tasted like soil! on the upside, the onion rings and ribs were tasty and it is a nice large portion. then the cherry on the top 5) the charge on the slip was r110 (more expensive but i didnt query just thinking its a price increase ... but when i got home and my bank sms came through for my card payment, the waiter had put through a full r200 on my card. thats almost double what the meal even costs!!!! yes i should have checked there and then but hey, didn’t think they were so dishonest. truly disapointed and sad that this is what one now get’s from my previous beloved blos cafe 😰

blos is one of my favourite little gems to go to, be it for dinner or brunch, all their meals are winner and they cater for vegetarians really well.

amazing view on the deck, super service, as a banter i ordered the taco bowl , absolute winner, my father ordered a yummy hamburger, but now the reason for my 5 star rating ... my mother recently left hospital and may not eat solid food ... nothing on the menu was suitable .. friendly waiter called a manager .. discussed what food my mother could eat .. came out with a perfect strained butternut soup .. what stunning service .. making a soup that's not on the menu ... good food matched by good customer focus .. will definitely visit again

love this place! great staff and management team! good for casual dining or events. i had a big birthday celebration at the venue and the staff were extremely accommodating. service can be a bit slow at times, but 99% of the time the experience is great, and so is the food!

went there for lunch and it was wonderful. they were friendly, the food was delicious and in the back area it feels like you’re in the middle of a forest. great, relaxing atmosphere!

unfortunately if one of the personnel treats you in an unprofessional and distasteful manner after doing business with them, it leaves you with an overall bad experience of the restaurant.i would suggest that management look into matters like these because the food was good and the waiter went out of his way to help us.

i’ve been to blos cafe a couple of times and i really enjoy it, however the last time was disappointing. the waiter disappeared on us after the drinks order and the new waiter got my order wrong. apart from that the food is great and the outdoor seating is very enjoyable!!

we had he bobotie burger and the fig-bacon- brie burger... both were to die for. chips are thin and delicious. we are happy campers and will definitely be back. service was excellent, order delivered to specification. clearly the patties are homemade as advertised
