i'm a bit torn about this place. last month my family ordered a whole pie and it was amazing! today i ordered 2 slices and must say i was disappointed. i ordered a supreme slice, and while the crust and size were great, thetoppingswere not. my supreme pizza only had pepperoni, bell peppers, bacon, and pepperoni and the onlytoppingsthat weren't literally falling off like they were put on after cooking was done. not to mention that the bacon was tasteless and burned. i just recently moved here and can't seem to find a pizza slice worth my time!

the pizza is good, but it's served on very thin crust. the portions are huge! we got the meat pizza and thetoppingswere very tasty and fresh.

good stuff. like many people i discovered this place via man vs food. though i generally do food challenges i did not do the carnivore. but my party and i did have a giant pizza. the crust andtoppingswere excellent. the atmosphere of the place was pretty fabulous as well.
i look forward to going back and facing the carnivore some day.

i'm addicted. great pizza, good price, friendly faces. the $$ rating is misleading. lunch special is a huge slice (bigger than your head) with 2toppingsand a fountain drink for $5.

pizza has potential... restaurant seems to be known for the size of their pizzas. they are pretty tasty - but i find thetoppingskind of skimpy. on my last trip there i got a 16 inch (called a medium but it's their smallest) with 4toppings(pepperoni, black olives, onions and spinach) - cost about $18. it's big but it had about half the amount oftoppingsthat pizza hut or poppa john's would have had.
if their claim to fame - the carnivore - has the same ratio oftoppings- it can't be much of a challenge to eat.

tops in kennesaw. frankly, saying you have the best pizza in kennesaw isn't saying much, since most of the offerings are rather blah. however, big pie offers a pretty good pizza.
with it's minimalist decor, big pie won't win any awards for best atmosphere, but the pizza makes up for it. thin-crusted with a light layer of tangy sauce, and not overburdened with excess cheese, the pizza is consistently good. there are a wide range oftoppingsto choose from, and they will happily divide your pizzzatoppingsup across the pie.
since their great pr hit with man vs. food, business has soared. i am happy to report that the quality still remains, although wait times can be long. service is generally pretty good, although i have experienced a few minor hiccups in the past.
price? well, the pizzas are big, and a large pizza lasts my wife and i two meals, easy, so there is some value. the lunch special of one slice (they are huge) with twotoppingsand a drink for $5.00 is a great deal and a perfect-sized lunch.
overall, i would make big pie my rec for the best pizza in kennesaw.

bpits. with all the hype surrounding the man vs food coverage you can expect a wait while getting your pizza. i went on 01/30/2009 and the wait was an hour. we decided to order and come back for a pick up. overall, the staff was great. considering the number of people trying to cram into the small dining room they were calm and polite. i don't think they anticipated the tv program having as big of an impact as it did. while we were in line to place our order, there were a few tables attempting the carnivore challenge. it is hard not to get caught up in the excitement. there are people standing around the tables watching and taking pictures. it is more of an event than anything else. if you are looking for a nice quiet place to take a date this is not the place. i am hoping they take over one of the store next to them or look for a larger local. i definetly think the pizza and atmosphere make the wait worth while.

on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best) i would give the pizza an 8. the sauce was light and had a great flavor. i am not a fan of heavy pizza sauce. the cheese was nice as well. not rubbery like most chain places. it reminded me of the pizza i would eat under the el in philly. other reviews i have read have knocked the pizza for sparsetoppingsand not being "real ny pizza." i did not find that the case. we had half plain and half pepperoni. there was a decent amount of pepperoni, but not too much where it takes away from the other flavors. i have never had "real ny pizza." if i were looking too i would go to ny. i am from philly and cannot find a decent cheese steak anywhere except philly. on the same note, i don't go in think i will. i went into big pie in the sky looking for decent pizza close to home and i found it.

i am going back tonight for a second try. i will update this review to discuss how the service has picked up to meet the high demand since man vs food stopped in.
