big pie in the sky pizzeria

i'm a bit torn about this place. last month my family ordered a whole pie and it was amazing! today i ordered 2slicesand must say i was disappointed. i ordered a supreme slice, and while the crust and size were great, the toppings were not. my supreme pizza only had pepperoni, bell peppers, bacon, and pepperoni and the only toppings that weren't literally falling off like they were put on after cooking was done. not to mention that the bacon was tasteless and burned. i just recently moved here and can't seem to find a pizza slice worth my time!

they actually do have a slice worth repeat business. first of all though, the pizzaslicesare freaking huge! i was only able to finish one slice and my second fit in a box that holds an entire medium pizza, on its own. if your a big portion person, this is your spot. i went with a big group of friends on a friday lunch and the service was efficient. we all just ordered individualslicesand shared our various flavors. the carnivore can be ordered in slices, some friends ordered it. not only does it look unappetizing, but no one liked it at all. less is more here. the bbq chicken and buffalo chicken are tasty here too. the pizza slice that will make this place worth the drive for me however was the pesto sauce pizza with chicken and cream cheese on top. it was the first time i ever tried that combination and it was seriously good. the pizza here is big but overall nothing special taste wise, but that chicken cream cheese pesto pizza is outstanding. try that here and you too may find its the reason to really come back.

seriously disappointing. i had been looking forward to trying big pie in the sky for months, since seeing it on man versus food. i had heard rave reviews from friends about the size of the slices, and couldn't wait to check it out for myself.

disclaimer: i don't eat dairy. this has never stopped me from ordering pizza at any pizza place. i always order my slices/pies/etc cheese free with double sauce. everywhere has always been very accommodating.

i tried to order myslicesfrom big pie this past weekend, only to be told by the counter girl that the pies already have cheese on them. what? she did suggest that maybe i would like to have breadsticks for dinner. yes, because breadsticks are a filling meal.

really disappointed with this place. i was so confused by the entire thing that i just left. i've never heard of a place that pre-assembles all of their pizzas for a night and can't make specialty slices.

not the best pizza but it's okay.. after seeing this place on man vs. food i was ready to go and tear it up. i've been a couple times now and the pizza is really nothing special. theslicesare huge and you can get them pretty much anyway you want. the couple of times we've gone we just feel underwhelmed afterwords.

big pizza!!. thesliceshere were big! the wait was a little long to get a slice, but when i did get it, it was delicious! their biggest pizza is huge!

a big surprize. the main reason i wanted to eat there was because it was features on man vs. food. the pizzaslicesare huge, and the entire pizza pie will feed a family... of 8. i'm from long island and i can be a little critical of pizza. the pizza tastes pretty good, not great, but the price is right. i would probalby go back. i think the novelty is great and the place kind of has the ny pizzaria feel to it. overall i like it.

undecided. my friends and i tried this place because we heard of the famous "carnivore challenge". we didn't order the "carnivore challenge", but did order the large carnivore pizza (same diameter, however not as heavy with toppings). it took four of us to almost finish the pizza (roughly 2slicesa person), however each of us were full after just one. the pizza was good after 1 slice, but by the second the salty taste was over powering and we had to remove most of the toppings. i suggest order something other than the carnivore, which is sodium-loaded because of its five meat toppings.

~cd~. saw on man vs food. the carnivore pizza challenge. 2 people have to eat a 30 inch 11 pound pizza with 5 types of meat on it. you have 1 hour and you win $250. over 500 have tried and no one has ever finished. they have giganticslicesof new york style thin pizza. medium is the smallest size pizza you can get and its $12.50 large is $15 and xl is $25.

great pizza. the restaurant feels a little depressing, but we get carry-out every once in a while and it is really great pizza! the individualslicesare huge!

slices as big as your head! that’s their tagline at big pie in sky pizzeria. and they aren’t joking around. matter of fact i think theslicesare bigger than the average person’s head. the diameter of their xl pie is a whopping 30 inches.

great pizza. the service and food here are great. you get to order exactly what you want. theslicesare at least the size of a regular medium pizza anywhere else. great value.
