tammy -l thanks...i did tell a guy and he gave me this long story how the pizza was made and i said ok i just dont want my pizza burt snd the crust hard like cardboard.

dirk tendick -so did he not get you another one after you talked to him? i just want to make sure i understand. a lot of people aren't used to pizza cooked on a stone oven instead of a conveyor so i'm sure that's what he was trying to say. but if you weren't happy he should have fixed the problem. if he did not please let us comp your next meal

tammy -no: i said that before we ordered the pizza because in the past they have burnt it. i didnt ask for an explanation.. i looked at other pizzas in the restaurant and they were all burnt. i just dont like the crust there.

dirk tendick- i suppose that's what he was trying to explain, is that they are not burnt and we stay extremely busy for a reason. people don't like burnt pizza and we don't serve burnt pizza, your opinion is just different than what ours is. the cracker like crust is the nature of cooking it on a stone oven which is true pizza, not the crap you get here in the south on a conveyor belt. if you prefer the other one then you should probably stick to that

i'm addicted.greatpizza, good price, friendly faces. the $$ rating is misleading. lunch special is a huge slice (bigger than your head) with 2 toppings and a fountain drink for $5.

not at all what we expected. my girlfiriend and i were visiting atlanta and had watched the carnivore challenge a few times. she was much more excited than i was to go but i did want to experience their huge pizzas. we got there and the place was much smaller than what we assumed. stepped in and there was no rhyme or reason as far as what to do to get a seat or where to go to order. once we figured that out, we were still reluctant to have a seat b/c there was a group pouring in and hogging all of the "many" tables. it seems as though the restaurant would better manage their limited space and seating for customers who have been there. we finally ordered after being quite annoyed and had to sit at a small bar area, only to have 2 guys breathing over our heads trying to decide which beer they wanted and watching the game. now for the pizza, yes it was huge but the taste was not as good as we would have liked and the crust was soggy. not at all the experience we wanted and i know we will not be going back...... downer!!!! if you wanna trygreatpizza in atlanta, please try ray's pizza in alpharetta. 10 out of 10!!

i love pizza and this place hasgreatpotential but, does not come close.

a big surprize. the main reason i wanted to eat there was because it was features on man vs. food. the pizza slices are huge, and the entire pizza pie will feed a family... of 8. i'm from long island and i can be a little critical of pizza. the pizza tastes pretty good, not great, but the price is right. i would probalby go back. i think the novelty isgreatand the place kind of has the ny pizzaria feel to it. overall i like it.

not a traditional ny style pizza in all respects, the pies here still come loaded with fresh flavors and very tasty toppings.greatvalue for the amount of pizza you get. the extra large isgreatto buy for parties: a true conversation piece.

tops in kennesaw. frankly, saying you have the best pizza in kennesaw isn't saying much, since most of the offerings are rather blah. however, big pie offers a pretty good pizza.
with it's minimalist decor, big pie won't win any awards for best atmosphere, but the pizza makes up for it. thin-crusted with a light layer of tangy sauce, and not overburdened with excess cheese, the pizza is consistently good. there are a wide range of toppings to choose from, and they will happily divide your pizzza toppings up across the pie.
since theirgreatpr hit with man vs. food, business has soared. i am happy to report that the quality still remains, although wait times can be long. service is generally pretty good, although i have experienced a few minor hiccups in the past.
price? well, the pizzas are big, and a large pizza lasts my wife and i two meals, easy, so there is some value. the lunch special of one slice (they are huge) with two toppings and a drink for $5.00 is agreatdeal and a perfect-sized lunch.
overall, i would make big pie my rec for the best pizza in kennesaw.
