ben's burgers

yum, yum, yum! one of the best burgers i've had to date. each time i've been here it's always delicious. simplicity at its best! the menu may appear simple but it is really worth it!

so incredibly disappointed with my first (and only) visit. had heard so many good things about ben's burgers, but they didn't match my experience.

wasn't very hungry but really fancied some hot chips on my way home from a late meeting. so ordered the $4 side of fries plus $1 aioli to take away, and paid $5. waited for about 12 minutes and couldn't understand why, when they could just cook my chips when they were cooking chips for meal orders made before mine. also the place wasn't full. finally got my order, quickly checked in the bag that my sauce was there, then continued my walk home.

it was another 15 mins before i went to eat my chips, but to my surprise when i opened the box it was loaded chilli cheese fries. initially i thought 'hey, i got a more expensive order but paid for just regular fries - bargain!'. but that thought very quickly disappeared. what i fancied, what i wanted to eat, what i had ordered were just regular fries. i didn't want chips with stuff on it. and more than that, i can't really eat cheese because it often makes me ill! so i couldn't even eat them anyway!

i did try a taste just out of curiosity, as it was far too late to go back and complain by that point. the chilli wasn't even nice! it was dry, with not much flavour and the whole combination was overly salty (do they put salt on the chips as well as the chilli & cheese?!).

needless to say my whole first time experience was frustrating and incredibly disappointing. and i tried immediately putting my comments on facebook to register my complaint, only to discover that no-one can see posts made by customers. so no-one can see any negative feedback on their page. clever!

delicious burger, lush milkshakes and easy service. i eat food and can confirm this is food i will eat again. also nice coffee - great for lunch times and casual evening meals.

not sure what the hype is but the burgers aren't great nor are they terrible. similar to a burger you'd make at home. there's better options in the area.

absolute perfection. perfect size. perfect taste. people who complain about their no alteration policy are stupid. people expect too much these days! this was amazing and will eat there again and again. simple and yummy and their homemade cherry cola was devine

really not a fan of their 'no alterations' policy. i could have lied and said it was a food allergy, but they believe they have perfected the burger so i tried it their way.  definitely not perfection.  good, but not great and overpriced for what you get.  best burger in fortitude valley for my $ is greaser.

great menu choices gives you a very easy time to choose from the three options. amazing chips and options for sides and drinks. beer is available and would be a great dinner location before hitting up the valley.

cheese burger best i've had in brisvegas! chilli cheese fries just the right amount of chilli (and i like it hot!), plus the home made cherry cola hit the spot. oh yes i will be back :))

koko likes this place. old school burgers with chips and beer. good value. cool tunes. follow koko's advice and get in there soon. you won't be disappointed.

juicy burgers always had at bens burgers... and whilst it may not be massive in size it is there with being flavoursome. service wise is a bit meh. overall - it is not bad, however unfortunately for us it's not one we would run back to

i like that this place offers a simple menu. a good kitchen, in my opinion, sticks to the dishes that they do best, and in this case it is the burgers. reasonably priced too. burgers are super filling but they're honestly lacking some flavour. they're on the cusp of tasting a little bit dull so if i come back i'll definitely need to chuck on some jalapeños and bacon. shakes + seating are a bit meh. overall good experience!

this place is great i love the whole vibe of the place... it's kind of got a nostalgic milk bar vibe to it. i got the classic and it was great

it’s a big call, but at winn lane in the valley you will be served one of the best burgers in brisbane. whilst a week seems to not be able to pass at the moment before another new burger joint pops up, ben’s burgers proves to be a breath of fresh air by taking a back-to-basics approach.

love ben's and would rate their delicious burgers amongst the best cheeseburgers in brisbane. they don't allow alterations to the menu which i think is fine as they have worked hard to perfect their burgers and don't want anyone messing with them :) it is on the pricier side especially the milkshakes, which are delicious but basically $100000 (they're $8).

i actually wouldn't rate them as the best burgers in brisbane but they are definitely one of the best (i think it was the bun late on a sunday). i love how they do one thing and do it well. it speaks volumes about a place that can keep its menu simple
