stylish restaurant in every way. i dined at the belvedere bar and grill on friday 28th septemeber with 5 others. we were greeted by the very affable host cosimo. we enjoyed cocktails at his beautiful bar and followed up with dinner. the meal was delicious especially the chocolate tasting plate which was to die for. i would also like to commend the table service. unfortunately i don't know the name of the waiter but everyone's meal arrived at the table at the same time which is a rarity when there is large party of people. the decor is spectacular particularly the chandelier made of wine glasses. i would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a special night out.

appetite satisfied. a classy, yet relaxed, bar and grill, turning it in to a well-rounded night out. go there for a meal, dessert, or just a drink - whatever you want to do. everything down to the lighting and use of space is perfect! i think the footy was on too, from memory. everyone's happy!!! awesome menue. the friendly (and *wink*) staff suggested the spare ribs to me. tick. hubby devoured a steak. he wouldn't let me steal any, so it must have been fantastic. so... tick! we had the doughnuts and sticky date for dessert. donoughts are awesome!!!!! and so is their take on a lemon lime and bitters - lots of places manage to stuff those up. not belvedere bar and grill. no stuffing up done there. thanks guys! we will be coming again :d

belvedere experience. been to belvedere bar & grill on a number of occasions. has a great formal atmosphere while also allowing you to feel relaxed and generally enjoy your time there with friends or family. may seem a little cliche but the staff really do make you feel welcome and are positive and attentive. we have always had a good time when we are there so we selected it to host our end of season rugby union formal dinner and awards night. the function room catered well and they put together a package for us which covered entrees and meals for 40 plus. everyone had nothing but nice things to say about the evening. i would definitely reccommened it to anyone it ticked all the boxes for me.

thank you for your feedback , but i would appreciate more honesty from you , if you had spent $ 3000.00 in my restaurant you would had been very full from over-eating or very happy from over-drinking (which would not had have happened) .the average spending in my restaurant is around $ 55.00 per person for food only. are you sure that you were at belvedere bar & grill at portside ???

fabulous experience. one of the best (if not the best) dining experiences i have ever had. amazingly swift and friendly service, lovely atmosphere from the pre-dinner drink in the bar through to the spacious seating in dining area - but the food was the standout. as one of my party said "every other meal i have will have to be measured against this". breads and dessert were delicious but my main of lamb was to die for. we will all definitely be back with family and friends.

first class dining. went for a going away dinner party. was the best steak i have ever eaten. my 8 month old daughter joined us as the staff were so accommodating in every way to heating up bottles and supplying dishes for baby food.
the outdoor dining area was perfect for a warm spring night, the wait times were sufficient worth the wait however. you must not pass up dessert as it whatever you have will just melt in your mouth.
all round it was an absolutely fantastic night, will definitely make it a regular eating place.

great atmosphere and amazing food! i didn't even need my steak knife - the meat was falling off the bone and the zucchini flowers were so flavoursome! i'll definitely be back.

classy restaurant for classy portside wharf. i subscribed to urbanspoon just to post this review. i have been to this restaurant several times and every time it has exceeded my expectations! i ́s a perfectly classy restaurant in a modern and trendy area. every time that i go there the staff are always smiling and attentive. i was there on saturday and i followed their reccomendations- i had an entree of the oysters from coffin bay and as a main i had the dry aged beef. everything was so genuine and you could really taste and appreciate the high quality of the products. it ́s just newly opened but in my opinion it promises to be a top steakhouse in brisbane...finally.

very enjoyable sunday. my husband and i went for a late lunch to belvedere on sunday and sat on the outside decking. the decor is lovely and the staff were very efficent and friendly, just as we finished our lunch we had the pleasant surprise of live jazz music starting so we moved into the bar area for another couple of drinks and to listen to live music as we watched the sun set over the river. having worked in the restaurant business for a while we both think the place is doing extremely well especially when you consider they have only been open for about 3 months. food stanouts were the pork belly for my husband and the chocolate fondant for myself but all the food was really good, and hey if it's good enough for the all blacks then it's good enough for us we'll definately be back.

disappointing... the restaurant lost our booking and could only find a table in the bar area, we resorted to topping up our own wine all night and the meals came without cutlery. when we tracked down a waiter and requested cutlery, the wait staff took a long time to bring it out and then just dumped a plate of cutlery (no napkins) on our table and promptly left. the only redeeming feature was the spanner crab dumplings, the rest of the food was average, and the clafoutis arrived uncooked and runny. there are so many decent restaurants in brisbane to choose from... this isn't one of them.

it was my 2nd visit, last time the food was good (except the steak), but this time the dumplings left a yucky taste in my mouth and even the soft shell crab didn't taste good. ridiculously overpriced for what you get. take the feedback belvederes, that is a consensus on most reviews, drop your prices and own up to the fact that you aren't five star, but maybe three on your best day.

average to say the least. went there for a birthday lunch with a group of people and left with a sick feeling from all the fried oily asian meets cow food. not to mention our $3000 bill for 10 people. service was also pretty bad as it took at least 10-20 minutes for any 1 request (sparkling water, a new set of cutlery). i understand teething for new resturant but its been open for agers now. much improvment needed belvedere!!

needs work. really awesome setting you would think you can't go wrong. but the food really does need to be at least half as good as the atmosphere. i guess it goes reasonably close to halfway overall but seriously a $45 steak that comes out medium to well when the order was for rare with a few kipfler potatoes is a bit ridiculous. an offer of coffee to compensate is downright insulting. i do love the setting so will probably come again, but my fellow diners aren't keen to do so. and waiters, don't lean across diners pointing at them when taking orders. it's rude in any environment.

disappointed. we dined with friends recently and found the meals to be a bit confused asian meets cow, the service was a bit over the top especially from the older italian guy, drinks expensive not recommended.

great brisbane summer lunch place. really enjoyed the service, taste sensational menu, great ambience. we went through as many menu items as we could and we'll be back for more. really enjoyed the belvedere. i will be taking my premium clients here again! good job guys.
