absolutely horrible service by a waitress. we had to ask another waitress help us correct our order. our waitress said she was too busy with her other tables to go to the kitchen and fix an order. we also had to go up to the bar and ask for refills . when the waitress come to the table, she would drop off the food and turn around and leave even when we were speaking to her.

dinner. excellent service, excellent value, and excellent food. cheeseburger and the rueban sandwich was a+++++.

great food and people. as an out-of-towner working m-th nearby,this unique place quickly became my favorite in a town known for excellent food and people. the owner and his staff are always friendly, and the food is incredible especially for the price. the burgers, the chicken livers, and the beef skewers were my favorites and after a evening workout at the gym, it was always a real treat to come over and sit at the bar. miss it very much and often think of flying through memphis just to be there again.

burgers!!!. i absolutely love the burgers here! but i wouldnt order chicken tenders. nothing special. the service has always been great.

this place is no longer some charming hole in the wall, but is more like a dump. they seated me without bothering to tell me the ac wasn't working. it's 99 degrees out, people. poor bartender was wiping his forehead from the sweat. also, the light above our table flickered the whole time. 

unlike the much better belmont grill in germantown, this place doesn't have any real veggies. all your choices for sides or appetizers are various fried things, baked beans, onion rings, etc. the gtown location has real veggies! 

but most disappointing was my overpriced and overcooked french dip. $10 for the small boring, dry sandwich with a tiny bit of cheese and a little bit of slaw on the side? the server also disappeared on us. the tea was weak and didn't taste fresh. wish i had gone to huey's instead.

eh. i feel bad for writing about this place, but i would not rush to return. i saw other reviews and was hyped for some amazing food and was disappointed when i went. i ate a cheeseburger with a loaded baked potato as a side. my burger was average, nothing spectacular. and the pictures you see online make the baked potato look delicious...but mine was not. i asked for no onions and my waitress told me they premade them so i couldn't get onions removed. when i received it, you could tell it had been heated up. it fell apart when i tried to open it and it did not taste good to me. the boyfriend said his was ok, but he was also disappointed. i feel like this could be a hit or miss place. you should try it if you want! i just would rather not go back.

the best pub grub in memphis. i have never had anything other than good food at the belmont. the 2 plates that have kept me coming back for years are the kabobs and the ribs. noboby has a kabob with the flavor of the belmont on poplar at mendenhall ! even the belmont in gtown does not hold a candle to the food on poplar.

the burger is still the bomb. i like their consistent standards. still have never ordered anything else here but my friend ordered the spinach dip which came with chips. it proved the truth for me that one should only order the burger for true happiness at belmont. your mileage may vary but please deliver my thanks to the staff for the awesomeness of the burger.

ah that burger. i lunched here yesterday with a dear friend after some time away. well, heavens, their parking lot issue is pretty bad. still, the burger was amazing. i don't know about marrying it, but i'd have it for supper anytime i want a good hamburger. i just never have ordered anything else here. i guess its probably a good place for other things. who knows?

okay, i did think of a complaint. nah, nevermind. no complaints. how can anyone complain its too cold in summer in memphis?

another vote for the burgers. i have never ordered anything else here. if i want a good cheeseburger this is where i go. forget fast food. have a belmont burger. on occasion.

in the mood for a great burger, this is your spot. oh, and not your average potato skins - whole potatoes cut in half loaded with cheese and real bacon. good local spot and the service was great as well.

big food, big flavor and most of all, big service.

best burger. probably one the best, if not the best burger in memphis. saw a review where it was compared to huey's - that made me laugh. huey's is soooo overrated, and this burger beats them hands down. juicy, flavorful, big, and so tasty! their twice baked stuffed potatoes are also awesome.

there’s a bar in the middle of the restaurant several booths and tables set up around it. i really liked that they had lights strung up all around the restaurant and bar. christopher got the french dip sandwich which we both felt was so-so. not bad, but not something either of us would order again. i, however, got the belmont burger topped with swiss, bacon, and smothered onions and it was delightful! it was served on a grilled buttered french roll which just took it to the next level. this is one of the best burgers i’

the slaw and the rest of the belmont burger combined for a savoriness that delighted my taste buds.

belmont is a dark, dingy little memphis restaurant. it's been around forever. and every time i eat the belmont burger i want to marry it. seriously. it's like buttah. best burger in memphis.
