bellabellasalad is where it's at!. the best things aboutbellabella are the homemade sauces and salad dressings. the spaghetti and meatballs, bellabella salad, and bubble bread are family favorites. we avoid the baked dishes, because the quality has been really inconsistent over the years, but anything that is prepared fresh is guaranteed to make you smile!

we've all been there before. our toddler is doing really well in a restaurant and then all of the sudden she/he is having a meltdown. that happened to me today and the way i was treated atbellabella by the owners (marc and amy) still blows my mind! my 3 year old daughter (who is normally very good in a restaurant) was having a great time sitting next to her two 3 year old friends. the girls were all playing with slime that we gave them for entertainment while the three moms engaged with them and waited for our food to come. around the time our food came my daughter got upset and started to melt so my friend kim got up and took her outside to calm her down. while kim was outside i asked our waitress for my check and a box for my food and explained to her that my three year old is having a meltdown so i better take her home. the waitress was great and did what i asked. then kim came back in with my now much calmer daughter so i took her and she sat in my lap and seemed to be much calmer. she was great for a while but later something set my daughter off again and she started to cry so i tried to gather my things to leave and i was struggling but i managed to pick her and my bag up and start towards the exit. well as i walked i started to struggle to hold onto my daughter and my stuff (backpack and to-go box) because she was back to full meltdown mode, so i had to put her down for a moment to collect everything (she's 33 pounds) and she slipped away from me and ran back to the table where our party was still sitting. my friends saw me struggling so they told me to go put my stuff in my car and then come back to get her because it was clear that i was having a really hard time. so i did that. when i walked back intobellabella to collect my child a man who i would later learn was the owner, marc, walked up to me and got in my face and said very rudely "she's still crying" several times. i quickly got my little girl and headed toward the door. when i was almost to the door she again struggled out of my arms and started to have a tantrum on the floor. i picked her up again and the same man opened the door for me. i was grateful so i told him thank you. well he rudely told me that "you disrupted the whole restaurant."

bellabellalost my business today. be warned. they do not do well with handling family situations in their restaurant! i've never seen a situation handled so poorly.

my parents, for reasons known only to them, stubbornly refuse to move from the ice encrusted state of new hampshire. recently they ice-picked their way out of the frozen north and came down to celebrate a pair of grandchildren’s birthdays and visit their attorney sons. while in tallahassee they invited kirsten and me out for lunch. after whittling several places off the list we decided to paybellabella a visit for lunch.bellabella is located at 123 e. 5th ave. and after making a couple of wrong turns my mom and dad pulled into the parking lot. we were seated by the hostess in the front dining room, provided menus, and told our waitress would be right along. true to her word, she appeared moments later to take our drink orders and provide us with a list of specials. the front dining room atbellabella was welcoming. a dark wooden bar lined with high-back chair fills one side of the space. tables were thoughtfully arranged to provide enough privacy for good conversations. for more onbellabella read the full review on tallahassee.com . sweet tea & bourbon’s rating: atmosphere: a taste: a presentation: a service: a cleanliness: a price: $$ share this: share on facebook click to share on twitter

bellabellais a tallahassee favorite and i can definitely see the appeal. the service was polite and fast, the setting was cozy, and the food had enough cheese to satisfy any wisconsin native.

the parking was a little awkward to navigate and very dark as there are no lights in the back so i suggest getting there before sunset if possible (or parallel parking on the street if you are able - both physically and by availability).

we shared the infamous bubble bread and i must say that was my favorite part of the whole meal. the bread was warm, soft and fluffy on the inside, and slightly crunchy on the outside. the cheese atop the bread was perfectly prepared as well. everything i was hoping for.

i had cannelloni filled with cheese and covered in a red sauce while victor had manicotti with veal covered in alfredo sauce. they were both yummy, but nothing mind blowing here.

the salads, however, were awesome! the caesar salad had fresh house made croutons that were to die for and the mandarin oranges and walnuts in the house salad were delectable. perfect combination of flavors in both.

i had a glass of italia ruffino moscato d'asti which was light, sweet, and amazing (forgive my poor wine grammar). victor had the hoddy toddy which was a surprisingly palatable apple, green tea, and bourbon mix. very strong though and served warm.

we finished off the night with creme brûlée that was great! i was kind of hoping it would still be warm, but i'm not sure what the typical serving style is supposed to be.

overall a great experience, but pretty pricey. it was a nice date night but i will probably not frequentbellabella based on entrees alone. i'm sure the specials had more to offer (but carried a heavier price tag, too).

former customer. my wife and i have been loyal customers for years and have enjoyed every meal. we especially looked forward to walking over after our massage at lilly's spa located behindbellabella. however, we recently were rudely informed by a man in the parking lot that we were not allow to park in their lot and it was forbellabella customers only. after explaining to the man that we would be walking over for a meal after our massage, he insisted that we move our vehicle and could move it back the 15 feet once we were ready to dine. this is no way to treat customers and unfortunately, we will not be returning tobellabella anytime in the near future.

cute indie place. i pretty much enjoyedbellabella. it was pretty empty when we went in the late afternoon. the waiters and the general atmosphere was sorta indie hipster. the specials change for each meal, which they hand write on a giant chalkboard wall. prices were decent and so was the service. the inside looked a like rustic, kinda old and run down, like you would imagine the streets of italy to look like. i guess that's what they were going for.

my boyfriend and i shared the chicken pesto melt sandwich and the sicilian lasagna. in my opinion, the lasagna was slightly above average, using fresh ingredients. i really enjoyed the chicken sandwich. all of the ingredients were very fresh and the bread was very tasty. the piece of chicken was a good size, juicy and flavorful. i'm glad we finally tried this place and we'd go back again.

hit or miss. first time i went my expectations were high and i was disappointed. i have been a few more times though and i think i've figured out what i like and what to order. they say that the marinara sauce is homemade, but i'm not sure. pretty bland. the more complicated the dish, usually the better. however if a restaurant can't do it's signature dish well... hmm. service is always spectacular and in general my experiences have been good. of course much better than any chain italian place in tally. if you're looking for italian, givebellabella a whirl.

good but oily. i really enjoyed my dinner atbellabella. i had manicotti and it was cheesy, browned just enough to give it a little umph, and the filling was phenomenal. the only issue i had was that it was floating in oil from both the cheese, meat, and olive oil it was prepared in. i was reminiscent of the times you want to dab your pizza with a paper towel. only this was manicotti, so i couldn't.

uh oh.... at one point, prior to their expansion and renovations, i likedbellabella. it was quaint, and you could tell they put some effort into the food. they were staffed by what looked like the restaurant's owners, manager, family, friends, etc. no longer. it is now staffed by young kids who put little effort into creating a good dining experience (i witnessed many of them goofing around and yukking it up with each other). the food now tastes microwaved, and it came out cold. i took my wife here on a date, and it ended up being a mistake. shame.
