visiting in town, was seeking a nice quiet italian meal. this spot ended up being more of a quasi-bar scene, quite loud, much more so than expected.
i had eggplant parmigiana, which proved to be several wafer thin slices of eggplant stacked with sauce and cheese. net result was 60% breading, 40% eggplant and sauce. hard to know the eggplant was there unless you really looked.
menu was very rigid, no room for sauce substitutions or the like. all very inflexible. that's atypical of most small italian restaurants, which pride themselves in accommodating guests. waitress was ok, but had too many tables to be truly focused.
last straw was i was seated by a door that let in tons of cigarette smoke every time it was opened; smoking obviously allowed in outside dining area.
i guess a good time could be had here with a group, but definitely not you typical quiet and authentic italian restaurant. rating was very misleading for me.
