i have to admit, it's very hard for me to want to eat italian in tallahassee. to me, italian food is winter food. i just really can't bring myself to eat hot, rich, saucy food when it's just as hot outside. but don't get me wrong, i'm an italian girl and

burnt garlic. i must say i was terribly disapointed. this place came highly recommended by a friend, but the service was sub-par and my pasta tasted like burned garlic. i had to go home immediately and brush my teeth.

small and tasty. great non-chain italian food with great atmosphere. at lunch the restaurant is bright with natural light, dinner lowers the lighting to make it mellow and romantic. service can be slow, so be prepared to relax with a glass of wine and some bubble bread. it's fabulous. menu is a mix of classics and more inventive dishes. my lobster ravioli was very good.

this place has it all: great food, great atmosphere and a great staff. i am so glad we made a wrong turn and ran into this very pleasant surprise. thanks to bella bella for a great detour on our way home to alabama.
