belgian cafe - intercontinental hotel

we came for the extended happy hour on sunday and enjoyed great beers and tasty mussels. the vibe is nice and chilled. the happy hour made it very good value for money. we were served by ravi who took really good care of us.he demonstrated intuitive service and made sure that every need was catered for. he deserves to be commended for the excellent service he delivers. thanks ravi, we'll be back soon i'm sure!

a beautiful looking pub with a traditional feel. the beer choices here are understandably belgian centric but luckily they have a massive selection! get in for a pint with your friends and try a bucket of muscles!

a great place where you can catch up with friends specially when the weather is good to sit outdoors. we ordered a wagyu beef burger, that was not special but not bad as well. the service was slow but the staff was trying to help.

a place where you can have a fun outing with your mates specially when it is possible to sit outdoors and have some food or/and some drinks while the jams are playing.
the food is good even though the portions aren't satiating
i don't drink alcohol but by the feedback of the drinking crowds they sound decent enough.
one of the major downsides of this place is that it's on the high end of price tags so go there well prepared to break the bank a bit.

great place to catch up with friends or colleagues. outdoor seating is perfect when the weather is nice and the view of the marina tops it all off. drinks and food has always met the standards, never a disappointment

we had the traditional brussels waffle. just the right amount of powdered sugar and very light with the right amount of crispy/fluffy texture. it came with whipped cream and strawberry. sooooooo good! packed full of sweet strawberries and yumminess! baileys creme brûlée is also worth the try. #zomato

visited beligian beer cafe a couple of times.a great place for a chilled out evening.the weather is getting better so we had a quiet beer outside. i love the variety of beer specially the famous fruli (never has beer tasted this good to me! )  we only went there for drinks so ordered mussels in garlic butter and belgian fries.the mussels were good but the fries portion was a little too small (mostly 'cuz they tasted so good and i might be a little greedy for them ;) ) the service is alright and i'll definitely recommend a visit there specially in winter!

good food, and a very appetizing menu. the mussels here are delicious. though the place isn't cheap, easily 350 a couple, it's worth the treat. i wish service was a bit more friendly.

don't bother ordering coffee though, its shockingly bad. the deserts make up for it though.

my first time here. however its a very friendly and welcoming place to spend a nice peaceful evening food was delicious and the view was wonderful. special thanks to sheldon who made the evening really special for me and my friends as he suggested the perfect drinks and perfect snacks to go along with it.we are definitely coming back.

one of my best friends suggested this place. so finally went this weekend. as per the suggestion, we ordered a few pints of leffe blonde beer.

hands down the best beer i had in abu dhabi. so tasty and smooth!

we have about 15ppl dining here, first time in this restaurant, we ordered a lot of food for sharing and was too hungry and to take all the picture. i really like their mussels especially the garlic and cheese flavor make me wanna have more.

are you into ale, amber brew, barley pop,brewskis, brown bottle, hops, lager, malt,... call it what ever you want... they got them all imported all the way from belgium of course... and they do taste when ice cold. specially in this weather! but when i do enjoy it the most it's when served outdoors. with the nice view of the marina and the nice evening breeze. great atmosphere. cool staff! and last but not least great mussels have u not been to belgium yet?! this will give u a test of it... as they are as good as the once you will have there!! accompanied with their famous fries and mayo nothing you have else where!! that mayonnaise it's so gooood! guess it's made with a base of butter instead of oil. my option when i go there.. mussels, mussels and mussels... in cream, with garlic..., thai style you name it... they are all very tasty.

besides the mussels they do have a nice selection of typical belgian/flemish traditional dishes on the menu. and for you non adventurous eaters you will find a great crispy fish and chips on the menu. always a winner with most ppl and of course they got a hamburger too.

ps: menu changes time to time which i find really exciting when it happens... but don't u worry their signature dishes are always there ;) it's mostly the traditional dishes.

my last experience at belgian cafe had been much better, so i need to write another review. service was not good, but mussels were fantastic! and beer was served extremely cold, that's how it should be.

we went here on a friday marina bruch. i didn't miss to try their famous mussels with garlic sauce. it is tasty and you will taste the mussel-y taste in it's broth. we love it :)

the friday marina brunch at the intercontinental is like no other brunch in abu dhabi.  and it might just be the biggest party on the island...well, at 1pm on a friday.  all three of the intercontinental's restaurants situated on the scenic marina, fling their doors wide open, and spill out onto the waterfront as long as the temperature will allow. the marina brunch is busy, which really makes the brunch feel festive, but also requires just a tad bit of patience if you might need to wait just a few minutes longer for a freshly grilled prawn.
