belgian cafe - intercontinental hotel

this place has it all....great views, great location, great food, and a selection of beers to die for. food choices initially started with snacks purely to accompany the beer. we had the chicken brochettes, deep fried caulifower florets, cheese croquettes andmusselsin garlic and butter. beautifully presented and perfect with beer. naturally i had to try a selection of beers and started with duval followed by leffe blonde and then leffe bruhn....my favourite. my wife had apple floris and seemed very happy. before leaving my wife was still peckish and decided to go for themusselsprovencale...of course i had to help her finish...they were fantastic. we will definitely be going back. if you haven't been i strongly recommend you do.

the food here is very nice, although over-priced for what is especially decent pub grub. we came for the monday nightmusselsdeal, and i found myself ordering more just to get the special. the service was sketchy, i told the waitress i wanted the promo and at the end is was if i had never asked for it and the manager came over to speak with me, then he sent the waitress back over, all very odd. the manager then struck a 'deal' with me, really all i wanted was what i asked for. not sure i be back derfito

belgian beer caffe is a bar and restaurant for finger food like burgers , ribs , and my only reason why i came heremussels!! i can honestly say i enjoyed theirmusselswhile watching the match in my phone , it’s a great place to bring your friends and have a long nice talk overmussels.

the place is well decorated with a nice outlet , the service was a bit slow but the staff were very polite and they even brought for me another dish after i gave few notes about my order .

beautifull location with relaxing view on intercontinental marina. belgian cafe can be the preferred place for belgian beer lovers. also formusselslover. thai mussel is recommended also chicken breaded escalope & steak tartar.

well, this one is a hit for me... above all all when i go there with my mate al pacino, great food (of courses i will have to moan about something, or otherwise what the point of it !!!), great atmosphere, great hospitality... but, hold down a moment!!! is this place all about 🍻 and mussels... beers, definitely the best,mussels!!! definitely not the best... sorry but, i go diving to collect my livemusselsand cook them straight from the sea, and yes they taste a lot better, even without double cream and white wine !!! lol... salut...

a great selections and great place to unwind and relax after work with friends and family , the outdoor area have a unique ambiance and energetic vibes .all the staff are knowledgeable about the menu and service is impeccable .
food quality are outstanding, the pork was so tender and formusselsyou can choose various recipes , tasty and delicious .
definitely will return to this place! highly recommended!

we were staying at the intercontinental for the weekend and had dinner with friends at belgian. the food is the normal fare at belgian. good atmosphere if you are seated outside. it was cold and blowing so sat inside because of the kids. the service inside was not that great with us having to call for help each time. went with the signaturemusselsin garlic and cream. boys had the pasta and sliders. wife had the signature manwich. all good.

there are only few restaurants that serve pork in this part of the world and belgian cafe is one of those. situated in a fancy corner of intecon hotel, a dinner of pork festival and unlimitedmusselswas always good idea with a beer on the side. the pork was so tender with enough fat-meat ratio. you can choose from various recipes for the belgian mussels. will difinitely return to this place! recommended!

impressive selection of craft beers in this old school eatery at the legendary intercontinental hotel abu dhabi. they say the big bang theory was invented in belgium... well so was the triple karmeliet, a golden ale recipe handed down by local monks from the 17th century. rumor has it that the humble french fry, of which this eatery serves many, is also belgian, which are served alongside garlicmusselsand a few other house specialties. now abu dhabi ain’t dubai... truth is it’s even better. so if you’re in abu dhabi and want to catch up with a few friends over a few beers then the belgian cafe is a respectable option.

visited beligian beer cafe a couple of times.a great place for a chilled out evening.the weather is getting better so we had a quiet beer outside. i love the variety of beer specially the famous fruli (never has beer tasted this good to me! )  we only went there for drinks so orderedmusselsin garlic butter and belgian fries.themusselswere good but the fries portion was a little too small (mostly 'cuz they tasted so good and i might be a little greedy for them ;) ) the service is alright and i'll definitely recommend a visit there specially in winter!

good food, and a very appetizing menu. themusselshere are delicious. though the place isn't cheap, easily 350 a couple, it's worth the treat. i wish service was a bit more friendly.

don't bother ordering coffee though, its shockingly bad. the deserts make up for it though.

we have about 15ppl dining here, first time in this restaurant, we ordered a lot of food for sharing and was too hungry and to take all the picture. i really like theirmusselsespecially the garlic and cheese flavor make me wanna have more.

are you into ale, amber brew, barley pop,brewskis, brown bottle, hops, lager, malt,... call it what ever you want... they got them all imported all the way from belgium of course... and they do taste when ice cold. specially in this weather! but when i do enjoy it the most it's when served outdoors. with the nice view of the marina and the nice evening breeze. great atmosphere. cool staff! and last but not least greatmusselshave u not been to belgium yet?! this will give u a test of it... as they are as good as the once you will have there!! accompanied with their famous fries and mayo nothing you have else where!! that mayonnaise it's so gooood! guess it's made with a base of butter instead of oil. my option when i go there.. mussels,musselsand mussels... in cream, with garlic..., thai style you name it... they are all very tasty.

besides themusselsthey do have a nice selection of typical belgian/flemish traditional dishes on the menu. and for you non adventurous eaters you will find a great crispy fish and chips on the menu. always a winner with most ppl and of course they got a hamburger too.

ps: menu changes time to time which i find really exciting when it happens... but don't u worry their signature dishes are always there ;) it's mostly the traditional dishes.

my last experience at belgian cafe had been much better, so i need to write another review. service was not good, butmusselswere fantastic! and beer was served extremely cold, that's how it should be.
