good but small portions.... i will be honest i have never eaten here for dinner but we stop in for sunday brunch pretty regularly. the food is always good but i like to eat and therefore i usually have to order 2 entrees as the portions are not "man sized". so for a breakfast/lunch thing it can be pricey if you are hungry.greatatmosphere and service is usually pretty darn good.

review of beauty shop. experience was great! all employees are helpful and friendly from the hostess to all the servers to the bus people! didn't enjoy waffles and chicken but the presentation was nice and it's just something i didn't like. generous portions andgreatcoffee! i'd come again and bring out of town friends for this unique restaurant! 4 1/2 stars out of 5

great find 10 years later. went here once over 10 years ago and again last night while visiting family. had agreattime with good food and good service. the later kitchen hours on the weekend are a definite plus.

30 minute wait with no reservations which was not bad. waiter was knowledgeable. kitchen must have been backed up because it took nearly an hour for entrees. food was adventurous but didn't work as the pairings clashed in flavor and didn't seem well thought out. execution was off as well. the quiche? with the peking duck was refrigerator cold in the middle. we would have given the waiter a friendly heads up for future orders but he was no where to be found until the check. we are about as low maintenance of a customer as you can get and empathize with mishaps when a restaurant is having an off night... but this experience seemed like the status quo. not sure if overhyped or resting on laurels. too manygreatdining options available to risk another return.

jerk for a server. my friends and i made reservations and eagerly went to beauty shop. two of our group had been there previously and hadgreattime. one friend ordered a drink she had on a previous visit and the waiter, who was sloppy and unkempt, told her he would check and see if the bartender had the ingredients for that drink. he proceeded around the table taking drink orders and came back to the first person. she said she'd like to wait and see if she could get the drink she'd requested. he very rudely said, "what i'm saying to you that you're just not understanding is that that is probably not going to happen." we were all dumbfounded as this was not at all what he'd said! he left and then reappeared with the requested drink and sloshed it down in front of her without any explanation or apology, we decided to cancel our order and leave. as we left, we told the person who had seated us how rudely we were treated. his response? "interesting." the only thing 'interesting' to me was how that waiter keeps his job if he treats every customer that way. woefully disappointed

i went here with my boyfriend as an early valentine's day celebration. it was agreatevening. the cocktails were unique. i had the please please please. we had the fried calamari and zucchini as an appetizer, and the sea bass and pork chop for entrees. the food and service was perfect!

funky place with tasty food.greatlocation at the intersection of coopers-young. love the décor and history of the place. food is good albeit a bit pricey. been here a couple times early in the week and hardly anyone in the place (patrons or staff), which left it short on ambiance. homemade cakes, which i hear they get from a bakery in mississippi, are the perfect way to top off a meal here.

eat and it was delicious. the food is just superb, fresh and organic. this has to be one of the coolest places in memphis.greatatmosphere, wonderful date night spot, awesome drinks. the staff was very lovely and the owner is one cool classy lady.

best brunch in memphis!. i absolutely love their brunch. they make an amazing bloody mary, their beignets are to die for, and i'm crazy about their pork eggs benedict. my husband gets the chicken cob club every time. it's excellent! it'sgreatfor lunch as well. dinner is good, but a bit overpriced. go for brunch! you won't regret it!

a favorite lunch spot. this is one of my favorite places to eat at lunch time. the sandwiches (that include especially good chips and aioli) and salads are portioned well, but i have left hungry when ordering the entrees. my favorite menu item is the thai cobb salad which has an unusual collection of flavors with agreatbalance. it's pricey compared to a few other places, but the ambiance, service and quality of the food makes it agreatdestination. also, the crepes with nutella are awesome.

really cool. i live in louisiana and came here for a girls weekend with my friends. we heard about this place from a friend and we loved it. the atmosphere is really neat and it has a cool story.

we ordered some cocktails and they were really good. for our appetizer we got the grilled peaches and they were amazing.

our entrees were tasty as well, we tried their daily specials that the service was prompt and when we asked about places we should hit up while we were in town the staff was really accommodating. all in all this was agreatplace to eat!

i really like going here for weekday lunch. most everything under $10, not crowded,greatfood, can park not too far away. this place is very popular for dinner and brunch, but for some reason not busy for lunch. a new favorite.
