what is up with theribsfuss?. i keep hearing about how theribsare delicious! there good but nothing incredible.... the fries are delicious though! the atmosphere is very noisy, which i do not like but is not always a bad thing. the prices are a bit steep but still a descent place.

this is a review for the hunt club baton rouge.. sorry to post on the kanata one but i guess the one on hunt club doesn't want the truth or no one has added them since they're a fairly new location.

the service was decent.. the food the horrible.  i went with my gf and her two kids.. the kids menu has 4 options.. all unhealthy crap.    the kids chicken fingers were unseasoned/unflavoured garbage.  i ordered the 16oz ribs.. which were first of all over priced.. $28 before tax.   the top long rack ofribswere literally burnt to shit.. hardly any meat on them.. and they had the nerve to stick a 3 rack ofribsunderneath which were perfect.    my gf just ordered the spinach dip because there was nothing appealing to a vegetarian..  the dip was just goo and sweet crap - and they served it with tortilla chips..  a total disaster and waste of time.   dont be a sucker and enter this location.

it was good service, really busy for a tuesday. got theribsand thought they were well done. would go again. not a fan of the new logo outside. looks cheap.

prime rib was not the best .... prime rib was not the best
the special prime rib was very fatty and not worth the price. rest of meal was excellent though

not bad but not worth the money
service was excellent and the food was ok but a little pricey for what you got. the penne was normal but theribswere not special.

we finally redeemed a gift card after almost a year. i have to say that the service here was very good. no craft beers to speak of so i opted for water. two out of the four dishes served had to be sent back. the chicken strips arrived cold and the rib steak ordered medium rare arrived medium. the manager came to the table to apologise and rectified the mater promptly. to give them credit the steak would be fairly hard to get medium rare since it was only a quarter inch thick, no excuse for cold chicken tenders though. i lucked out this time and got a perfectly done inch thick medium rare piece of prime rib that was finished on the grill. my side of garlic mashed was a tad on the dry side and the veggies were overdone and mushy. the other meal ofribsand beans was a small portion and overly sweet and overdone. i came with low expectations from my last visit a few years back so i was surprised i was the one with the semi acceptable meal. mediocrity at its finest in kanata.

terrible food. we have gone to the baton rouge 3 times in the last 6 months and the food is terrieble. my steak was not cooked properly and the scallops i had were not fresh.

my son ordered chicken fingers and there was twice the bread than chicken and his fries were overcooked .

theribsmy husband ordered were so dry and had to use my steak knofe to cut through the meat.

two visits: two disappointing experiences. during the first visit the food was bad and the service too. the waiting time was long and theribswere smaller than usual, not meaty, and very dry. i asked 3 times for a piece of carrot for our 6 months old baby and i did not get it! unfortunately, we had to go back the next day for a business diner. then the rib steak was over cooked (instead of rare it was medium well), not tender, and did not have any flavor what so ever. nobody at the table was satisfied with the quality of the food and either with the service.

this is where people that don't have class go to pretend to be classy. beer selection is terrible.ribsmade me sick. another crappy franchise. stay classy by not eating here.

service was amazing. food was incredible. i had theribsand veggies, and wife had the filet, and it was cooked perfectly. servers are fast and friendly, and very accomodating. to each their own, however i'm not sure why all these other people are complaining. i suppose it's rare for someone to write in for a successful meal.

bar specials are the only way to go 15.99ribswith fries or burger with fries for 8.98

sideribsand chicken breast too dry.ribswas burnt and dry and chicken breast was also way too dry. for this price i expect it better. swiss chalet makes betterribsand chicken.

theribsare absolutely to dies for. fall off the bone and very tender. would recommend to anyone.

decent steak. i've eaten here a number of times and although it's a little pricy, it's a decent steak. i prefer the prime rib (grilled) over a steak but the steak is good as well. theribsare probably as good as they get in ottawa but that's not saying much. the side dishes are a little on the weak side which doesn't help the overall pricy perception. the desserts are better than average but not amazing. the service is good but it can vary a great deal from server to server. the team service approach can be a letdown.

rip off!. me and my wife have been to a lot of good restaurants in and around ottawa. we thought we would try a local chain restaurant. this place was more than dissapointing with our spinach dip app more like a bowl of soup, my chicken dry as a hockey puck, the bacon mashed potatoes were bland and missing the bacon and theribswere mediocre at best. we also went on a game night and were rushed out of the restaurant in under 30 minutes. we both wanted to have a few drinks following our meal but were presented the cheque before even finishing our meal. for a plate that was $26 this was way over priced as the local pub makes much better food.

dismal, inedible food, slow service. the only reason i can see people going to this restaurant is due to the proximity to shopping and movie theatre.ribswere way overcooked, mushy and tasteless. i love tenderribsbut they should still have some kind of meat consistency. maybe they were cooking them for toothless old people or babies but these were definitely the worstribsi have ever eaten.
