basil with a twist – checklist tick!

beginning of this year, basil with a twist was the first restaurant i went to. since it was pandemic, there were fewer people because of the compact space in the restaurant.

usually, before visiting any restaurant, i would run through the menu in the zomato app and the top dishes mentioned based on the reviews and decide what i'll eat or try at the restaurant, but i didn’t plan anything.

my friend suggested the dishes as she had been there before since we landed there pretty late. the cheesy chicken pepperoni pizza was appetizing, taste soooo good, and became my favourite dish at basil with a twist and pesto chicken pasta.

the quantity of both the dishes was tummy-ful. the drinks we ordered are cold coffee and a banana milkshake.
enjoy a fine-dine experience that is the perfectplacefor family and friends. lighting is subtle and pleasing, which gives a soothing feeling as you enter, clean tables and cutlery. i forgot to click pic of the ambience.

this is not my first time at basil with a twist and every time i visit this place,they just never let me down....one hell of an amazing place....u want the best pasta in chennai...best pizza....best steak....look no further...its right here...
and special mention about their too good to be true cheese cake...and the brilliant service by the staffs...

basil with a twist is a well furnishedplacefor a peaceful and comfortable dine. the restaurant is located at heart of the city. it concentrates more on european cuisine. ambiance was decent. went there for are a brunch. first, we ordered melting sensation and spicy potatoes. both were exceptional. later we ordered a veg harmony pizza that was very delicious with olives and jalapeños. loved the food we well as service. must try: melting sensation.
pros: location, taste, ambiance.
cons : price. (i would actually rate 5 if foods were of reasonable price.)

the restaurant is a goodplacefor its european cuisine. easy to locate and has a good parking space. it’s delicious with the price being little on the upper scale. i have been twice and the taste for the same items are different every time.

roasted pumpkin soup was great the first time and the second time, they screwed up completely. grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce is the best item they have. basil ratatouille is just fine. their chicken pizza is amazing to taste. chocolate moose for the dessert is a fine ending.

must try for their yokitori skewers from thier huge menu, though with their limited desserts, was happy about theplaceand service, happy dinner!!!

thisplaceis a little far from my place, but i have still visited it more than once. and would continue to do so.
absolutely love their pasta.
staff is very courteous too.

their arabiata pasta and veg harmony pizza were fantastic. loved all the appetizers especially their quesadillas. great ambience and polite staff. the owner of thisplacewas also very friendly. the lasagna was a bit too bland for our liking but everything apart from that was splendid. would totally recommend this place.

it’s a decent well furnishedplaceto have a peaceful dine.i went with my friends it's actually a romanticplacefor couples. they even offer for the candle light dine. we order 12" hand tossed chicken bbq pizza. they taste good but cost more for a single pizza is 770/- which we found more costly. we could have ordered more if the price was decent as the rate is too high we stopped with one dish. i would actually rate 5 if they have a reasonable price.

i can't ever get a lot of pasta.. and @basilwithatwist is amazing with the live kitchen. the senses are more active when you can see your food being prepared and thisplacegives you the opportunity.

i loved the pasta and theplacehas a cozy atmosphere with small candles on all the tables... do visit and let me know how you like it..

this restraunt has been bookmarked for long time.
me and my wife visited thisplacefor dinner.

ambience is 3/5 good not great
staff are little absent minded.(eome time they didnt notice us)

we ordered, 1 soup, 1starter and 2 main dish......

food rated as 3/5.......
portion is less,
taste is so blunt (may be my indian 👅 cannot recgniz taste)
and the bill is around 2000.

the experience at thisplacewas ok, but we missed something.

went there with high expectations since it was listed in romantic restaurants on zomato. it.was.anything.but.romantic! i had such a sad experience that i'm reconsidering my faith in zomato lists and ratings!

they seated us in the cornermost table next to a board covering something!!?? this was inspite of having enough tables vacant!
food was also meh at best! ordered the bbq chicken pizza and chicken yakitori. the pizza looked and tasted nothing better than domino's! the only thing worth paying for was the dark chocolate mousse. that was the only saving grace that day.
tl:dr if you want dark chocolate mousse, you should go there. theplaceis overrated and overpriced.

we had nice time as wholesome with gang of friends. pumpkin soup was bit different. white pasta and pizaaa in its own taste...we enjoyed pizaa with in whatever ingredients it was. yes, we can customise pizaa that's awesome.

we were greeted with courteous manager/owner with warm send off.

niceplacefor couples or friends looking for italian food....

after a long long time found aplaceas authentic to their core cousin, a very warm and inviting staff. thumbs up for service and food.

pls visit thisplaceof you are looking for a authentic italian food.

i went with a lot of expectations after seeing the reviews. but theplacedidn't meet my expectations. courteous staff and comfortable seating. but food was just average. pumpkin soup was bland. there was no salt. pizza was good. arancini, hummus/pita were average. garlic baby potatoes and veg pizza were good. but overall, i felt that theplaceis overrated.

food:
crispy garlic baby potatoes - mini potatoes covered with spicy crispy skin; pretty mild on garlic but was good with the dips
mushroom cream soup - disappointed with the consistency, too strong a flavour
indiana pizza - classic homestyle thick crust pizza; cheesy with loads of toppings, not spicy yet filling
pumpkin saffron risotto - saucy risotto with a hint of oregano and basil; cooked well but plain flavours fell just flat along every bite
panna cotta - i believe this should have been solidified with blueberry and sweet cream but the soft texture was missing in the vanilla scoop, just ok
baklava ice cream - flavourful nutty dessert with pista flavour all around; too good buttery flavour

ambience/price:
pretty spaciousplacewith decent seating space and parking facility. yet, the service was under par with long waiting times for almost anything and everything.
the decor was good but the restroom facility was a disappointment with quantity:price (q:p) ratio going down.
