basil bistro

place & ambience was average. vfm though theserviceguy did not adhere to our customisation & request. will not visit again

this is my second time dining at the basil bistro. i used pass by the restaurant often but it was a long time before i came to dine in here. i was delighted that it was up to my expectations. the place is perfect to come to with your loved ones. it has excellentserviceand a soothing ambience. the music which plays adds to the feel of the place. i would recommend a lunch here for anyone who asks me for recommendations.

we went in with high expectations, the ambience and food delivered. theservicewas extremely slow, to a point where we waited for 30 mins after our main course for another starter. the malai brocoli was definitely worth the wait. they did not ask if we have zomato pro, they should have. the ambience is comfortable, and the people are nice.

food is goodserviceneeds to improve.. i guess we came on wrong time with large group sitting beside us.. bit inconvenience but. never mind.. part of business... wings 4/5, pizza 3/5, ravioli 4/5, fish fingure.. 5/5, stuffed chicken 4/5. guys keep it up.. food is really nice must try..serviceis an opportunity... all the best..

a hustling place. loved the ambience & music.
we had...
1. mushroom soup - very very good. creamy mushroom soup & great flavour
2. paprika chicken pizza medium - good size and good taste.
3. smoked chicken ravioli - the dish was decent. we got it after 30mins hence may be not that good experience with it.
4. veg pasta spaghetti - great taste
but again, the delay almost blew us off...

i think a must visit place in hsr...servicecan be improved.

nice ambience with good music, one of the good sizzling brownies i have tried recently. also try death by wings for a spicy treat. little slowservicethough.

a quaint little place in hsr. absolute favorite for a couple night. live music adds to the taste. good food. scope of improvement inserviceis there

food is good. they make inhouse pasta which is good. ambiance is good,serviceis good. staff could not follow simple instructions though.

we went on a weekend and the place wasn't much crowded , the ambience is good . but the prep andserviceis very very slow . we ordered just two dishes and it took more than 45 mins for it be served . even on constant reminders, theservicewas damn slow . taste of the food is good but theserviceis pathetic .

i went out with my family after ages and basil bistro was our best choice in hsr! we ordered cilantro chicken, fish fingers for starters. it was 8 pieces each and the taste was fantastic! for main course, we ordered mutton rara and phulka. i'm not a big fan of mutton , but this mutton curry was yummmm! softest phulkas with hot mutton curry! the quality of the rice in the biryani was delicate and yum too! their blue berry cheese cake is to die for and sizzling brownie is awesome. the brownie was so soft and almost melted in our mouths. the ambience and staff our great. special thanks and cheers to abhishek. abhishek hosted us with great interest. he made us feel welcomed and advised us on the menu. hisservicewas impeccable. very courteous and gentleman like. will surely visit again.

after a long time i decided to go out and boy i am happy i chose this place. nice music, superbserviceand delicious food. i ordered three dishes and all of them were good!

one of the best restaurant which u can count on while looking for a family get together or for casual hangouts. very professionalserviceand the quality is something which needs special mention.

i and my wife, ordered gunpowder calamari and prawns as a starter, a meat overload pizza and a chicken steak as the main course. the calamari and prawn dish as well as the pizza was really good. now comes the problematic part. there were two big groups present apart from us. the gunpowder calamari and prawns and the pizza came pretty quickly(~10-15 mins). and then started the wait for my wife's food. after 20-30 mins of receiving the pizza, i decided to ask the server about the status of my order. to my surprise the server was slightly surprised and quickly went in the kitchen to check about the status. from what i understood, there was a goof up and our order was not being prepared in the kitchen. the waiter hastily came back and promised us that the order would be ready in 5 minutes. i was pretty sure that a steak cannot be prepared in 5 mins and i gave him the benefit of doubt by waiting patiently for another 15 mins. however, after this long wait, we started getting irritated as the two large groups were constantly getting their food on time one after the another while there was not even a hint of us receiving the food any time soon. once it was above 50 mins, i asked the server again about the status. to my surprise, the server asked me for another 10 mins. now this was getting ridiculous. to paint a better picture in words, there were 3 more couples that came after us, had their food and had already left after paying their bill, while we were still waiting for our 2nd main course. the sad part about this was that even after 10 mins, they asked us for two more minutes. it was already 5:10(we had walked in at around 3:50) and they were still asking us for more time. we eventually decided to cancel the order and asked for the bill. voila, the food finally arrived. but we were extremely annoyed by then and didn't want to wait a single second. we didn't have the dish, paid the bill and left.
sad part in all of this, we really liked the food and were eagerly waiting for the steak.
few things to the restaurant : i understand, mistakes do happen. however, if the steak was not started and missed out, you should have suggested something else which had lesser prep time instead of promising something impossible in 5 mins.
secondly, no matter how big the other group in the other tables are, you cannot ignore the other people in the restaurant.
giving 2 for now. if by any chance we visit again, might change to a better rating depending on theserviceand food at that time.
