the food is good but the service sucks. they have outdoor seating which is a plus on warm summer nights for people watching off peachtree street. we ordered the fra diavolapizzaand the seafood linguini. they make all their pizzas by hand in a wood fired oven which is reminiscent of authentic italian pizzerias. the linguini was ok but nothing to write home about. overall i would reccommend this restaurant for their authentic wood fired pizzas and hopefully the poor service was an anomaly.

lunchpizzaspecial was 3 meat. absolutely loaded with toppings. ham and salami both excellent but sausage was off the charts good. not like eating a licorice stick but definitely italian. crust was just right, from fired oven. just tough enough to have "that" texture. price was surprisingly reasonable, especially since two could eat and be well satisfied. if i lived here, would frequently bring my wife. she would love the ambiance. and the food. and the service (thanks, michael). strong recommendation.

ok experience. it was a good dining experience. everything was just ok. i can't complain about anything here but nothing really blew me away. i wish i had ordered apizzahere. i would suggest sticking with those over the pasta.

the good, the bad and the pizza. went here tonight at the suggestion of the concierge desk at the w hotel. it gets a mixed review. first, it's a beautiful space. it pretty much looks the part of a traditional-style italian restaurant, or as close as you would get in the u.s. and then i heard the theme song to the latest bourne movie. um...okay. my server, annie, was friendly and pretty prompt. i ordered a cocktail to start and then waited and waited until a guy **in a plaid shirt** and jeans delivered the cocktail with a sticky stem. (sigh). okay. the servers and busboys are wearing black shirts and long black aprons and an assistant manager is in a plaid shirt.

the lights and candles added a nice ambiance as the sun went down and i realized i had one of the best seats in the house, even though i was dining alone; perfect view of the wood burning oven. i ordered apizza(romana, i believe, with pancetta, onions and sun dried tomatoes). although the oven is wood burning, they need to crank up the heat a few notches, as thepizzawasn't remotely charred and the crust hadn't even risen very much. thepizzawas pretty overloaded, the onions - lets be honest - would have benefitted enormously by being caramelized rather than simply fried and the tomatoes tasted kind of cheap.

part way through, i asked annie for a recommendation for a glass of mid-priced full-bodied red wine. again delivered by the plaid shirt with a sticky stem. the wine itself, though, was wonderful. stellar. so i really must say, annie's service, recommendations and conversation kind of saved the show, even though she was pretty busy by the end of my visit.

this restaurant could be a lot more, with just a few changes. first, require *everyone* dress the part, not just the staff earning $2.13/hour (and wipe down the glassware stems). crank up the wood fire heat (perhaps heating it a few hours earlier; 500 degrees is not hot enough for the product you are supposed to deliver from a wood-burning oven). pare down thepizzatoppings. and for heaven's sake, put on some decent italian music. if i want to hear contemporary music, i'll go to a fast food place, diner or american-style place. i wanted to like this place a lot more than i actually did.

our server was surly, he was displeased we were straight and had kids. i had to pepper my own salad with his pepper mill. the bread was average. two sad pieces of ice in the water. sad little cheese ravioli. even macaroni grill is 20 times better. i truly wanted to leave a diaper on the table. a sad way to treat the individuals who allow your job to exist. thepizzawas good. the service was just pathetic and ... surly

baraonda's pizza!!!!!!!!!!. baraonda'spizzais very good. we went there before a play at the fox theatre. they seated us right away. the service was very quick. we ordered a caesar salad, a margarita pizza, and a prosciutto and arugula pizza. they were delicious and arrived quickly. they spoke spanish. the servers brought us everything we needed. the restaurant was really pretty inside. the restrooms were clean and modern and there was tile floors in the whole restaurant. one thing that was annoying, however, was that they had on the football game, and it distracted my little brother. all in all, it was very good.

baraonda is a midtown artisanpizzaemporium. it's at 3rd and peachtree. the atmosphere is casual/elegant, as you'd expect. they have their own wood or coal-fired oven that's right in the middle of the dining room. my friend jennifer and i were hungry so

great place to try!. we were trying to find a good, close place to the fox to go and enjoy a few drinks and dinner before a friday night concert. we sat out in the patio area to enjoy a great weather and it was great. we ordered the bruschetta (which was good) and the calamari as appetizers. i would say i would not suggest the calamari, there are much better places in atlanta for that. however, thepizzawas fabulous! and just 1 block from the fox. we would definitely go here again!
