this restaurant is delicious and affordable! very good pad thai! we went on a whim, but it was so worth it! our huge meal was only $7 and the ingredients were incredibly fresh! they use fresh basil, cilantro, and green onions. i would reccomend this restaurant to anyone who like thai, chinese, or korean food. there is something for everyone! there are also more traditional asian american dishes like general tso's or moo goo gai pan if you're wary of trying something new. i don't recommend the bubble tea though because it tastes pre- mixed and was a little too sweet for me. still tasty if you are a sweet tooth or milkshake lover. try bangkok! it's not fancy, but the food is delicious!

authentic. i have always loved thai food and often choose thai over other cuisines. i'm also a white guy who was in a longtime relationship with a thai partner. so, i know authentic thai food from the 'over produce' and often overpriced thai food that many restaurants have on their menu. bangkok is a close as i have found in columbus to true regional thai cooking. three of us went on a saturday afternoon and i can say that having sampled three items they were all excellent. i am ashamed to admit that i also had a spring roll. i say this only because it's so un-original to order the spring roll in any asian restaurant. but, i was blown away at how good it was. as best i can tell the wrap was seasoned on the inside with a touch of cinnamon that made the whole flavor unexpected and unique especially with the dipping sauce. well done bangkok! as arnold would..."i'll be back".

i got stuck driving a friend up to columbus to pick up a car, so we tried to make the best of it by finding a good spot to eat. this came highly recommend by the sales person and was also highly reviewed. it was good but didn't blow us away, it was good but " drive out of our way great"

the real deal. not the best thai food i've had but close to it and probably the best in columbus and unusually exceptional service. the usual waiter is bobby and could teach classes on how to treat customers. the prices are a bit high but not unreasonable and well worth it but be warned about the heat of some of the dishes and finding large chunks of spices, especially in the soups.

i have been a lover of asian food since the first time i shoved my pudgy little fist full of fried rice into my mouth at a local chinese restaurant at the early age of about two. since then, i’ve scored a pretty high “been there” percentage at most of the take-out and sit-down chinese joints in and around columbus. but in recent years, i’ve broadened my horizons by adding other asian cuisines, like filipino and thai food, to my rotation, and i enjoy discovering new dishes all the time. lucky for me, the house we moved to this past spring is located just around the corner from one of the most popular, and most authentic, thai restaurants in town – bangkok grocery & restaurant. the exterior of the building is fairly deceptive – because the restaurant is combined with an asian grocery market, you wouldn’t expect the seating area to be very large. the dining room, however, seats roughly 30-40 patrons and maximizes every inch of space without being cramped. now, honestly, the place just kin

very good thai. first off, this is a "hole in the wall" kind of place in an undesirable part of columbus. that being said, the place was packed on a rainy tuesday afternoon. i was very impressed with their lunch crowd.

my server was nice and prompt. the food took a little longer than normal, but probably because they were so busy. no big deal. as far as the food went, i think i had the pad prick dish with chicken. i asked for extra spicy, and it sure was. just like i like it. so spicy i almost cant stand it, but just enough where i can still enjoy and taste the food. the dish had more chicken than i have ever had in any chinese, thai, etc dish in my life. i was very impressed with the portion, although i would have liked some more veggies to even out the chicken. the biggest downfall was that the chicken was a little dry.

i would definitely give thsi place another try, and you should too.

oh, and dont go on mondays. they are closed. i made that mistake once...

the ingredients are well proportioned. the flavor is savory and it doesn't depend on the peanuts for its taste. this is really good pad thai.

best thai ever!. my friend introduced me to this place and ever since i've been hooked. the food is great (try the baby springs rolls w/ the mango-chili sauce & the tom yum gai!) and the staff is wonderful. we've gone there so much that they know what we want by heart, haha. it is a super small, hole-in-the-wall type of place, but i love it.

amazing thai. my family and i have only been there twice, but both times have been excellent. everyone there is really nice, and the food is amazing. i thought the food was priced decent as well--an order of baby spring rolls, an entree each for my husband and i, and a thai iced tea for me, was around $23/$24. we can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu.
