first time eating there and it was amazing!! i had thechickenfried steak which is the best i have ever eaten. for desert i had the chocolate pie which is also amazing! i would recommend this place to anyone from a date night to a family night out. this restaurant had great atmosphere and great service along with amazing food.

chicken strips. if you are close to the square in carrollton... don't miss babes... thechickenstrips with jalipino honey mustard are one of the top foods to put into your mouth in the world. if you have room the coconut cream pie is a dream... becareful because you could hurt your self eating here....

went to babe' s with a friend. after having heard so much about this place, i expected the food to be great. i ordered thechickentenders. to me, they tasted likechickenyou get at any otherchickenplace. nothing special. they do give you plenty of food though.

the best part of this place is ambiance you feel like you have reached to some vintage place using some time machine.

though it has some selected dishes but they are best in what they serve.chickentender was really awesome..

and i actually liked the salad as well as the biscuits that they served at the start.

so all and all its a nice place to be in a place like dallas...

if you have not been to babe's, you will need to experience the delectable food served. the grilledchickenand the fried fish is awesome. you must certainly top off your meal with the banana pudding. it is very tasty. this is a must try.

we went to the carrollton outlet for brunch. we had to wait for 20 minutes to get a table. since there were 4 adults, we decided to try hickory smoked chicken, fried chicken, friedchickensteak, andchickenfingers/strips. the free flow of green salad with vinegar was most appetising. we thoroughly enjoyed this meal, supported by friendly & cheerful service, and will be back!

kid friendly spot and very affordable prices. i was more impressed with the sides but thechickenwas good. i would recommend the mashed potatoes and the green beans but not the salad cause think about it who goes to a friedchickenspot for salad. skip that and you will be fine.

this place has amazingchickenand some of the best creamed corn i have ever had, try this place, it is outstanding. this place has also great mashed potatoes.

my husband and i are in the area for the week, and we had been looking forward to a hearty dinner at babe's, after seeing it featured on television.

we had a half hour wait to be seated, in the outdoor gathering area, so plan your attire according to the weather forecast. those thirty minutes gave us time to take photos of our kiddos with interesting backgrounds and check out the antique farm equipment and fire truck.

once seated, our waitress didn't want to let us see a menu. she told us what was available and rushed us to order. heads up: there is no coca-cola or pepsi here, but you will find rc cola. we're from south ms and didn't find the sweet tea quite sweet enough.

our teenager opted for the three friedchickenfingers and ice water, while our nine year old chose the country fried steak and a lemonade. neither one of them took more than a few bites of food, stating that is was just ok.

my hubby picked the friedchickendinner plate. it was entirely too salty, and he wasn't able to finish his meal.

i chose the country fried steak, and it was a huge portion. it did taste good to me, but i was also ravenous from traveling.

the sides included a salad, which is literally nothing more than a bowl of lettuce with vinaigrette. they do not offer any other toppings or dressings.

the other sides included: corn, which was sweet; the greenbeans, well seasoned with bacon grease; and the mashed potatoes, with white gravy, which were ok.

overall, we were let down. we're glad we visited, but we won't return.

we loved to occasionally pick up babe's when we lived in dallas, been to the carrolton and the garland locations, take out only never eating in. great friedchickenand an order comes with all the sides. chickenis great,chickentenders good as well, fried catfish good, pot roast good, but the friedchickendinner is the main thing. the sides are good, but not necessarily wowing, salad is simple but fine, iceberg salad with a vinaigrette, mashed potatoes good, green been a ok, corn ok, biscuits tasty, gravy good. at carry out they will give you honey, hot sauce, and real butter, definitely get them, hot sauce and some honey with the chicken, and honey and butter for the biscuits are great. i was in dallas for work a few months back and made sure to grab achickendinner while there.

simply awesome!. i went there yesterday, the friedchickenis the best i have had. i loved the concept, building and waitstaff. if you are near frisco don't miss an opportunity to go there. you will leave stuffed and the cost was inexpensive. a+

good old fashion home cooking. gravy is amazing. hadchickenfried steak - awesome. corn & mashed potatoes are solid. first time here and i would definitely be back.

i loved it. coming here to visit during a work trip, i am honored to have stumbled upon babes. famous for its friedchickenthough i suggest getting the fried catfish and the country fried steak. i ordered both which were amazing and put me in a state of delirium. to top it all off the all you can eat sides of mashed potatoes, corn, biscuits,and green beans were enough to make any mans knees weak. i'll definitely be coming back on my next trip and i pray they expand into the dc area.

quantity over quality. if you want a big meal of comfort food and don't care that it's not prepared from good fresh ingredients, this is the restaurant for you. instant mashed potatoes, canned veggies and an overdressed, over-sweet iceberg salad. the meat selections are fair but there are other places to get good friedchickenorchickenfried steak where the rest of the meal is of much better quality. this is just more food than a person should eat at one sitting and not really great food either.

you basically have the option of fried chicken,chickenfried steak,chickenfingers, fried catfish, or smoked chicken. everyone at the table shares sides: green beans, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, and biscuits. you also get salad at the start of the meal. however, the salad is pretty much iceberg lettuce with a heavy dose of suggary dressing. i'm not a fan of creamed corn in general, but all of the rest of the food was amazing. i think i had three helpings of mashed potatoes. they aren't quite as good as the potatoes at celebration, but they are tasty.
