bab al hara restaurant

this is a restaurant that i bumped into while driving around hunting for a good shawarma. what attracted me to thisplacewas the queue outside the restaurant waiting for their orders to be delivered and the volume of people who were actually approaching the place.

the order was taken promptly by the manager of the restaurant, however, though it was just 2 shawarmas, i had to wait around 40 minutes for it to be prepared for us. the staff work very haphazardly, where customers coming in (apparently regulars at the restaurant as they seemed to knew people there) and jumping the queue and kept getting their orders delivered to them before me. i kept waiting there and reminding the staff that i am just waiting for 2 shawarmas, but was just gestured to wait and that it will take 5 minutes.

finally, the manager/cashier saw me waiting and getting agitated and decided to pitch in to have my order handed over to me.

theplacewas definitely not somewhere i would go back to, even though the shawarmas are very cheaply priced; at the end of the day they were not worth the effort and time wasted.  in an industry that works on service and word of mouth, thisplacereally needs to up its game.

fix your beverages prices, make sure your food arrives hot and not gummy cold, and on time because it was absolutely late when thisplaceis 10 minutes from where i live, it took the food to arrive over an hour and 15 minutes, bad experience!

the onlyplacei order lebanese food from in ajman. never seems to disappoint me. ✌🏻

i have visited thisplacenumber of times, its one of the best arabian food in ajman, staff is very welcoming and very well behaved.

if you are craving for kebab or arabic food this is the rightplaceto dine in or order from. i highly recommend thisplaceto everyone. their delivery was super fast and about the food, their hammus, kebabs, tikka, shawarma and the sides were super fresh and delicious. i’m so glad that i found this hidden gem in ajman.

@babalhara_restaurant_ajman the food was freshh, juicy n mixed grill was soomuch flavorful.little bit on the expensive side but definitely worth the time and money...
to sum it up! a recommendableplacewith nice service and ambience.

thisplaceserves the worst grilled chicken and shawarma i ever had...the chef needs to try these things from other good restaurants to learn how it tastes like

waiting for paid delivery for 2 hours. and in the end received nothing. i hope thisplaceat least will refund my money back. so much frustrated and disappointed. this restaurant has no respect. the most awful experience ever.

one of the best places to eat arabic cuisine in general.. i tried thisplacemany times before and always i was happy with the food also i would highly recommend their shawarma it is the best in ajman.. prices are fare and thr ambiance is good..

theplaceis so good, food is clean and authentic, and i love it, i am a regular customer, but my criticism is the chicken shawarma, it has a funny taste and smell, as if the chicken is not clean, but other than that its all 10/10

absolutely love thisplacefor arabic cuisine. the kebabs and arayes are my absolute favorite. the management is very friendly and polite and its always a joy to visit this place.

i have tried many dishes here and never regretted any of it.

excellent variety of arabia foods and grills. we ordered the bab al hara 1 kg mix grill and lentil soup. over all great taste and good selection of kababs , meat tikka, chicken shish tawuk , chops, arais etc. good quantity if you are a group of 3-5 ppl. we also ordered some mango juice which was alrite.

service at thisplaceis just about ok. i visited recently for dinner during eid vacations and thisplacewas packed. absolutely packed! there was not single table available. i asked the manager how long we would have to wait and that i would like to write my name in que for a table. he said to me that there is no system or que to getting a table and that i would i have to look for a table myself. in short he suggested i should keep looking at tables which one is going to be empty soon and jump on it the moment people are ready to stand up. really didn’t appreciate his way of talking and “do not care if you eat or leave kind of attitude”. guys we are coming to your restaurant as customers and i for one had travelled all the way from dubai. the least u can do is help ur customers find a table ,and be polite . luckily for us , we managed to find a table in 10-15 mins on our own with help from anyone at the restaurant .the rating of 3 given above is from my experience in the past with them , however purely for this visit , i would score them a 1/5

usual arabic decor , simple design and over all neat and clean on most occasions.

i would highly recommend arabic food lovers to visit thisplacehowever strongly feel that public holidays should be best avoided. they are not very high on service but their food is excellent on most occasions.

very delicious food found in few places around. bab al hara was one of them for a long time. if you in for traditional shami food or shawarma this is theplacefor you. make sure to ask you shawarma from abu staif, best shawarma chef

decentplacefor arabic cuisine.
we tried the :
kabab roll - it's pretty long and stuffed. it could've been a little juicy as it was very dry, but nevertheless, tasted good.
fattah - if you're atleast 3 people, order this. it's a lovely side dish.
araees- good, could've been better.

will definitely come back for more.

a greatplacefor some authentic kababs, aryees and grills. hummus with meat and pine nuts was a super starter. the lamb kebabs were very succulent. they serve the main grills with garlic sauce, hummus and olives. its good to see a restaurant serving a wholesome plate of salad along with their grills. 

service was good, staff is very attentive. although their cleaning person came a little late to get our table ready. 
cosy ambience with decent outdoor seating. although the weathers a little too cold right now.
